Newsflash:  I am not the world's greatest mother.  I don't love crafts, I hate playing My Little Pony and Barbie and if I have to watch one more episode of Pegga Pig I just might gouge my eyes out right here in the family room.  I raise my voice too much, let swear words fly and bicker with my hubs in the kitchen.  That being said I shower my children with love, praise, positivity and structure.  I have been at every school party, field trip, soccer game and choir concert that they have ever had.  I put their needs first and foremost because parenting is nothing if not constant sacrifice right?  I might not be getting an A plus on my parenting report card, but I am most definitely not getting an F.

These fifteen parents of celebrities will in fact be receiving a failing grade when it comes to parenting.  How on earth do you justify stealing your own child's earnings?  I'm not talking about three dollars to tip the pizza delivery guy or pay the Tooth Fairy with, we are talking thousands of dollars!  These fifteen filthy folks are really some of the lowest of the low when it comes to celebrities and their kin.

15 Ariel Winter's Ice Queen Mother

Actress Ariel Winters could unfortunately write a book all about family drama.  The Modern Family star and her mother Chrystal Workman have been in and out of family court for years throwing accusations of wrong doing back and forth at one another.  Ariel has accused her mother of body shaming, sexualizing her at a very young age,  and slapping and hitting her in strategic ways so not to leave marks.  Her mother fired back telling a judge that her daughter constructed the spiteful lies to get back at her and all of this was stemming from resentment over boyfriend drama.  (The rumor is mom caught Ariel in beds with her boyfriend when she was fourteen and he was eighteen and went ballistic.)  Aside from the abuse allegations, Mother Dearest also apparently stole from her own child cashing in Winter's residual checks stealing thousands of dollars from her famous daughter.

14 Aaron Carter's Broke Mother

Aaron Carter is the little brother to Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and a singer and entertainer in his own right.  Aaron started his rise to fame at only seven years of age performing and touring for nearly a nonstop decade.  The blonde crooner claims that he banked over two hundred million dollars before he turned eighteen years old, but when he turned of age that money was nowhere to be found.  While The Carter boys were out earning their dough, the rest of the Carter Family was living it up on a ten million dollar family compound.  Young Aaron had no clue that his parents were grossly mishandling his money.  In fact when the star turned eighteen years old he was only handed over two million dollars as opposed to the twenty million in earnings that he claims he is owed.  This was a giant problem for Aaron considering he found himself owing about four million dollars in tax liens.  Due to his parents inability to act like responsible adults Aaron had to file for bankruptcy.  Great birthday gift mom and dad.

13 Macaulay Culkin's Greedy Kin

I think poor Macaulay Culkin spent the majority of his younger years wishing that he had in fact been home alone.  As a youngster he endured a lengthy and vile custody battle between his parents and lived with a father who rightfully earned the reputation of a strict and mean stage father.  Papa, Kit Culkin, who had been a down and out struggling actor in New York, pushed his kids into show business and forced them to work whether they wanted to or not, robbing them of any childhood they might have enjoyed.  Finally at age fifteen Macaulay sued his parents and removed them from managing his seventeen million dollar trust account.  Of all the roles he landed, the role of emancipated child might have been his biggest and best move to date.

12 Lindsay Lohan's Fame Hungry Parents

I don't have a positive thing to say about these low life parents of Lindsay Lohans.  Michael and Dina Lohan have landed themselves on countless "Worst celebrity parents" lists and for good reason.  They are self centered, fame hungry, narcissistic adults who never took their role as parents very seriously.  Dina is known for partying with her daughter even when Lindsay was clearly struggling with addiction and Michael is basically scum who lives to capitalize on his daughter's fame.  A few years ago mother Dina decided that because she was strapped for cash and Lindsay stopped forking over tens of thousands of dollars to help her living-over-the-limits-mother, she would just start selling her kid's possessions  We aren't talking about a few shirts and an end table, we are talking big items and big bucks.  Lindsay had to go as far as calling the police to come over and put an end to her mad mother's skanky business dealings.  God I hate the Lohans.

