Kylie Jenner has so far surprised many of her fans, along with most of the entertainment world. It was not too long ago that she was the fresh-faced, freckled little sister of the Kardashians who just wanted a few moments of her own in front of the reality television cameras and of course, the spotlight.

But then her transformation happened right in front of our very own eyes. Kylie wasn’t the little girl that we all watched grow up on our television screens. She soon became a woman, an Instagram star, a businesswoman, and a multi-millionaire all on her own. As a matter of fact, many people would even agree that Kylie Jenner has surpassed her sister Kim Kardashian as the most popular, if not the successful member of their family. And just to think, she’s only getting started.

Kylie recently gave birth to her first baby daughter, Stormi Webster. And while there’s no doubt that she’s in love with her baby and her new life as a mom, some people think that she’s not in a hurry to make the next step in her life. In other words, she hasn’t made any indication that she’s looking to marry her baby daddy, Travis Scott. Here’s why.

15 She’s Too Independent

Kylie Jenner has gotten used to doing things her way, regardless of what anyone has to say about it. After all, do you know many people who are already multi-millionaires by their 18thbirthday? We didn’t think so either. That’s one of the reasons why she might not be willing to compromise or cooperate with another party, especially when it comes to marriage.

She’s a self-made millionaire and business-woman and more importantly, in a league of her own. She’s got too much going on for herself in her life right now.

And most importantly, she needs to protect her assets. The future Mr. Kylie Jenner can’t and shouldn’t get his hands on her wealth, regardless of who he may be.

In other words, Kylie is just too independent. Say what you will about Kris Jenner and the rest of the Kardashians, but someone must have done something right while raising her. Kylie once told Evening Standard Magazine, “I do think about if I didn’t have to be famous. And it’s like a fantasy sometimes, but there’s really not one problem I have. You figure out how to deal with it. I’ve been famous for what feels like my whole life. I just want to know what it feels like not to be.”

14 She’s Worth Much More

This is going to blow your mind, but believe it or not, Kylie Jenner is worth an estimated $50 million dollars. And just to think, she’s only getting started, too! She has fast become one of the highest earning celebrities in the entertainment world. But don’t think it’s because of her participation in ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ or her reality television work. The bulk of her wealth comes from her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics. In other words, Kylie is rich mostly because everyone wants to look like her.

According to People Magazine, Kylie once had this to say on her reality show, Life of Kylie, “There’s an image that I feel constantly pressured to keep up with. In order to stay relevant for the public, I have to be on Instagram and I have to be on Snapchat just keeping people entertained. And then there’s who I really am around my friends. … It’s way easier for me to post on Snapchat or Instagram than it is to be out in public. I just feel like for so long I’ve been putting on this different persona to the world — I felt like I started to depend on social media, feeling the need to post all the time. I feel like I have to keep up this idea of who I am.”

13 She Doesn’t Want To Make The Same Mistakes As Her Sisters

If there is one reason why Kylie Jenner might not be interested in marrying Travis Scott, it’s simply because she doesn’t want to make the same mistakes that her sisters have made in the past. After all, we all know how Kim Kardashian’s first two marriages went. Kourtney Kardashian had a very rocky relationship with her beau, Scott Disick. And we won’t even mention the mess of a marriage that was between Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner or Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom.

Kylie has seen all of the drama down that’s why she’s not making any rushed decisions about walking down the aisle.

Apparently, her sister Kim K feels the same way. She’s made more than her fair share of mistakes, and she’s finally learning how to love and accept those around her for who they are. According to People Magazine, Kim once had this to say: “At the end of the day, life is about being happy being who you are, and I feel like we are so blessed to have the support system and the best family to really just support each other no matter what we're going through. Maybe my fairy tale has a different ending than I dreamed it would. But that's OK.”

12 She Likes Being On Her Own

Kylie Jenner is her own woman. She’s managed to surprise everyone by marching to the sound of her own drum beat. At first, a lot of people thought that perhaps she was trying to walk in her sister Kim Kardashian’s footsteps. Or that perhaps it was her mother Kris Jenner that was trying to steer her in a certain direction. But that wasn’t the case at all. Kylie came up with her own ideas, managed to get good people around her, and is now the self-made millionaire that she is today. Sure, being part of the Kardashian family has definitely helped make her the household name she is, but you’ve got to give credit where credit is due. Give it a few years and she will end up being much wealthier than her sister Kim.

But at the same time, Kylie doesn’t appreciate all of the scrutinies she has gotten over the years. She said this on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, “We have all eyes on us, all the time, so especially for me, at my age, trying to find myself – it’s hard to not let it affect you. Having older sisters with some of the same insecurities as me helps me a lot, and makes me feel like it’s okay.”

11 She’s Too Young To Marry

A lot of people will say the same thing: Kylie Jenner has been moving way too fast in her life. She’s not even 21 years old, yet she’s already purchased multi-million dollar properties, has millions of fans following her on social media every single day and best of all, she’s a mother. She’s a young single mother, but she’s handling it on her own.

