At the age of thirty-six years old she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This happened in April of 2008. In the beginning, she tried to live quietly about her disease. In the first five weeks of her treatment and while she was working, she didn't tell anyone what was going on with her. She is a daughter of a breast cancer survivor, her mother had this too. She got her mammograms every year since she was thirty years old. They only found her breast cancer with an MRI, because of the denseness of her breasts.

She had made the decision to have a bilateral mastectomy. She made this decision to avoid having to go through with the radiation and she didn’t want to wait for the other breast to get the cancer in it. She had this done in July of 2008. And guess what? She never has to wear a bra again, she feels so free, and feels victorious in her fight against breast cancer.

12 Shania Twain - Put Her Life On Hold For 15 Years

Shania Twain has Lyme Disease, she is a country music singer who is famous for a lot of her songs. She is fifty-two years old. For the last fifteen years she put things on hold to deal with the problems of her Lyme disease. She had problems with her voice due to the Lyme disease. Also during this time her ex-husband betrayed her while she was dealing with all of this.

Shania was a five-time Grammy winner, and now that she worked out all her voice problems she is making a comeback to singing. She dumped the ex-husband and found a new love, her life is great. She’s got her life on the right track and has her Lyme disease under control. She even has a new album coming out very soon. She is also going to star in a new movie with John Travolta.

Halle Berry was diagnosed with Diabetes type one in 1989, when she was taping the Living Dolls. She even went into a diabetic coma while she was shooting this show. Halle is very active as a volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes charity.

This disease happens when the body has a condition called hyperthyroidism, this is when too much thyroid hormone is produced in the body. This can greatly increase the body’s metabolic rate, and it can affect weight, the body’s energy levels, and the nerves. Missy did lose a great deal of weight with this disease.

At one time, she could not even write down any of her songs that she was trying to create. It is sad to say, but when the defective cells outnumber the healthy ones, it can cause a lot of problems; anemia is one, and some of the others are rapid bleeding, and even a severe infection can happen appear.

This is what can happen to people who were treated for cancer problems. The symptoms of this are compared to people who have bone marrow failure. They must take a bone marrow biopsy to get this diagnosis, with some blood work. There are different things that a person with this must go through to improve their quality of life. Which in the end, they need chemotherapy and a transplant of their bone marrow. Her sister is going to be her match for this.

If you don't remember Olivia Newton-John she starred in the movie Grease, as Sandy. She had breast cancer, and not once but twice. She is on her way to recovery after fighting it again for the second time. She is from Australia, and she is a strong woman. It was twenty-five years ago when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She did have some dark times when she was going through this for the second time, but she got though it thanks to her positive outlook on life.

She used chemotherapy along with natural supplements and yoga. She also used massage and music therapy to get through it. She used this the first and second time. This works for her. She will be sixty-nine on September 26 of this year. Just remember to stay positive and work through anything that comes along.

She spent years battling with extra pounds and not seeing the warning signs of being a pre-diabetic until she finally had developed type two diabetes. Sherri refers to the day she found out about having this disease as D-day. She made up her mind to get her life on track so that her son would not be without his mother. She lost the pounds and started to make healthy lifestyle choices. Her sisters also deal with this disease. Sherri thinks that if she had never got this disease, she would have never got her health on track, she still would be eating all the bad things and not exercising. In a way, this disease saved her life, and seemed to be for the best.

Then there is the chance she could have also had Rheumatic fever and it just got written down wrong back in the day. If it was the fever, she was very lucky as most who not have passed from this.
