"A well-oiled machine"– Kim Kardashian's household came under the microscope when a source told OK! that it's "bringing the kids in for a quick Snapchat with mom, then whipping them away again if they start to cry or make a fuss." With so much footage of the Kardashians spending time with their kids, this was the biggest eye-opener of 2018.

Having a baby used to be an inconvenience. Today, it's the biggest career boost around. Kylie Jenner and Cardi B have made more headlines with their babies than anything else. Snooki probably wouldn't have her #2019Career without kids.

Back in the real world, nannies are something that requires a little disposable income. If there's no money, chances are a grandparent or aunt will watch the kids between shifts. In the celeb world, the family love is all there, but so are the 24/7 nannies. For some, it's a job the nannies are willing to put their all into. Others, like Kate Gosselin and Madonna's nannies, have quit.

When Angelina Jolie was reported to be spending $900,000 a year on nannies alone, the interest in celeb nannies started to make sense. At the same time, some celebs stand at a firm "no" when it comes to hiring help. They can be the busiest women on earth, and still, they won't go near a nanny.

It's time to break it down. Here are 15 celebs who rely on nannies (plus 6 who would never hire one).

20 KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN: NANNIES MUST CALL HER "MADAM"

Kourtney Kardashian is going to run out of excuses for being "the time-strapped mom"– Kim is expecting baby #4, and both Kylie and Khloe are running empires while juggling a baby. With three kids, Kourt spends as much time as she can with her little ones, but don't think the nannies aren't there.

"She asked me to call her madam at all times."

"Madam" is the title that OK! reports Kourtney insists her nannies call her by. The magazine outlined three nannies on Kourtney's payroll, but it was the reported "meltdown" that Kourt had when not addressed properly that made headlines.

19 GWEN STEFANI: INTERVIEWED 67 PEOPLE TO FIND THE RIGHT ONE

For all the rep celebs get for relying on their nannies, it's actually quite endearing to see a mom be this selective. Gwen Stefani is a mom to Apollo, Zuma, and Kingston. The total headcount might be three for Gwen, but Inquisitr reports that no less than 67 nannies were interviewed to find the perfect match.

"I'm super-unorganized, a real procrastinator," Gwen told Stylist. "Time management is non-existent. When I had [the kids], I realized I couldn't be selfish anymore. I had to interview 67 nannies alone, in this room, to get the people I have now." Nannies there may be, but Gwen is still seen with the kids.

18 ANGELINA JOLIE: $900,000 A YEAR ON NANNIES

"I wake up with my kids and I'm happy." Angelina Jolie went from 90s rebel child to mother of six in the biggest 180 we've ever seen. At the age of 43, Ange is now a single mother, but those high-profile appearances with the kids have an A-List team to match.

In 2011, Forbes reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina were spending "$10 million a year" on their kids. The staggering figure of $900,000 a year on nannies alone was reported by Hollywood Life. Private jets are how these kids roll, although strangely, we don't ever see the nannies themselves.

17 BLAKE LIVELY: "LOVES LIFE" WITHOUT HIRED HELP

A style queen she may be, but Blake Lively is one of the realest moms around. Ryan Reynolds takes care of the #MarriageGoals. The couple's two kids take care of the #FamilyGoals. Who actually takes care of them? Blake and Ryan, it would appear (plus a little help from the grandparents).

"I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers,"

Ryan told People. "As exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face," he added. "My parents are the best nannies," Blake admitted to New Woman. "They are the best baby nurses you could pray for," Blake said, adding that she "loves life" without professional help.

16 KYLIE JENNER: RELIES ON "A TEAM OF NANNIES AND ASSISTANTS"

Stormi turns one in February, 2019. As Kylie updated her Instagram to show an uber-luxurious beachfront vacay ahead of Stormi's birthday, we saw a lot of things. The dazzling-white sands were furnished for Kylie's shorefront dinner. The rainfall shower in the bathroom was surrounded by marbles. The nanny? Of course, you aren't going to see her.

Kylie relies on "a team of nannies and assistants," Cosmopolitan reports. While previous reports suggested that Kylie didn't want any nannies, it's likely that the reality of running her empire single-handedly sunk in. Us Weekly reports that Kylie hired a baby nurse shortly after Stormi was born.

15 MACI BOOKOUT: DOES EVERYTHING HERSELF

Look Maci Bookout up online, and you won't even see a nanny to weave a rumor about. This Teen Mom star 100% handles her responsibilities herself (and she started way younger than most). Maci is a mother of three. She shares two kids with her current husband, plus her oldest child with her ex, Ryan Edwards.