With everything she’s done so far, we wouldn’t be surprised if she felt exhausted. It’s no wonder that marriage is on the back burner for now.

Also, Kylie has made it no secret that she regrets missing out so much on her childhood. According to People Magazine, she said this on her show, Life of Kylie, “I started filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians when I was 9 years old. I really don’t know what it’s like to not have everyone know who I am. I don’t know what it’s like to live a normal life, where people just don’t know who you are, to get out of the car and not have everyone stare at you. I feel like when you grow up on camera, people think that they know you because you’re on social media so much and you’re on reality TV.”

10 She And Travis Barely Know Each Other

Let’s face it: Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott really don’t know much about each other, realistically speaking. She was with her ex Tyga for three years before she met Travis. Even though they were on and off, Tyga was in Kylie’s life for the majority of the time they were together. But with Travis, Kylie moved exceptionally fast. A lot of people even believe that it only took Kylie a few short weeks before she fell pregnant with Travis’ baby. Talk about a fast-paced romance and delivery, right? These two still need to take the time to get to know one another. There’s no need to rush putting a ring on anyone’s finger.

Kylie has made it no secret that the spotlight stresses her out and big time, too. She once said on Life of Kylie, “I feel like this fame thing is going to come to an end sooner than we think. I’m getting the bug again, where I just want to run away. I just don’t know who I’m doing it for. … The new goal in my life is to just live. I live the most extraordinary life, and I’m very grateful. But the moments I feel completely normal and just a 19-year-old girl, it’s the best.”

9 Their Relationship Might Not Last

Now, we don’t know what kind of relationship Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have behind closed doors. What we do know is that the Kardashians have seen plenty of ups and downs in their love lives. And being in the public spotlight sure doesn’t help things at home, either. A lot of critics believe that Kylie and Travis’ relationship might not even last very long. After all, Kylie enjoys doing her own thing. Plus, Travis Scott has his hot music career going on right now. No one might be willing to settle down, let go of certain aspects of their career, or even compromise to make things work between them.

Some critics say the would be surprised to see these two last until the end of this year.

According to People Magazine, Kylie once said, “I for sure didn’t choose this life, but I’m not going to say that I’m totally innocent, because I am keeping up this lifestyle. I know I’m making myself more famous by having an Instagram and posting photos, but I’m not that type of person where I want all the attention. I don’t like that. It actually freaks me out, because it reminds me that I’m ‘Kylie f—ing Jenner.’”

8 Is Tyga Still On Her Mind?

While no one wants to say this out loud, we will go ahead and say it: we were shocked to find out that Kylie Jenner was pregnant. We were even more shocked to find out that Kylie Jenner was pregnant with Travis Scott’s baby. It seemed like it only took one hot minute for Kylie to move on from Travis after her break up with Tyga. With that being said, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder if Tyga might still be on Kyle’s mind. After all, she was madly in love with him, and she wasn’t afraid to show her true feelings about the rapper to the world, either. She even starred in one of his music videos. These two were literally joined to the hip.

Kylie and Tyga were on-again, off-again for nearly three years. According to This is Insider, Kylie has this to say about Tyga: “There was absolutely nothing wrong with me and T. There was no crazy fight. We decided — well, I decided — that I'm really young," she said. "I don't want to look back in five years from now and feel like he took something from me, when he's really not that type of person."

7 She Doesn’t Want to Ruin Her Image

The moment Kylie Jenner marries Travis Scott, she is going to be a different person. Everyone knows that. As a married woman in the public spotlight, there are certain things she won’t be able to do anymore. Now, that’s not to say that she’ll have her limitations, but certain things should be kept well hidden behind closed doors, right? All of the seductive, pouty Instagram selfies are great for a single gal like Kylie, but not so much once you're married. And for Kylie, this might be a problem.

It’s without a doubt that she doesn’t want a marriage to ruin her current public image.

Kylie also feels as though she’s lost a little bit of herself because of her fame. According to Entertainment Online, she has said, “I think I lost a lot of parts of myself. My funny side — when I was 14 I used to post all these funny videos all the time, just me being like, super weird and funny and myself. I feel like once I started getting a little bit bigger, then people really started to … everyone says mean things sometimes, it’s just how social media is — it’s a really mean, negative space.”

6 She Also Doesn’t Want To Rock Her Fan Base

This might be debatable, but Kylie Jenner has worked so hard to get where she is in her life right now. The last thing she wants to do is rock her own fan base. After all, many of the young girls who look up to her are still in middle and high school. Being a married woman might set everything off. A lot of her fans might feel like they will no longer have much in common with her. And that’s the last thing Kylie wants to see.

