It is every fan’s biggest dream that one day their idol will see them in the audience, or catch their eye in a serendipitous meeting in the aisle of the grocery store. We have all had that fantasy that our dream someone will notice us, sweep us off of our feet, and live with us happily ever after. Sounds like pure fantasy, right?

But this does actually happen. Celebrities do date, marry, and have children with regular folks like you and me. One might be thinking, “Sure, but anyone big. Not anyone we actually care about…” Wrong again. Some of the biggest male celebrities of this generation and generations past have not only fallen in love but have married and knocked up their fans. What I am saying is…there is hope.

Keep going to your concerts. Keep waiting, eyes wide in the cookie aisle of Target for that special someone to waltz around the corner. Keep drinking your coffee in the trendy coffee shop that is known for its elite clientele because one never knows you will walk through that door.

If this list shows us anything, it is that dreams of a celebrity love affair can actually come true.

15 Conan O'Brian

I’m sure that every fan of a late night TV show host has had the same fantasy: you sit quietly in the audience, laughing at all of the appropriate moments during filming. And then, though the odds are against you, his eyes find yours in the crowd. He holds eye contact throughout the show and every time he does so you experience the craziest fit of the butterflies. Afterwards he asks to see you backstage. From there, you fall in love, marry, have children, and live happily ever after.

It may sound like a load of BS but this actually happened to Conan O’Brian and his now wife, Liza Powel.

O’Brian told Piers Morgan, “Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there’s footage of me literally falling for my wife on camera.”

14 Matt Damon

Everyone’s favorite Bourne star has been Hollywood elite for decades. He began his career with his best friend, and writing partner, Ben Afflec. Somehow Matt Damon seemed to retain that small town, down-to-earth vibe that seems to get so easily lost in the glamorous world of stardom.

Damon met his wife, Luciana Barroso, when she was a bartender. Two years later they got married and they now have three beautiful children together. Luciana is smart and gorgeous. She may not have been a celeb before her marriage but she seems to do well in front of the cameras on the rare occasions that the two of the step out in public.

The couple has clearly found something that works—they have been married for about 945 years in Hollywood time.

13 Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley is arguable one of the most famous musicians of all time. He was even dubbed “The King of Rock n’ Roll”. Girls across the nation—nay the world—fell at Presley’s feet, calling themselves the ultimate fans and offering to do anything for the super star.

But it was at a party in his home in Germany, when was serving in the Army, that Elvis met his match in a 14-year-old fan named Priscilla. The two had a rocky love affair but it still viewed to be one of the most momentous relationships in Hollywood. They had one daughter, Elvis’s only child, whose name is Lisa Marie.

Though his music lives on long after his death in 1977, I would guess that his biggest accomplishment was the birth of his sweet daughter.

12 Mario Lopez

For any kid of the 90's, you knew who Mario Lopez was. He was the hot, bad boy from everyone's favorite after-school show, "Saved By The Bell".

Courtney Mazza was a fan but had her own go thing going; she was starring along side of Lopez in the Broadway revival of "A Chorus Line". Mazza played it cool-- she did not fawn over Lopez which he was used to. Although she admired him she had a career of her own to think about.

Lopez told Extra, "She's beautiful, but aside from that, she's extremely talented," he said. "Then she ignored me, so that made me even more attracted to her!"

Lopez asked out Mazza until she finally caved. The two have been inseparable. They have two children: Dominic and Gia.

11 Nicolas Cage

Celebrities, though shielded from the world in many ways, still have to go out and buy groceries, grab a coffee, or quick a bite to eat. Nicolas Cage was eating at a restaurant when he met the mother of his child—Alice Kim—who also happened to be his waitress. (See—love can find you just about anywhere! A bus, a train, a diner!)

Alice was only 19 at the time, but the age difference did not stop Cage from pursuing his teenage fan. These two eatery-lovebirds fell in love and got married. They have one child together, a son named Kal-el. There have rumors in the past year about trouble in paradise but as far as anyone can tell, the two are still legally married, going on 11 years together.

10 Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey, also known as “McDreamy” from the hit ABC show Grey’s Anatomy, is another example of a male celebrity who not only fell in love with a fan but married her and had children, as well.

Jillian Fink was working in her salon when she was introduced to Dempsey. (Doesn’t this sound like the plot to one of the many romantic comedies that Demspey is famous for?) The two were married in 1999 and are still going strong. They have three children together; daughter Tallula and twins Sullivan and Darby.

Although their marriage hasn’t always (there were rumors of a split in 2015 but the couples has since reconciled), Dempsey told ES magazine, “You have to work at everything. And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.”

9 Kelsey Grammer

Kelsey Grammer’s most famous character portrayal was that of Dr. Frasier Crane—the ultimate bachelor, try though he may to change his circumstance. Unlike his character, in real life Grammer has been romantically involved in serious relationships with many women, including his wife Kayte Walsh. He has six children all together, anWalsh was a British flight attendant when they met and a huge fan of the actor. The two hit it off in the air and never looked back.

