Even two kids feels like a lot for many parents, but plenty of celebrities have gone on to have huge families that would pose a challenge for average folks. Whether it’s the deep pockets or the ability to hire multiple nannies as they travel the globe, celebrities with big families are becoming the norm. From favorite reality TV families to celebs who like to keep their private lives under wraps, there’s no shortage of children growing up in the limelight.

While many of these celeb dads are in the news right now, a few are from past generations, although their legacies live on not only through their kids, but through their talents too.

Then again, there’s no true way to confirm how many kids any celebrity father has, so plenty of the men on this list could very well have more kids than have been recognized.

Undoubtedly, these celebrity marriages and their families’ lives are much different than those of us regular folks, especially when divorces and child support rear their ugly heads. Then again, most of these celeb dads have not only a record-breaking amount of kids, but also a record-breaking amount of money to care for them with.

15 Brad Pitt - Six Altogether

While the magic that was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has apparently fizzled out, their family is still a source of interest to both the media and us average folks. When the two got together, her Wikipedia page notes, Jolie already had two kids that she adopted. Her first, Maddox, was adopted in 2002 when he was seven months old, right at the end of her marriage to Billy Bob Thornton. In 2005, Jolie adopted baby Zahara, and this time Pitt was along for the trip- although he wasn’t able to formally adopt Zahara until later.

In 2006, Jolie and Pitt’s first biological child was born in Namibia- daughter Shiloh. The following year, Jolie adopted baby Pax on her own due to local adoption laws. Pitt formally adopted Pax in 2008. The couple then rounded out their family with twins who were born in 2008.

14 Clint Eastwood - Seven Kids With Five Women

With a reputation as a womanizer, Clint Eastwood has had at least seven kids with five different women- if not more. His first confirmed child was born in 1964, while his youngest was born in 1996. Despite having so many children, Eastwood has only been married twice, once to Maggie Johnson and once to Dina Ruiz. His marriage with Maggie Johnson spanned a staggering thirty-one years. During that time, he fathered two children with Johnson but apparently kept up his cheating ways with multiple long-term relationships outside the marriage.

Now that he’s nearing 90, we’re assuming Eastwood is probably done having kids- so his official number is seven, although he’s rumored to have impregnated a woman who later gave his daughter up for adoption, prior to his marriage to Maggie Johnson.

13 Kevin Costner - Seven Kids With Three Women

Famous dad Kevin Costner has seven kids from three different relationships. Annie, Lily, Grace, Joe, Liam, Cayden, and Hayes range from age seven to 33, according to Closer Weekly. While Costner admitted that his older kids have been a little jealous of the younger set (three were born to wife Christine Baumgartner between 2007 and 2010), he just had to remind them that they’ve already had more time with him than the younger ones ever will.

At the same time, Costner says there’s plenty of love to go around, and whether it’s your first or seventh child, there’s always a sense of wonder and a welcoming attitude. It probably helped that Costner was either married to or in committed relationships with each of his children’s mothers at the time they were born, as this celeb dad has steered relatively clear of illegitimate child rumors.

12 Kelsey Grammer - Seven Babies All Grown Up

With two decades of TV fame and four marriages, Kelsey Grammer has led a busy life. His total of seven children were born between 1983 and 2016, and his oldest daughter, Spencer, is a TV actress following in dad’s footsteps. When Grammer married a former Playboy model in 1997, they went on to have two children via surrogate- Mason and Jude- but that marriage ended in 2011. His next wife, Kayte Walsh, first suffered a miscarriage, but later birthed three children with Grammer- Faith, Kelsey, and Auden, according to the actor’s Wikipedia entry. 11 Rapper T.I. - Six Kids, Not All His Blood

Although rapper Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., or T.I./Tip, and his soon-to-be-ex Tameka Cottle (AKA Tiny) recently split, the VH1 show T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle showcased the duo parenting T.I.’s older kids (Domani, Messiah, and Deyjah), Tiny’s daughter Zonnique, and their own three (King, Major, and Heiress). Altogether, T.I. took responsibility for his five biological children and Tiny’s daughter from a previous relationship. The couple also lost a child who was stillborn at six months gestation, in 2007.