Kylie also wishes that she could embrace fame the same way as her sisters have. According to People, she explained it like this: “Kim [Kardashian West] always said this is like, what she’s made for. I respect that, but it’s hard to do normal things when every single person knows who you are. … I see Kendall [Jenner] and Bella [Hadid] and Hailey [Baldwin], and they’re just out here, like every day. They just put their outfits together and they’re made for this — which isn’t a bad thing. They look so good every day. Sometimes I wish I could do what they do. But that’s not me. I don’t want my picture taken. I don’t want people to see what outfit I’m wearing. Every time there’s paparazzi, I cover my face.”

5 She’s More Focused On Her Career

Right now, Kylie Jenner knows that her livelihood depends on her celebrity image and public persona. Because let’s face it: she’s not a singer, she’s not an actress, and she’s really not a television personality. Yes, she’s a reality television star, but it’s not like she had much of a choice or a say in it. With that being said though, it does look like Kylie is very focused on her career right now. She has a massively successful makeup line and she wants to continue expanding her Kylie Jenner empire.

Getting married will not only consume her time, but it will also weigh her down.

According to This is Insider, Kylie once said, "The hardest part about having a relationship for me is just that it's blasted all over the internet, you have to hear about other people's opinions on who you're with. It's a lot. Most of the time it's just not true, like you have no idea what I'm like in a relationship, what the kind of bond I have with somebody else [is like]. You cannot win with the internet. There's no winning. It's just unnecessary negativity. I feel like I'm in a relationship with the world sometimes."

4 Kris Jenner Might Not Allow It

Then, there’s this: Kylie’s mom Kris Jenner might not even allow for her to get married to Travis Scott. Even if he does end up proposing, it’s Kris who has the last call on everything. After all, she’s the queen bee, the head of the Kardashian monarchy, and the person that everyone goes to during times of trouble and when they are in need of help. And if there is one person who has enough power to stop a wedding from happening, it’s Kris. She knows what she needs to protect, too. Her empire means the world to her.

She’s not going to allow someone like Travis Scott or any other guy her daughters come across to destroy everything she’s built. At least not during this lifetime.

According to Brainy Quotes, Kris once said, “I raised my kids kind of old-fashioned - if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it at all. I teach love, acceptance, and tolerance... I sometimes think that this generation is lacking in decency. I worry about my grandchildren because the Internet can be brutal. I'm strong enough and have a pretty thick skin, but when people go after my kids, I just hit block-delete, block-delete. It's my mantra.”

3 Her Sisters Might Not Approve

And while Kris Jenner is the one person who has the last say on anything that goes on in the Kardashian and Jenner household, there’s a good chance that the rest of the family might show some serious opposition to the marriage, too. After all, Kylie is the baby of the family. Everyone is used to watching out for her and making sure that her best interests are always met. If Kylie does indeed get married to Travis Scott, you better believe that her sisters will have something to say about it. They made it no secret that they were all shocked to find out that she was pregnant. With a wedding, they might have more time to hold it off to put some sense into Kylie’s head. That is, if things even escalate that far.

According to an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kylie’s sister Khloe once said, “I don't believe in revenge. When people are bullies it's because of a deeper-rooted issue - either their family life is tough or they're being bullied by someone bigger than they are. We're all human beings, and we all have the same problems. I do remember how blessed I am, and no matter how bad things are, they can always get worse.”

2 She Might Not Want To Get Married At All

Of course, we can sit here and talk about all the possibilities of what would happen if Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott were to get married. But truth be told, Kylie hasn’t shown any indications that she’s ready to become someone’s wife just yet. She knows that she has time on her hands. Plus, she already has everything that she needs to live a fulfilled life. She’s got her baby, her family, her friends, her career, lots of love, and of course, Travis Scott by her side. It doesn’t get any better than this. Plus, a wedding might not change her life all that much, anyhow.

If anything, it might just cause her more stress, from a financial standpoint, especially if she does end up getting divorced. Here’s hoping that won’t happen.

But at the same time, she did tell Elle UK, “I would love to have a family and build a home with a farm in Malibu Canyon and just have my kids and throw away my phone. Just really, like, live my life and not do this anymore. I really want to live on a farm and have chickens and raise animals and have a family.”

1 Travis Scott Might Not Be Good Enough

Unless you have been following him on social media or are a fan of his music, chances are you didn’t know who Travis Scott was this time last year. In fact, he only became a household name because of Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy. But, of course, we don’t know how much of the pregnancy was planned and how much Kylie wanted to become pregnant in the first place. For all we know, Travis might not even be around this time next year. The Kardashians might not think he’s good enough for their Kylie. Time will tell if these two will make it long term, though.

As we’ve all learned from the celebrity and entertainment world, anything can still happen at any time. Watch this space. There’s plenty more to come, that’s for sure.

According to E! Online, Travis Scott once said, “I'm just here for good times, man. I want people to have the best time ever. Especially if they're around me. I was born in Houston, Texas. I grew up in Houston, by Missouri City. It's, like, a suburb in the area; it's middle-class. But I used to stay with my grandma in the hood from ages one to six.”