In December 2018, Instagram pics of Maci prompted Celebrity Insider to question whether Maci is pregnant again. While there's been no confirmation, Maci continues to show us the hands-on parenting that's made her an icon. Not a nanny in sight (and certainly not multiple ones).

14 JLO: KIDS HAVE TO "SCHEDULE TIME WITH HER"

JLO is one busy lady. With her age-defying 50th birthday approaching, Jennifer Lopez is juggling Shades of Blue, Second Act promo, her music career, plus all those workouts. Jen's twins? They have to "schedule" in for mommy time, The Metro reports

‘My son said to me this week, he goes, “Mom, I’d like to schedule … a picnic with you this week ’cause I know you’ve been, you know, working hard”. He was with me in New York, but still, he was like, “um I’d like to schedule a picnic for next Friday because we need more quality time”. Hollywood Life reports that JLO finally hired a nanny in 2015.

13 GAL GADOT: ENJOYS IT "ALL MUCH MORE" AS IT IS

Gal Gadot is still getting over the sudden fame from Wonder Woman. "I didn't know what I was auditioning for," Gal told Ellen Degeneres. With two kids and a marriage that's been going strong over ten years, Gal keeps a low profile (and that includes the kids). When Gal is seen with her daughters, there's certainly no nanny around.

"With Maya, I'm able to enjoy it all much more," Gal told Baby about motherhood. "I've also seen that having a second child changes the dynamics of your family," adding that she needs to make sure both her kids get attention. One thing's for sure– they're getting that attention from mom, not a nanny.

12 KATE GOSSELIN: THE NANNY QUIT

Jon and Kate Plus 8 might seem way in the past, but Kate Gosselin is still front-page news. The Kate Plus 8 star is now photographed with an oldest daughter in her teens, but this kid is old enough to remember the 2014 "nanny headlines."

Kate's "meltdowns" made her nanny quit in 2014– cleaning up after chickens and pool maintenance was too much.

Kate's nanny revealed that extreme punishment of the kids alongside duties of cleaning the pool drove her to call time on her job, according to The Daily Mail. "She needs psychological help," the newspaper reported.

11 KHLOE KARDASHIAN: HIRED A NANNY AS AN "EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SYSTEM"

Khloe Kardashian is still gushing over how motherhood has changed her. Baby True was born in April 2018, and this little cutie is already living the high life with luxury trips to Bali and baby Versace. Khloe is hugely into her wellness, and that seems to have factored into her unusual reasons for hiring a nanny.

The nanny is Khlo's emotional "support" system, The Daily Mail reports. A source told People: “Khloe seems to like having someone with experience help her, but she still spends most hours of the day with her daughter." Less in-your-face than Kim's nannies, but help is there, nonetheless.

10 VICTORIA BECKHAM: "I CAN'T DO IT ALL MYSELF"

Despite her haughty vibe, Victoria Beckham remains one of the humblest moms around– Victoria has repeatedly confirmed that her "surface look" is just a front. "Fashion stole my smile" are even Victoria's statement tees.

This 2018 pic of Victoria with her daughter, Harper was adorable. As to nannies, Victoria has been open. "I do have a bit of help, I have a nanny, I can’t do it all myself," The Express quotes Victoria saying. "I have great people who handle my schedule. If there’s a parents’ night or Easter bonnet parade or nativity parade, I plan around that so I can be heavily involved."

9 MILA KUNIS: "WE WANT TO BE THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW WHAT TO DO"

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher don't do Hollywood-style parenting. They keep their kids out of the public eye, and they do the parenting themselves. Speaking to Hello! Ashton said:

"We just want to know our kid. We want to be the people that know what to do when the baby's crying to make the baby not cry anymore. We want to know, like, when she makes a little face or something, we want to be emotionally in touch with her. And I think the only way to do that is by being the one who's there." Mila and Ashton remain very much against nannies.

8 CARDI B: "NOT READY" TO HIRE A NANNY FOR KULTURE

The 2018 arrival of baby Kulture made huge waves– Cardi B basically outdid Kylie Jenner in the baby name department. So far, Cardi is keeping it real. People reported Cardi saying:

“A lot of people keep telling me, ‘You need to find a nanny because you gotta start working soon,’ and it’s so hard because I want to be with my baby every second.”

