Hollywood can be a fickle place. Friendships come and go, but there are those tried and true relationships that seem to stand the test of time. These glamorous besties makes us all jealous with their red carpet love fests. They brag about hanging out on social media and gush about each other during interviews. According to E!News, Gwyneth and her then husband, Chris Martin, met Bey and Jay-Z at a benefit in New York City. She spoke about how they struck up a friendship while she was on The Ellen Show. "We just kind of hooked up and became really close," she told Ellen. "And they're incredible people. They're very, very kind, generous, good good people."

Gwyneth is the only one declaring their love, either. Bey told Harper's Bazaar of Gwyneth: "She pushes her boundaries all the time. You go to her house and she makes you feel like you never want to go home. She is what I strive to be one day."

They’ve been fixtures at each other’s prospective concerts, often cheering and dancing in the first row. The couples have been known to travel the globe together, going on double date vacations. Yet, it was something that Jennifer said that gives us insight into how their friendship formed.

"We don't work with a lot of women on our films," Jennifer explained "And I haven't worked much at all lately, to tell you the truth. The two weeks I worked on this movie were the only two weeks I've worked in about a year-and-a-half because of being pregnant and now having a 1-year-old. But when I do work, it's always one woman and a bunch of men in my casts — maybe my character has a friend in the script, but not always. It's odd. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester met on the set of Gossip Girl. They played frenemies Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen on-screen and it seems like the girls really didn’t get along off-screen, either. There have been several reports that the ladies had no interest in being friends once the cameras stopped rolling.

According to Perez Hilton, an insider confirmed that the rumors were true. “After something of a thaw in their relationship during the final two seasons of Gossip Girl, Leighton and Blake don’t speak anymore.” The insider spilled.I think it’s simply a matter of both of them being happy not to have to spend 18 hours a day with each other, but the friendship they struggled to build at the end of Gossip Girl has evaporated and they continue to stay as far away from each other as possible."

Although, another insider from the set spoke with Vanity Fair and dished that Blake and Leighton were able to keep things professional. “Blake and Leighton were not friends,” executive produced Joshua Safran told the publication. “They were friendly, but they were not friends like Serena and Blair. Yet the second they'd be on set together, it's as if they were.”

17 BFFL: Eva Longoria & Victoria Beckham

Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham met because Eva was married to basketball player, Tony Parker, who was good friends with Victoria’s husband, David Beckham. The two girls grew up in Hollywood and according to InStyle, became extremely close while attending high school together at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles. Thy later went on to co-star in the film Dr T and The Women, where they smooched during an on-screen kiss.

The besties have been known to share cute snaps together on social media and posted the sweetest Instagram pic. The ladies gave us a peek into their friendship while they were spending some time together in New York City.

Kate posted the snap first, which was of a selfie of the two of them wearing glam sunglasses. "Got to catch up with this beauty in the city #MissAndLoveMeSomeLiv @misslivalittle," Kate captioned the pic along with a kiss emoji and a Statue of Liberty emoji. It seemed like a match made in Hollywood. Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham were totally inseparable for a while there. The two met when the Beckhams moved to Los Angeles and at the time, Katie was still married to Tom Cruise. The couples totally hit it off and were often photographed together. Katie and Victoria had plenty in common and often bonded over fashion.

Yet, as the time went on, the friends eventually grew apart and it became well-known that a feud was brewing between the ladies. Rumors swirled that the fact the Katie and Tom belonged to the Church of Scientology and the Beckhams did not had caused the rift.

An insider confirmed the news to the Daily Mail. "Katie and Tom want to surround themselves with fellow Scientologists these days, and they are distancing themselves from anyone who is not a believer.” The insider continued,

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara met while filming the comedy Hot Pursuit. While I can’t say that the movie was any good or not, I can say that they did an amazing job trying to sell it to us. It’s obvious from the press tour that they went on together for the film, these two zany ladies love each other. They went on a whirlwind social media romance and declared their admiration for each other time and time again. Tabloids love to speculate about the relationship between Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. The media goes out of it’s way to report on all the times that Bey shaded Kimmy and we kind of wonder if these two really are rivals in real life. After all, their friendship was only formed because of the husbands, Jay-Z and Kanye. Ever since they were first spotted together, it’s been reported that things are often strained between them.

It seems like Beyonce just can’t stand Kim. The Mirror reported that a family insider told Page Six the real deal."She is always a little icy to Kim.” They said. “The last time they hung out, the minute Beyoncé could leave the conversation, she did. They always have lots of awkward pauses."

Fans really took notice of the rift when Kanye and Kim invited the Carters to their wedding and they were a “no show”. Kanye has even asked Jay-Z to be his best man was turned down. According to another insider, Jay-Z really doesn’t want anything to do with Yeezy, either. “The reality is that Jay doesn’t want that much to do with him.” The source dished. “He likes his own space and is private. 11 BFFL: Sienna Miller & Kiera Knightley

Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley became fast friends when they were paired in The Edge of Love together in 2009. The two got along famously and are now lifelong best friends. They reportedly lived together during the shoot and created a tight bond. "We talk about books and we play cards and do The Guardian crossword." Cameron stepped up and was there for Drew when she went through her divorce from Will Kopeland. Busy Phillips and Michelle Williams are total best friend goals. The two met in 2001 on the set of the the WB’s teen drama, Dawson’s Creek. The had an instant connection and have been supporting each other ever since. Busy is Godmother to Michelle’s daughter, Matilda. The two became a fixture on the red carpet when Michelle took two dates, Busy and Heath Ledger to the Oscars in 2006 when she was nominated as best actress in Brokeback Mountain.

Busy also rushed to Michelle’s side after Heath Ledger died. Their friendship is the real deal and they aren’t afraid to gush about each other. “I’m so in love with her,” Michelle told People about her feelings for Busy. “She’s proof that the love of your life does not have to be a man! This would be the beginning of a hilarious friendship, both personally and professionally.

They stared in Saturday Night Live together, co-hosted three Golden Globes, and made two films together. The world has been laughing along with these two for a long time. Each of them have even written their own books and only had lovely things to say about each other.

They seemed like the best of friends until Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt. Then it all went downhill.

Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor that there was an explicit tape of Lauren floating around and it pretty much ended Lauren and Heidi’s friendship. Evey now and again, Hollywood actresses get lucky and meet their new best friend on the set. That was the case with Emily Blunt and Amy Adams. It all began when they both were cast in the Tom Hank’s movie Charlie Wilson’s War. Emily played Tom Hanks’ lover and Amy played his Congressional aide. The ladies hit it off and would work again later in the oddball film, Sunshine Cleaning. They have a great chemistry on-screen and it translated into the real world as well.

“We have a weird inner dialogue that we sort of know what the other one’s thinking,” Emily told MTV News. “It was like I’d known her forever. She still very much feels like my sister.” She’s not the only one gushing about their friendship, either.