11 Shirley Temple's Fortune Squandered

How in the hell do you wrong Shirley Temple?  She is the most lovable, curly-haired darling anyone has ever seen?  You can't steal from Shirley!  Somehow her vile parents were able to justify pilfering away their iconic child's fortune and still sleeping at night.  The singing, dancing, acting cutie-patootie retired from the limelight at the ripe old age of twenty-two and when she did she discovered that she only had forty-four thousand dollars left in her bank account!  Her parents had mismanaged her finances so badly that she was basically left with nothing.  It is estimated that Shirley had earned some three million dollars over the course of her extensive career and at the height of her heyday Ms. Temple was earning a massive ten grand a week.  Thanks a bunch mom and dad!

10 LeAnn Rimes Sings A Sad Tune of Parental Deceit

LeAnn sure must have been blue once she realized what a creep her own father turned out to be.  LeAnn Rimes shot to instant fame in the world of country singing in her teen years with hits like Blue and You Light Up My Life.  Her father, Wilbur Rimes, produced her recordings and acted as his young daughter's manager.  When LeAnn was seventeen years old and still a minor she sued her father and her other co-manager for cheating her out of roughly seven million dollars.  LeAnn testified that the two dirt bags stole from LeAnn Rimes Entertainment Inc. for their personal use.  The two remained estranged until LeAnn's first wedding where her father and her were able to patch up their rocky relationship and share the traditional father-daughter dance.

9 Dominique Moceanu Flips Over Her Parents Betrayal

I remember watching this little gymnastics phenomenon on television and wanting to be her so badly.  She was amazing, a star, every girl looked up to her.  After reading about what family drama she had to endure I take that all back.  I will take my nonathletic, talentless self and seemingly normal family over the Moceanu nuthouse any day. Dominique began her gymnastics career at the age of ten and eventually earned gold in the 1996 Olympic games.  Unfortunately though the golden days came to a screeching halt when she was seventeen years old and began to realize that her parents were not acting so "parently."  She filed for emancipation from her mom and dad after they apparently squandered one million dollars from her.  Her father, who never appeared to ave a job of his own adamantly claimed that he always acted in his child's best interest and never stole a penny from her.  Nevertheless the money was gone.  Looking at you deadbeat dad.

8 A Disney Star's Dirty Dad Steals His Fortune (Billy Unger)

Billy Unger is the star of Disney's hit television show Lab Rats.  While Billy was on set, working hard to earn his income, his father-manager-royal douche bag was stealing everything he could from Billy to "woo" a woman.  Now THAT is low and disgusting.  Billy's father reportedly mishandled over four hundred thousand dollars in earnings and used Billy's money to take his girlfriend on fancy vacations, pay her living expenses and heaven knows what else.  Aside from the highway robbery stunt that daddy was pulling, he also apparently took a 33% commission from Billy, which is miles above the industry standard of ten to twenty percent.  The third strike came when Billy's father took out a million dollar life insurance policy on his son and named himself the sole beneficiary.  Sleep with one eye open Billy.

7 Misha Barton's Money Loving Mother

Actress Mischa Barton's mother managed her acting career for twenty years, until Mischa started to speculate that her mother was up to no good and filed a lawsuit against her.  The O.C. actress claimed that her mom-a-ger lied about how much money she was netting from film and then pocketed the difference.  On top of that Mischa was reportedly booted from the eight million dollar home that she paid for herself by her mother.  (Both her mother and father have been living with her since 2009 due to Mischa being place on an involuntary psychiatric hold.)  The actress claims that her parents no longer work, but live in the mansion off of her earnings all the while still demanding the ten percent manager commission from her!  I know kids should be forever grateful to their parents and all, but this is kind of overkill right?

