they may have to do an MRI, when my son was born he had to have one done because he has a "dimple" at the top of his little crack. he has a normal buttcrack but before you get to thetop of it the skin is fused together and then it starts again but its only like 1/2 an inch in length. they thought he might have spinal problems because of it but the MRI cleared any doubt they had.

I have the exact problem. The crooked crack and dimple on top. As a baby my doctors thought nothing of it. Jump 13 years later and Parents noticed I ran funny and could run normal. My arches in my feet were really high and I walked on the outside of my feet. I went to see a family doctor then he sent me to a neurosurgeon. I have a tethered cord. Its when the bottom of the spine is connected with the hip which can cause walking issues later in life. Im lucky they found out when they did but I still have many foot issues. Ive been going to physical therapy for 3 years. I hope you find out whats causing it. And if its a tethered chord nows a great time to get it fixed.

Noticed in hospital, looked like someone had made a indentation with their fingernail at the top of her crack. I kept questioning it. I mentioned it at 1st set of shots, then again at 4mth shots. They set us for a U/S, only to find out she was to old for the infant images that were needed. Meanwhile the indentation started getting more pronounced, curving to the right. So an MRI was then scheduled, that was done 2day. She will meet with the pediatrician 2mrrw for 6mth shots. Hopefully the radiologist will have read the MRI and sent the results. We are very positive, but we wanted to be on the safe side. We would have never forgiven ourselves if we waited. Early detection is the safest bet. She is extremely ahead for her age, non~stop active!!!! By doing this, it is putting my mind at ease.
