Christmas is coming, and there isn't a better time to share a little holiday cheer. Stephanie Horman, the owner of the blog, Modern Day Wonderland, has decided to tackle the season in the best way possible. Horman has created a totally hilarious rendition of the "12 Days of Christmas", and this version is bound to resonate with tons of parents out there. As reported by the Huffington Post, Stephanie noted that she had heard other comedic covers of various holiday songs, but she felt that it would be amusing to create a style of her own. Inspired by her own lifestyle as a mom, Horman created her own unique twist.
While many of us have been singing the lyrics to the popular Christmas carol for weeks now, the words definitely make a big impact when remixed to suit a parent's lifestyle. For example, Stephanie writes, "On the first day of Christmas, my toddler gave to me... a dirty diaper under the Christmas tree!". To add to the drama, Horman even included an actual diaper in the photo she featured on her blog, complete with a tiny bow on top.

🎶On the second day of Christmas my toddler gave to me, two sleepless nights, and a dirty diaper under the Christmas Tree🎶🌲 . Any other mamas needing some extra large cups of coffee these morning?! 🙋😂 . Go check out my lovely friends at @saltyseadogdesigns because their extra large mugs have become my new OBSESSION. #rebuildmamasvillage
For the rest of the song, other highlights include, "On the second day of Christmas, my toddler gave to me... two sleepless nights". The writer also featured an amusing selfie of herself and her husband, half-awake, and clutching adorable coffee cups in bed. The pair also donned a couple of Santa hats, to keep with the festive theme.
We have to admit, her seriously hilarious images and words are just so relatable. For instance, "On the fifth day of Christmas, my toddler gave to me... five broken tree ornaments," and "...eight burnt Christmas cookies...".
Although the holiday season is bound to bring unexpected situations and a fair amount of stress, we hope that your family enjoys the quality time with one another. You can even try creating your own version of this classic holiday tune, complete with laugh-out-loud props and backdrops, too.
With Christmas here, this mom-approved caroling song is such a great way to share a little festive spirit with friends and family. Be sure to check back for more holiday-themed family news, soon!