Cardi shared this via Instagram, alongside another message saying: I have not gotten a nanny yet. I just want to learn how to be a mom."

7 MEGAN FOX: IT WAS A NANNY OR A DIVORCE

With her travel show airing soon, Megan Fox is back in the news. The Transformers actress and her #OnOff husband, Brian Austin Green are parents to three children– while they divorced in 2015, Megan seems to be wanting to give her relationship a second chance. It came with an ultimatum, though.

"Two weeks ago I said to Brian, 'We have to get a night nurse or we're going to get a divorce because somebody's got to sleep in this house or we're going to kill each other," Megan told The Daily Mirror. She added that having an infant is "difficult." Kudos for admitting that kids are a lot of work.

6 MARIAH CAREY: "I FIRE MY NANNIES LIKE THIS..."

It's Mariah Carey– would we expect anything else? With 20 doves, 100 kittens, and confetti-shaped butterflies as her hotel arrival requests, Mariah tops The Daily Mail's "diva" lists for a reason. Mariah is a mother to twins, Moroccan and Monroe. Speaking to Hello! Mariah said:

“Unfortunately I have to have nannies." That was, however, followed by: “But I’m very hands on. I fire nannies like this"– Mariah then snapped her fingers. With $535 million to her name, this is one celeb mom who can afford the fees. Mariah is also raising the kids alone following her divorce from Nick Cannon.

5 KIM K: KIDS "WHIPPED AWAY" WHEN THEY START CRYING

Everyone wonders how Kim Kardashian does it. Watching KUWTK, we see Kim playing with all three of her kids (and there's a fourth on the way). North, Saint, and Chicago are all over Kim's Instagram, but The Mirror's insider report tells a different story.

"It's a well-oiled machine with three nannies moving around the house, bringing the kids in for a quick Snapchat with mom, then whipping them away again if they start to cry or make a fuss."

The report continued to say: "Kim and Kanye want to project this perfect family image. At home it's easy to show everyone a glossy social media version of themselves." Kim does adore her kids, though.

4 SNOOKI & JWOWW: GIVE THEIR NANNIES MAKEOVERS

It's always a little unusual with Snooki and Jwoww. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stars are now a million miles from their former party days– Snooki has even said that the "Gym, tan, laundry" motto from Jersey Shore has become: "Giggles, toys, love."

In 2018, A Youtube video showed Snooki and Jwoww team up to treat their nannies to a makeover. These hard-working nannies got treated to the full glam treatment. Given the reports of poor nanny treatment that celebs always wind up having to defend themselves about, this is pretty nice to see. Snooki will welcome her third baby in 2019.

3 JESSICA ALBA: CREDITS HER NANNY FOR EVERYTHING

Jessica Alba was loved long before she became a mother. The Fantastic Four actress now runs the Honest beauty and baby line (and she's as honest in real life). Jessica has three daughters, and yes, they come with a nanny. Nanny Connie has even written a book. Jessica continues to shower Connie with love on Instagram.

“I’d like to introduce y’all to a very special person. My sweet @nannyconnie,” Jess wrote. “Nearly 10 years ago she came into my life and showed me the ropes with my newborn baby Honor... She taught me how to bathe, breastfeed and soothe my new baby." Full props to the nanny (and Jessica).

2 MAYIM BIALIK: "I DON'T HAVE A HOUSEKEEPER OR NANNY OR CHEF"

With some of the most controversial parenting philosophies around, Mayim Bialik is The Big Bang Theory actress who is now more famous for motherhood than her Amy Farrah Fowler role. Co-sleeping and attachment parenting are how Mayim rolls, and she's written a book on it.

"I don't have a housekeeper or nanny or chef," Mayim told The Telegraph, adding: "And I use a babysitter less than once a month." Beyond the Sling might be written by a celebrity, but remember that Mayim has a Ph.D. in neuroscience. This star is as smart as her on-screen character (without having to deal with Sheldon).

1 BEYONCE: SIX NANNIES AT $100,000 EACH

If you've wondered why Beyonce's Instagram following is kinda stagnating, that might be because people can feel a touch alienated by the diva vibe. An icon Beyonce may be, but with her $1.16 billion joint net worth with Jay-Z, Bey is spending it like she earns it.

No less than six nannies (at $100,000 a year each) is Marie Claire's report of Bey's childcare expenses. That's for three kids. Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi are being raised with a ton of love, but you can't say that a ton of nannies isn't also part of the equation
