Just a question for people in the military. How do you go about applying for WIC? Are you still able to? Just need information about it, I have been going all over the internet trying to figure it out.

Yes you just call the local wic office and set up an appointment, they'll tell you what you need to bring, which basically is proof of residence, LES, Birth certificate...etc etc...over here we have a WIC office on post, exclusively for military...

yes you can apply they go by your net income for the year it has to be under a certain amount to apply. Just go to your local health dept thats usually where you apply if not there they can tell you where to apply.

you apply the same way as if you werent military. it goes by income and whether you are military or not doesnt influence your eligibility.

WIC is just based off of income not the job...you just have to try and apply for it and they will base if off of how much income you have.

We have a WIC office on base we go through. Same thing applies for military families. You need his LES and any proof of income you may have, your lease agreement, and proof of address. Oh and of course your military ID. AND...proof of pregnancy and EDD. Just like a normal WIC application.

It's so weird! I've noticed a lot of people from Washington (military) also have WIC. My family has never needed it before we moved here! & I'm from California! I'm not sure what it is here..I go to the office in Tacoma but I read that they actually have one ON Post, but I haven't looked into it.
