On Wednesday the 11th of November after lunch I went for my 40-week antenatal appointment with my OB. My BP was 150/110 on my left arm and 150/106 on my right, she did an internal and said his head had dropped a bit more since my last internal (38 weeks) but my cervix was still posterior. Being due the next day (12th) she decided to go ahead and induce.
At 2.30pm I was admitted to the Maternity Ward and got my first lot of prostaglandin gels in at 5.30pm. I started to get slight contractions around 7pm. I didn
Aww he s a cutie congrats and enjoy mama , they grow so fast.
i read all of it :)
you were so brave! you certainly didnt have it easy but you've done so well :)
and he's gorgeous!
Cute!!! I can't believe you went through so much labour with no pain meds! Definately a super woman!!
why did they induce you? goodness...it's obvious your body wasn't ready for labor. if they had just left you alone for a while yet you prob'ly would have gone into labor and delivered your baby just fine. show's how ridiculous the medical world can be.
congrats tho...babies are such a blessing!
Congrats Mama!! He is adorable!!
TY so much for letting me be a part of it :D It was amazing getting all your updates.
He is beautiful and you are amazing
he is so beautiful, congrats again. i know i keep sayin it but seriously u done so well and he is such a cute lil bubba
Thank you a bunchladies :D
The reason I was induced was because of my blood pressure, I had struggled with it from 30 weeks but the last 5 were the worst, I was lucky to even see my due date!
Also there was more underlying problems than my body not being ready. The gels worked, they softened my cervix like they were supposed to. I wasn't dilating because 'apparently' Jayden wasn't engaging and that was because he was too big and in the wrong position, waiting another week would of only made him bigger. Also my cervix was posterior.

I am so happy he is here! I got the chills because he was born on Olivia's 8 month Birthday (Friday March 13th haha) and we had such a similar story! My BP was crazy and the induction failed. They told me my pelvis was too small, but the more people I hear about with high BP who end up with a c-section the more it makes me believe they are wrong!!
I am so so happy for you!! Congrats he is handsome!
