We love celebrity moms for a variety of reasons.  Some of them are honest about the struggles of being parents.  They have social media accounts that let us view their charmed lives.  They also throw shade at anyone who insults their way of doing things, and it's entertaining to watch.

Celebrity moms give us a first row seat to the celebrity mom crazy, and it's a nice distraction from changing diapers, dealing with tantrums, and wondering when we will ever sleep again.  Some of the biggest tantrums we see come from the moms themselves, though there are times when these moms have every right to talk back to those who are trying to undermine them or start a fight.

Being a celebrity mom comes with plenty of advantages, such as lots of money, helpful nannies, and tons of opportunities to expose kids to countries around the world.  However, it's not all good news.  Living in the spotlight also means everyone can watch mom's personal life play out in public, and when she even throws just a bit of shade at someone, everyone knows and is talking about it.

That's why some moms wants though.  When crossed or when trying to get their point across, they want to make a public declaration that will set the other person straight.  The women on this list throw the best shade, either at individuals or society as a whole, and we both love and hate them for it.

15 Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is a polarizing figure in the world of motherhood.  She makes recommendations that are completely out of most women's financial capabilities, and she offers parenting advice that rubs many the wrong way.  The entire population has felt like Paltrow was throwing shade at them at one point or another.

For example, Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin didn't divorce, they consciously uncoupled.  Yep, that's divorcing with a fancy name, but it means being conscious of putting the kids first and not letting the divorce devolve into pettiness.

Many parents who have successfully divorced and co-parented for years were shocked to hear that Paltrow thought she had the market cornered on this.

She also throws shade at those lazy moms who just can't find time to work out, saying it can be done anywhere if it's important to mom.  I mean, she makes time to do it, so we all can, right?

14 Chrissy Teigen

Teigen is the ultimate shade thrower, and we love to watch it happen.  Those who follow Teigen on Twitter have a wonderful view of her throwing shade at everyone from the President of the United States to her own husband.  She also doesn't tolerate anyone coming after, so look out.

When the entire world got upset because she and Legend when out on a date shortly after daughter Luna was born, she wasn't having it.  After greeting everyone and acknowledging that she had upset the whole world with her dinner plans, she pretended not to know where baby Luna was when asked.

She also doesn't put up with everyone telling her how to hold her child or making assumptions about her sex life.  When a cruel woman tweeted Teigen to ask why she used fertility treatment instead of conceiving the old-fashioned way, she set her straight without blinking.

13 Gisele Bundchen

Gisele Bundchen likely doesn't really care if other moms like her.  If she did, she wouldn't spend her time throwing shade at every parent who gives their kids dessert, every mom who can't or doesn't want to breast feed, and every mom who didn't have an unmedicated birth.  She's also apparently not fond of single moms, and if anyone gains too much weight while pregnant, they apparently did it by being a human garbage disposal.  She, of course, worked out until the end and was very conscious of what she ate.

Oh, where to start!  Bundchen shares her nuggets of parenting judgment freely in interviews, going as far as to say that there should be a law requiring women to breastfeed.  She has stated that it's important to find the right man before having children, which is great, but her husband, Tom Brady, decided not to be the right man for ex Bridget Moynahan, and that's not really Moynahan's fault.  Moynahan and Brady still have a child together, though he was born while Brady was already with Bundchen. That doesn't keep Bundchen from throwing loads of shade.

12 Kristin Cavallari

Cavallari dared to post a picture of her boys playing with their dad at the beach, and all hell broke loose.  Instead of being called out for letting her kids gain too much weight, she was hit with insults because people thought her sons were too small.  The comments were brutal and insulted Cavallari, implying she was a horrible person who starved her kids.

Cavallari shot back by blocking tons of followers and making it clear that she wasn't having it.  She's had practice at throwing shade for years, and she made a career out of doing it on the reality TV show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.  Cavallari had no problems calling out people on camera who she didn't care for, so anyone who attacks her should know from her days on television that she doesn't tolerate it.

