I had to quit my job as a PCA due to domestic problems and I moved back in wih my dad. I have been unemployed for almost three months now. When I take my state boards on Dec. 5th I have a full time job already lined up at a local nursing home.
I am not going to be able to get my son any Christmas presents.
My dad is going to help me out this year. But I feel so shitty about everything that has happened and I cannot even give my son Christmas.
And his dad hasn't seen him in three months. Last time we broke up he saw him one time in six months. He has not helped me financially at all. and he is trying to get jint custody.
Its just been a hard past few.
I'm sorry. Have you thought about looking into agencies that hekp with christmas? like the salvation army they dont let kids go without.
I am so sorry to hear that, but Christmas is not about the gifts. Your son is so young that he will appreciate anything you can do for him.
Agreed. Check into the salvation army and a lot of churches have things for people who can't afford Christmas, donated toys and clothes, etc. However, keep in mind... with the age of your son, you don't need to stress to much. You can pull off the light Christmas without it being at all upsetting to him.
You should probably try to talk to you baby's father about child support. Go to court if you need to. If he's going to want joint custody, he'll definitely have to do child support... and it'll be funny if he brings up joint custody without ever being around, or ever helping.
I cant afford squat either. My phones already been shut off, my power bill is due today. We get paid in two days. My husband has to call the power company to see if they wont postpone the due date a couple of days for us. I cant go back to work either unless its well over minimum wage because I live so far out in BFE that me working would only pay for gas and babysitting. I cant get him any presents. My mom is going to buy him a couple, but I feel horrible too. I know what its like!
I am sorry mama!! :(
If I hadn't gotten the rest of the money from my college, I don't think I would have been able to do Christmas either. Luck will change for you! Don't worry! You'll be able to figure something out! :)
