Am I wrong for wanting my neighbor's kids, who constantly have lice, to stay out of my house and not get close to my kid? He has had lice 2 times in the past 6 months because her kids get too close. One time they invited themselves into my house, and I didn't even know they were there cause me and LO were in the shower! WTF! Am I wrong or can lice get into my carpets, and sheets, and the fuzzy blankets LO likes so much and even his stuffed animals? Grrrr I HATE lice so much and these kids constantly keep it! Their mom has even admitted she has gotten so tired of spending money to get the lice out of their hair that she has quit doing it! Seriously?? The poor kids even have rashes on the backs of their necks where they bite them. I have tried every excuse in the book to keep her kids out of my house, but the kids never listen! What should I tell their mom!?

Oh, and it was SUPER embarrassing for me when my kid went to visit with family and we noticed he had lice! GRRRRR!

I wouldn't let them in my house or around my kids either. If their mother was actively trying to control the problem it would be gone already. Yuck.

I would keep my doors locked at all times and not let them in!! And yes it can get into your sheets, pillows, carpets, blankets, clothes, etc. Thats why they tell you to wash everything in HOT water and spray everything with the lice killer!

I would just be honest with the mom and tell her you don't want her kids in your house or around your son until they no longer have lice.

yes, lice get into anything fabric. Wash in super hot water or freeze everything. And LOCK YOUR DOORS. If they enter without permission, call the cops.

It is really expensive to get rid of lice. I spent about 300$ when my daughter got them. It was rediculously hectic and even after washing everything and spraying everything like a crazy person she kept ending up with them. I was about fed up with it too. But then I went on a three day vacation and treated everyones heads before we left and when I came back home it was finally gone.

I would beat their mother. Does she not care about her kids? That's really messed up and gross.I do think lice are building up an immunity to the pesticides used to kill them..

Lice can live 2-3 days away from a human head. The eggs can live up to 2 weeks. Nasty little things.