6 "What You Takin' 'Bout" My Money Is Gone? (Gary Coleman)

Gary Coleman is known for his role on the hit sitcom Diff'rent Strokes where he played silly and lovable Arnold Jackson.  He is also known for living a very troubled life full of grief and trouble with addiction and the law.  Coleman attempted suicide twice, struggled with addiction, had run ins with the law, and lived a life full of chronic illness and then endured some real family drama.  Coleman sued his own parents and a financial adviser in 1989 for mishandling his multimillion dollar fortune.  He was awarded 1.3 million dollars by the courts a few years later.  Unfortunately Gary and his parents remained completely estranged until the actor's untimely death in 2010.  At that point the family had not spoken in over twenty years and Gary completely left his parents out of his will.  I can understand why.

5 Leighton Meester Takes Mom To Court

You might say that actress Leighton Meester and her mama have had it kind of rough from the start in terms of relationships.  Leighton was born in prison where her mother Constance was serving time in Federal prison for drug trafficking!  That wasn't Constance's only misstep in parenting however.  Leighton sued her mother over misusing funds that she provided for her younger brother's medical care.  The gossip girl argued in court that she provided tens of thousands of dollars a month to her mother for her brother's care and that her mother used the money for plastic surgery and Botox!  Mom of the year right here guys.  Meester later won custody of her brother so that she could get him the help he needed without her wacky mother's selfish interference.

4 Amanda Bynes Goes Batty Over Parents Mismanagement

Amanda Bynes went from Disney darling to straight up mental patient in the blink of an eye.  The television superstar began exhibiting such startling and concerning behavior that she was eventually put on a psychiatric hold and doctors feared that she was spiraling into some serious drug and mental health problems.  After spending roughly 1.2 million dollars in a short span off time her parents petitioned the courts for control of her money.  Eventually the courts granted Mr. and Mrs. Bynes control of Amanda's assets, but then things turned ugly.  The couple left their daughter homeless stating that they could no longer deal with Amanda's many exhausting issues and she could not reside with them.  Furthermore they reportedly stopped giving Amanda any of her own money and instead gave her fifty dollar gift cards here and there to live off of.  Talk about some tough love.

3 Jena Malone's Own "Money" Hunger Games

You might recognize Jena Malone from any number of films including Stepmom, Bastard Out Of Carolina, Donnie Darko or The Hunger Games.  Malone has worked the entertainment scene since she was twelve years old and has enjoyed great success, but one area of her life that has not been so successful is her home life.  Jena's parents divorced when she was very young and her mother quickly found a new love.  Before the age of nine Jena, her mother and her mother's girlfriend had lived in twenty-seven different homes!  Talk about a lack of stability.  When Jena was fourteen years old she was granted emancipation from her mother due to her mom squandering her earnings.  Now that Jena is a mother herself the two two seem to be working towards a reconciliation of sorts.

2 Drew Barrymore's Mother Rides Her Daughter's Coattails

Drew Barrymore's childhood is one of the sadder stories in Hollywood.  She is the token poster child for why you should not push your child into the limelight at an early age.  Drew was put on the fast track to fame by her mother Jade, who loved the Hollywood scene far more than her little girl.  At nine years old Drew was at famed Studio 54 five days a week smoking cigarettes and drinking with her deranged mother and became a drug addict by the age of thirteen.  Drew was institutionalized by her mother for a year and a half before finally cleaning up and petitioning the court for emancipation from mommy.  Even as a young teen Drew knew that her only chance at success and health would be to get away from her toxic parents permanently.  At fourteen years old Drew officially became an adult in her own right and finally gained control her life and her finances without her unhealthy parents' involvement.

1 The Lost Boy Discovers He Has Lost Money

Corey Feldman was the iconic, heartthrob of the eighties starring on the silver screen since he was only three years old.  The child actor might have lit up the screen, but at home things were far from glamorous.  Feldman claimed that he was a "child slave" who was abused and force fed diet pills by his mother for the entirety of his childhood.  What is worse is while he was out acting and earning money for his parents, his parents were stealing as much as they could.  According to Corey mom and dad took nearly a million dollars of his earnings from him before he was fifteen years old.  That's when Corey had enough and took the drama to the courts asking for full emancipation from his parents.  The judge granted his wish and he was able to live his life and spend his fortune how he chose.