Cavallari has also been rumored to throw shade at Kim Kardashian.

11 Kate Beckinsale

Don't tell Kate Beckinsale how to parent.  When someone decided to criticize her for going out instead of staying home to parent her 18 year-old daughter, she let them know that wasn't going to fly.  An 18 year-old is an adult, and no one should assume that just because they see a start out and about that she never spends time with her kids.

Beckinsale also reminded this ignorant soul that moms can have lives outside of their kids, and they can also vote!  Beckinsale addressed the unfair view most people have of parenting, that dads get to keep their social lives in tact and women have to give up everything or be called bad mothers.

Beckinsale also threw a bit of shade at ex and father of her daughter, Michael Sheen, when she admitted that she was embarrassed that he never proposed, even after she got pregnant.  We don't understand it either, Kate.

10 Tess Holliday

Want to talk about Tess Holliday's body?  Don't do it.  Unless praising her for her body positive message that helps other women feel comfortable in their skin, take a pass.  She does not let fat shamers go without setting them straight.

Holliday dealt with endless insults while pregnant.  Even strangers approached her to insult her size and tell her she was irresponsible for being overweight while pregnant.  She released a bold picture and message through her social media account letting women know that it's okay to be overweight, and it's okay to not worry about how to lose the baby weight.  She doesn't spend her time obsessing about those things, and she gives other women permission not to.

Fat shamers deserve all the shade they receive, and Holliday continues to deliver.  She continues sharing her body positive messages while letting the haters know she is aware of their comments, and she just does not have time for it.

9 Beyonce

If past pictures and videos are any indicator, Beyonce has been throwing shade her entire life.  She hasn't risen to the top of her game without putting others in their place, and she even released an album throwing shade at her husband, Jay Z.  Of course, he did cheat, so he had it coming and then some.

Beyonce has cropped former band mates out of pictures, and it's rumored that there was a point in time when she wouldn't even speak to Kim Kardashian.  Forced to be around her because of Kardashian's relationship with Kanye, Bey didn't even bother to pretend to like it.

She also doesn't tolerate sexual harassment in any form, and when a fan reached up onstage and grabbed her butt, she threatened to have him thrown out.  It was a great example of a woman not tolerating some idiot's stupidity and assumed possession of her body.

8 Megan Fox

Whose the father of Megan Fox's latest child?  Well, those who talked trash about her found out what her response to that was.  Fox threw major shade at haters who assumed she either didn't know who the father of her child was or that it wasn't her husband, Brian Austin Green.

In response she posted three pictures of her with different famous men, making it clear that they were not the fathers and leaving the haters to figure it out for themselves.

She also threw shade at co-star Will Arnett for bringing young girlfriends to the set on a movie they worked on together.  She called him out publicly in a joking way, but it was also done in a way that should make Arnett feel a bit bad for the ages of the girls he was dating.

Though Fox is mainly known for her looks, she is witty and quick, making her great at throwing shade.

7 Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis doesn't have time for people who don't understand that women have the right to breastfeed anywhere they want.  That's why she gave helpful advice and shaded the haters all at the same time through her social media account.

Kunis is an outspoken breastfeeding advocate, and she sees nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public.  For those that do take issue with it, she has great advice: don't look.  That's right, feel free to not stare at a woman's breasts when she is using them to feed her child and is in no way trying to draw attention to them.  Don't be the person looking for a reason to complain who would rather blame a mom for feeding her kid than themselves for being so fascinated/disgusted by it.

Celebrities like Kunis are helping moms everywhere feel empowered when nursing in public.  Plus, they are doing it by shading haters, which makes it even better.

6 Reese Witherspoon

Reese is known for her Southern charm and kindness, as well as her business savvy.  However, she let everyone know at the MTV awards a few years back that she is also opinionated and not afraid to throw shade if she feels like someone deserves it.