While his um, adult, activities got him in trouble when Tiny dropped off their kids for a routine visit, T.I. seems to be a very hands-on dad who recognizes the importance of successfully co-parenting all his kids with their respective moms. That’s good news for all the moms of T.I.’s kids, especially since it means they’ll all get to see each other despite their parents’ relationships ending.

10 Mick Jagger - Eight From Toddlerhood To Middle Aged

Now we understand what Maroon 5’s song meant when they referred to “moves like Jagger”- this rocker dad has eight children with five different women. The oldest child was born in 1970 while the youngest was in 2016 with 29-year-old Melanie Hamrick, the then-73-year-old’s girlfriend. That means Jagger’s kids range from toddler to upper 40’s!

While Jagger’s no stranger to relationship rumors, his fling with Hamrick stunned paparazzi who caught them on the balcony of a hotel in Switzerland. Later, photos surfaced of the dancer with a baby bump. Tabloids latched onto the story, since Jagger’s former partner, L’Wren Scott, died of suicide mere months before Jagger went public with his new love. The newest story surrounds speculation that Jagger was cheating on Hamrick while she was pregnant with their son, plus rumors that the two are no longer in a relationship.

9 Mike Tyson - Seven That Are Still Living

Mike Tyson’s first marriage ended in 1989 amid abuse allegations and rumors about wife Robin Givens’ purported miscarriage. Tyson went on to father eight children; D’Amato, Mikey Lorna, Miguel, Morocco, Exodus, Milan, Amir, and Rayna- although sources are conflicted over who all of their mothers are. Tragically, his then-four-year-old daughter Exodus died after a tragic accident involving the cord from a treadmill at her mother’s house.

Throughout Tyson’s time in the spotlight, he’s had a successful career in boxing that ended in scandal, served three years in prison over rape charges, had substance abuse issues, and filed for bankruptcy. In interviews regarding the birth of his eighth child in 2011, Tyson told the Daily Mail that he didn’t deserve his wife (Lakiha) or his children, but that everyone was healthy and happy.

8 Steven Spielberg - Grand Total Of Seven

Steven Spielberg had his first child in in the 80’s with former wife Amy Irving, which resulted in reportedly the most costly divorce ever as the couple agreed to live near each other to facilitate co-parenting. Spielberg is now married to actress Kate Capshaw with a total of seven kids between them as a result of previous relationships, adoption, and their own marriage.

Although the oldest is Capshaw’s daughter from her previous marriage, Spielberg took her on as his own, too. Max, Theo, Sasha, Sawyer, Mikaela, and Destry were born between 1985 and 1996. Prior to marrying Spielberg, Capshaw adopted son Theo, who was also adopted by Spielberg later on. The couple also adopted daughter Mikaela, while the remaining children are their biological offspring, according to the Wikipedia page about the actor.

7 Rod Stewart - Legally Only A Father To Seven Kids

Music legend Rod Stewart is in his seventies, but that hasn’t seemed to slow him down. The youngest of five kids, Stewart’s no stranger to big families. He actually fathered his first child when he was seventeen, and he and the mother put the baby up for adoption, according to The Sun. Then came three marriages and seven more children with four different women.

Kids Kimberley and Sean resulted from his five-year marriage to Alana Hamilton. Then Renee and Liam came from Stewart’s second marriage to Rachel Hunter, which lasted from 1990 until 2006. Following that marriage, baby Ruby was born to mom Kelly Emberg out of wedlock. In 2007, Stewart married model Penny Lancaster and the two have had two boys, Alastair and Aiden. Although it’s possible Stewart could have more kids, we think eight is probably enough!

