Drinking water, but dehydrated?? Little ol' Me Due April 8; 1 child; Texas 43 posts

Hi guys! I went to the doc today fora 14 week checkup. I'm a bit concerned. I drink about 1 gallon to 2 gallons of water a day (been extremly thirsty). Anyhow, they ran my urine and there is some protein, but the nurse was concerned that I was a bit dehydrated. I told her I didn't see how that could be since I drink a ton of water, but she said that I needed to double that and drink cranberry juice due to the beggining of a UTI. I also have BV, which she gave me Flagyl for. So, has this happened to anyone? I can't believe that I'm going to have to drink even more water. How can I be on the verge of dehydration??? Just curious to see if this has happened to anyone else.

I've had the same problem this whole pregnancy.
I ended up having to go to the hospital every two days to get rehydrated threw an IV.
Things are better now so I don't have too. But it was hell.

I had all 3 symptoms during my pregnancy and i kept getting prescribed Flagyl and whatever else. But they never really got rid of the BV which was to my knowledge, making me dehydrated. It took them a while to figure out i had a yeast infection that was making the symptoms worse and once i was done with that medication, i went completely back to normal. Hope it helps. They say UTI and BV is common in pregnancy which sucks

Well, judging from the replies, I'd have to say that it's odd, but common. Well, I will just drink all the water I can hold and waddle to the bathroom every 10minutes. Thanks girls for all your replies.