Witherspoon spoke about not needing to be on reality TV or make a sex tape to be famous.  She encouraged young girls to understand that being a good girl doesn't mean not being successful, and that certain behaviors shouldn't be admired. If everyone hadn't figure out she was talking about Kim Kardashian by then, she went on to say that in her day, sex tapes earned people shame and hiding, not celebrity treatment.

We're not sure what made Witherspoon feel the need to get all of that off her chest, but we're guessing that Kim K probably didn't love it.

5 Olivia Wilde

Don't want to give up a seat for Olivia Wilde on the subway when she is very pregnant?  Expect to receive some major shade via social media.

Wilde let able-bodied passengers know that she was okay with them not offering her a seat even though she was obviously huge and uncomfortable.  Instead, she would just get in their personal space and hope to go into labor.

She also called attention to an ad for a breast pump bra that featured a thin model who had not recently given birth.  Wilde said the ad was unreal, and though she owned the bra and really liked it, she didn't like the company promoting an unrealistic image for women who just had babies.

Wilde is hilarious when calling others out, and many of the people she targets are the ones who don't consider women when acting or promoting products.

4 Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is both the target of a lot of shade, receiving it from at least two people on this list, and the thrower of shade.  She has thrown shade at her ex-step-dad, Caitlyn Jenner, for writing about the Kardashian family in his book, as well as Taylor Swift.

The rift with Swift has been ongoing, with Kardashian continuing to find new ways to reveal what she believes is Swift's true character.  She's also thrown shade at everyone who questions her decision to continue posing nude despite being a mother.  She doesn't feel she should have to give up her sexual side just because she is a mother, and while many agree with her, most people also find her constant desire to oil her body up and take a selfie puzzling.

She's also been accused of shading a beauty blogger her gave her line of products a critical review, though Kardashian denies it.

3 Busy Philipps

Busy Philipps has lived in the spotlight her entire life, and she has no problem throwing shade at those who need it.  When Gwyneth Paltrow confessed that she only shoots one movie a year in order to make things easier for her family, Philipps thought that would be a good opportunity to set the record straight.

She addressed Paltrow's comment, the one that implied that women who have to or choose to work are making life hard on their families, by saying that's fine if it works for Paltrow.  However, Philipps added that by having nannies help and working on a television show that gives her plenty of time off with her kids, she wasn't making anything difficult for her family.

Philipps likely felt shaded by Paltrow, as did many working moms who don't have the luxury of choosing when to work, and decided to use an interview to throw some shade her way.

2 Mayim Bialik

A great way to throw shade at someone is to have no clue who they are and still move forward with throwing shade at them anyway.  That's exactly what Mayim Bialik did when she insulted Ariana Grande's decision to pose in lingerie to promote her career, while fully admitting that she had no idea who Grande was.

Bialik is outspoken about how wrong it is for women to be objectified, as well as what a bad idea it is for women to participate in their own objectification.  She also threw shade at an interviewer on the red carpet who assumed it was hard for her to understand her character's lines from The Big Bang Theory.  Assuming Bialik wouldn't understand because her character is a scientist, Bialik set him straight by letting him know she has a degree in neuroscience.

Bialik has also thrown shade at POTUS and anyone else she is not impressed by.

1 Sarah Michelle Gellar

Sarah Michelle Gellar made her career playing girls who had no problem throwing shade, just like her character on Cruel Intentions.  That's why it came as no surprise when she let the world know how she felt about the cover of Vogue featuring Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Gellar tweeted that she thought she would be cancelling her Vogue subscription, and she encouraged others to do the same.  Due to Kardashian's fame that came from infamy more than talent, Gellar likely didn't feel she warranted a place on the cover of Vogue.

Gellar has also been known to throw shade for fun in rap videos where she dresses as Cinderella and shreds other princesses.  We know it sounds weird, but the videos are hilarious and place Gellar at the top of the game when it comes to knowing how to throw shade.