6 Mel Gibson - Nine Kids And A Defence Lawyer

While his marriage to first wife spanned 31 years and produced seven kids, Mel Gibson wasn’t finished yet! After Hannah, Christian & Edward (twins), William, Louis, Milo, and Thomas with Robyn Moore, the couple divorced just after Thomas’ tenth birthday. Gibson went on to have a daughter, Lucia, with Oksana Grigorieva, whom he fought for custody amid allegations that he was abusive to his former girlfriend, SheKnows reported.

Most recently, Gibson hooked up with Rosalind Ross, a woman who is younger than his five oldest kids. Their son Lars was born in early 2017, about two years into his parents’ relationship. Gibson has defended his relationship to the media, and sources close to the couple say they’re very happy together and that the age difference doesn’t matter at all. We hope Gibson’s adult children feel the same way!

4 Bob Marley - A Rumoured Grand Total Of Thirteen

Bob Marley is rumored to have at least thirteen children. However, his official website lists eleven, two of whom were reportedly not biologically related to Marley. The oldest child was Sharon, born in 1964, and was the daughter of Marley’s wife Rita from a previous relationship. The couple then had Cedella, David “Ziggy”, and Stephen between 1968 and 1972. Also in 1972 were Robert “Robbie”, born to Pat Williams, and Rohan, born to Janet Hunt.

In 1973 Marley fathered daughter Karen with Janet Bowen, and in 1974 he claimed Stephanie, a daughter born to Rita but reportedly fathered by another man. In 1975 came Julian to a woman named Lucy Pounder, then Ky-Mani to a woman named Anita Belnavis in 1976. Finally, the official site lists Damian, born in 1978 to a woman named Cindy Breakspere. Two other children, Makeda in 1981 and Imani in 1963, remain unconfirmed.

He didn’t have any kids with his first wife Sonji Roi, but with second wife Belinda Boyd AKA Khalilah, he had four kids: Maryum, twins Jamilla and Rasheda, and Muhammad Ali, Jr. In the midst of his marriage to Boyd, Ali had an affair with Veronica Porsche, who he later married. The pair had two daughters- Hana and Laila, the latter going on to achieve fame of her own.

Following his marriage to Porsche, Ali married Lonnie, with whom he adopted one child- a son named Assad. In between those marriages and relationships, Ali also had two confirmed daughters with two other women. Khaliah and Miya were both born to different women in the midst of Ali’s marriages, and a girl named Kiiursti claims she has proof Ali was her dad.

2 Charlie Chaplin - Could Be More Than Eleven

Over the course of his eighty-eight years, Charlie Chaplin was married four times and fathered at least eleven children. According to the Charlie Chaplin website, Chaplin was married to Mildred Harris in 1901, but the pair’s first child only lived for three days. Chaplin’s second wife, Lita Grey, bore two children- Charles Jr. and Sydney Earl, but they divorced after three years.

The third marriage of the famed silent film actor ended without the couple having any children. Then, in 1943, 53-year-old Chaplin married 18-year-old Oona and the two had eight children together; Geraldine, Michael, Josephine, Victoria, Eugene, Jane, Annette, and Christopher. Oona even stuck by her husband as he was exiled from the US in 1952- the pair moved to Switzerland, where they remained until Chaplin’s death in 1977.

1 Jim Bob Duggar - Nineteen And Counting

You could argue that Jim Bob Duggar isn’t a celebrity with lots of kids, rather, he’s a celebrity because he’s had a lot of kids. The devoutly religious Duggars are part of a religion that suggests parents have as many children as they are biologically able to. To that end, the Duggars have been wildly successful, birthing nineteen children that include two sets of twins.

With nine girls and ten boys, the enormous family had to build a custom home (which they were able to thanks to real estate investments and their income from the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting) to house their brood. It seems parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are likely done having children, since the birth of their youngest, Josie, was riddled with health issues for both mom and baby. Plus, the Duggars are grandparents now, so we’ll be relieved if they’re 19 and done.
