Braxton Hicks at 15 Weeks??? Anyone else??? soupnazi626 United States 85 posts29th Aug '07
This is my third child that I'm having, so I'm very familiar with Braxton Hicks contractions. I'm only 15 weeks along and I'm having them!!! I've never had them this early before, is anyone else having them this early too? It's kinda freakin' me out a little bit. I never had them this early before with the other two pregnancies. I'm hopin' that I'm not the only one.....

I am 14 weeks 5 days and I started having what I would describe as BH this morning. I am surprised at the other posts! This is my fourth pregnancy and I agree that the more pregnancies the sooner you experience them, however, my OB put me on bedrest because he stated that BH are NEVER normal at this stage in pregnancy. They said to increase fluids and since I have no symptoms of UTI to stay on bedrest. (Of course if a UTI was causing contractions Antibiotic would be ordered.) If they are continuing on Monday I am not sure what the next step is. My advice-call your OB! Don't wait until your next appt. It may not be major but at least you are being cautious!

I'm almost 17 weeks and this is my second pregnancy, I def got them later with my first but know I've been feeling them for at least a week now randomly. I wouldn't be too concerned right away, make sure your hydrated enough with just good old water and try laying on your left side.

I started having BH contractions at 20 weeks with my first baby and am now feeling them at 15 weeks with this one. Your uterus contracts throughout your pregnancy and some women are more in tuned with that than others. It is only a problem in they are painful and consistent.