Today they are married and have three children together and have said they want more. His daughter from Greer (from a previous marriage) told People, “I think my dad and Kayte are the best parents. They love having little kids and they want a huge family, so I think it’s just really exciting.”

8 Steve Harvey

Steve Harvey has a reputation for saying exactly what is on his mind. This has made him wildly successful not only in his career but also in his personal life. In 1990 when Harvey was performing at a comedy club in Memphis, he looked out into the audience, pointed at a woman and said, “I don’t know who are but I’m going to marry you.” That woman, the fan watching his show, was named Marjorie.

The couple was together for 17 years before tying the knot in 2007. The two have three children together: Jason, Lori, and Morgan Harvey.

If these stories prove anything it is that celebrities are just like regular people; they find love just about anywhere. Regular people can marry celebrities—it happens all of the time!

7 Christian Bale

Christian Bale met his wife, and fan, Sibi Blazic, when she was working as Winona Rider’s assistant. Ryder and Bale go back years, so it was only a matter of time before he was introduced. The two married in 2000 and have two children together.

Bale, in reference to Sibi told Us, “She’s probably the most strong woman I’ve ever come across in my life,” he gushed while his love stood beside him. “And I — You’re making me all tearful! I’m too much of a softie! I don’t think I am, but then you got me with that!”

Bale admits that marriage isn’t easy, especially for his wife. He goes so deep into his characters that he joked that she had been married to many different men over the years.

6 Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld is a comedic legend. His hit TV sitcom "Seinfeld" is the best show. Like Maybe ever made. So many jokes have stemmed from those scripts.

Jerry met his wife, Jessica Sklar, at the gym of all places! (This makes me rethink my gym attire...)The couple has been married since 1999.

Although they have been married for years and have three children together, not everyone is Jessica's biggest fan. In an interview with The New York Times she explained, "Over the years there have been various people who think being in a relationship with me either personally or professionally means total access to my husband, for their personal and professional fulfillment. Those people have been disappointed in me. I think it is safe to say that I am slow to warm, cautious and careful."

5 Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise has been a huge star for as long as I can remember, so it is no wonder that it would be hard to meet a woman who wasn’t a fan of his. But though Katie Holmes was an actress herself, she has admitted that she had had a crush on Cruise for years before they actually met in real life. In an interview with Seventeen magazine in 2004, Katie said, “I think every little girl dreams about (her wedding). I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise.”

Much to the surprise of just about everyone, Katie did just that.

Cruise and Holmes met in 2005 when he was gearing up to film Mission: Impossible 3. They had one daughter together, Suri in 2006 and married shortly after.

4 Tobey Maguire

Tobey Maguire met his wife (and fan!), Jennifer Meyer, in 2003. She was a jewelry designer and he was a famous actor known for big movies like “Spiderman”, “Pleasantville”, “Wonder Boys”, and :The Cider House Rules”. Three years later, the couple married in Hawaii in an intimate ceremony. They have two children: Ruby and Otis.

Although the two split in 2016, they have one of those weird relationships where all they can do is gush about each other. She may have started out as his fan, but it is clear that the feeling is mutual. Meyer told THR in an interview regarding Maguire, "I don't know what I would do without him — Tobey's my best friend. I lucked out in the biggest of ways. He's still very sweet to me."

3 Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler may not be quintessentially “hot” but for anyone who grew up in 90’s he was our golden boy. Sandler is known for his weird voices, raunchy comedies, and hilarious comedy music that has given us gems like “The Hanukkah Song”.

Sandler met his wife, Jaqueline Titone (a huge fan of Saturday Night Live) during filming of his hit movie “Big Daddy”. She was cast as a waitress during the movie but she ended up walking away with a little more than an acting job. The two were married in 2003 and have two children: Sadie and Sunny.

The couple is still married today and Jackie makes appearances in almost all of Adam’s movies, even if it just for a moment. It seems like a private romantic joke between the two of them.

2 John Travolta

It is fair to say there was hardly a woman (or girl) alive who did not have the hots for John Travolta during his prime. He was sexy, he was funny, and the man could dance!

Actress Kelly Preston was no exception. The two met when they were filming the movie “The Experts” in 1987 and have been together since.

Travolta and Preston had three children together: Jett, Ella, and Bejamin. But Jett tragically died in a bazar accident in the Bahamas in 2009. Through thick and thin, they have managed to stay together. As any parent who has lost a child will attest, that is definitely not an easy task.

(Side note: can you imagine watching “Grease” and thinking, “That man right there is my husband!?” That would be crazy!)

1 Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr was part of a little group that you may have heard of—THE BEATLES. Starr, the drummer for rock band, met and married one of his fans: a young woman named Maureen Cox. Cox was a hairdresser at the time and saw The Beatles as often as time would allow. It was not clear exactly how the two were introduced, but a love affair was born.

The two were married and had three children: Zak, Jason, and Lee.

I think it would be safe to say that it would be impossible for any member of The Beatles to date someone who was NOT a fan—because who isn’t? Even now, decades after their last record was released, people are still talking about them, listening to them, telling their children about them.
