When it comes to the birth of a baby, there are a lot of options on the table. Some women choose to give birth naturally, while others opt to have an epidural to numb the pain. Some women want to have their babies at a hospital, surrounded by doctors, in case of an emergency. And, of course, there are others who prefer to have a home birth, where they can deliver their babies in the comforts of their own home, privately or surrounded by loved ones.

Sometimes, things don’t go as planned. The baby chooses when he will be ready to be born into this world. He can come earlier, or he can be past-due. Complications can arise that force a mother to have her child earlier or by a different method. For example, the baby is in distress and it is in the best interest of the child, and the mother, to deliver the baby out as soon as possible. A lot of twins births are born earlier also, due to mom's womb space and how the babies are growing.

Some mothers choose to have their babies earlier also. They may want to avoid the side effects of having a natural birth, such as tearing. Other reasons mothers may choose to opt for a C-Section is they may want to have the baby come out sooner due to current or future events. In the celeb world, this is common practice for a lot of expecting celeb mothers to schedule a C-Section, because they have upcoming shows and events, and need to be recovered and performing right away.

Here are 15 celebrities who chose to have a C-section or had medical complications which lead them to the surgical room.
