im almost 35 weeks pregnant and have been having horrible contractions and back pain and pelvic pressure... when i went to the dr last friday he told me i can start these pills to keep the contractions down till im 36 weeks if i want. he said it was totally up to me if i wanted to take em or not. so i got em just incase but they make me feel so nervous and all jittery! i feel like i ate a box of caffeine pills and drank bout 10 cups of coffee... lol but i stop taking em ill more than likely end up going into labor in about a week... so im wondering if anyone has delivered or knows anyones whos delivered around 35-36 weeks and how everything went for them... i delivered my daughter at 36 weeks and ended up having an emergency c-section. i couldnt push her out. im scared of having another one cause im trying to do a vbac this time. she was perfectly healthy just had jaundice... im debating on stopping the pills and just letting things happen. any advice???
My sister was induced at 36 weeks. Her LO was on the small side (6 pounds 3 ounces) and was a little jaundiced. Other than that, she was great. No breathing problems and went home three days later.
I would recommend trying to wait till 37 weeks...maybe just take the ppills 1/2 as often as you're supposed to...maybe it will keep the baby in for another week or so *shurgs* good luck
I would keep taking them until you're 37 weeks. They kept stopping my labor until I was that far along.
well my dr told me to stop em at 36 weeks... my daughter was 7lbs 8 1/2oz at 36 weeks... she was a big baby. pretty much the only reason my dr told me i could take them was so i could keep working for a couple more weeks... im thinking about just taking off now.any suggestions?
Well i was 36 weeks and 6 days and I ended up giving birth to a 6 lb 08 oz baby girl in 2007. She turned out healthy other then sleep apnea and stuff like that. ( sleep apnea Runs on mine and BD side)
My 2nd son was suppose to be around 8 lbs. I was induced at 37 weeks and he weighed 5 lbs 5 oz.
