She modelled under the pseudonym Jordan, and her career was propelled into the limelight by her time as a topless female glamour model in Page 3, in the British tabloid paper The Sun. After this she’s also starred in reality shows (such as Celebrity Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!), released albums, published her autobiography Being Jordan (which was nominated in the British Book Awards, and launched her own lingerie collection. Katie Price aka Jordan has done many things in her career. One of these things is taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest. To get a briefer: the Eurovision Song Contest is one of the grandest TV song competitions, held annually among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union. The participating countries each submit an original song to be performed on live TV, which the audience vote upon.

Katie Price performed a song titled “Not Just Anybody” while wearing a tight, pink cat suit. Price herself admitted that she wishes she didn’t take part in the singing contest. In fact, she said she wouldn’t change anything (in her career, or life, perhaps), apart from her Eurovision stint.

Katie Price recently drew flak from fans after sharing a snap (which she has since deleted) that showed a small bird mangled in the bumper of her car. Her photograph captioned her saying “Nice!!” and that she “must of” hit a bird (sic). The post offended many of her fans and caused outrage in social media, which was flooded by angry comments, accusing her of being “insensitive” and even outright “disgusting”.

Price must have deleted the photo because of being bombarded by angry commenters. Yikes! Looks like Katie needs to be extra careful with: one, driving, so as not to hit any more innocent birds; and two, assuming she does accidentally hit an animal, reacting on it – because gloating about a dead bird is, like, really uncool bordering on animal cruelty.

13 Shaving Hearts And Diamonds On Her Horse’s Back

Apparently, Katie’s hitting a bird and gloating about it on social media is not the first issue involving animals that drew outrage from fans and animal organizations alike. Earlier in 2016, Katie uploaded in her Instagram a photo of her pet horse with heart and diamond shapes on its back where the hair was shaved in places.

A spokesperson from PETA commented that an unskilled groomer may cause cuts or lesions on the animal’s back. Some other comments included saying that the different shapes is about “human vanity” and reduced the animal into playthings. One statement even said that if Price wanted to shave hearts and diamonds into someone’s hair, she should’ve used her own. Katie was quick to fire back though, saying that all her animals in her farm are cared for. We could totally believe that the horse was unharmed, but diamonds and hearts on a horse are a bit tacky.

12 Sleeping With Gareth Gates While Pregnant

Gareth Gates is an English singer-songwriter and runner-up in the ITV talent show Pop Idol. Gareth and Katie had a brief fling/relationship, which was put in the spotlight when Gates, then 17, was caught via CCTV sneaking out of her hotel room. He initially denied it, threatened legal action, even, until he admitted it a year later.

Now, we don’t really want to judge a woman’s sexual life, because many pregnant women do have intercourse during the course of their pregnancy. But, Katie herself says that at the time, she was young and lonely; but now she regrets it, and expresses that it was gross and disgusting. She also says she’s glad she shamed Gates into admitting it happened. Well, good on her, we guess!

11 Using The N Word

Katie Price went on the TV show This Morning and talked about the bullying her disabled son Harvey received. She has been very vocal against the bullying and discriminating that is targeted to her son. However, while on air, and describing the comments targeted at Harvey, she used the n-word twice.

Katie drew flak from many people, including Gifty Louise, X Factor Star, and Celebrity Big Brother Housemate Stacy Francis. Francis wrote a piece on HuffPost explaining that the n-word is a very emotionally-laden word and the historical context makes it a slur and that this context simply cannot be erased. Louise, meanwhile, says that as a white person, Katie shouldn’t have said it, no matter what the situation is.

10 Showing A Picture Of Her Fridge

Yup, we all read that right: she showed a picture of her stocked fridge on Instagram. After taking a trip to the grocery to buy food for hubby Kieran Hayler and her five children, Katie Price took to Instagram to show her very well-stocked refrigerator. She’s had a fair share of startling controversies such as taking a picture of a dead bird, and using the N-word, but who knew even her refrigerator could cause so much drama?!

A critic says that the state of her fridge is “dangerous” and that she needed to store her meats and cheeses properly. Another commenter said that if Katie had done a basic food and hygiene course, maybe she’ll understand. Most concerns revolved around avoiding food poisoning and maintaining proper food hygiene. Some clapped back at the critics and told them to get a life.

In her seemingly innocent photo, she showed her well-manicured feet protected by white, furry sandals. She was branded as “heartless” and “hypocritical” by commenters, given that she also professes a lot of love for animals. Angry fans hoped that it wasn’t fur and that Katie should’ve known better. Katie opted not to comment on the rage storm that brewed. We do sincerely hope that wasn’t fur, though.

Even more commotion on Katie Price’s Instagram?! We’re not anymore surprised. Katie, who has over 1 million followers on Instagram (and that’s a lot of commotion from many voices!), is known for her many pets – ranging from cats to dogs to horses and to hedgehogs – and her love for animals. What she’s also known for is her many controversial Instagram posts, and this time, her promotion of “real fur slides” does the trick. She posted a picture of her feet adorned in fluffy pink slipper-like footwear, and Instagram just exploded.

According to some she is a “disgusting hypocrite” (wow, a level up from just “hypocrite”), and some questioned her stance on supporting animal rights. Fans and followers threatened a mass unfollowing, and voiced that everyone should rescind support for celebs that egg on the fur trade.

7 Giving Her Kid Juice

It seems like Katie’s critics will never stop hounding her Instagram feed, and this time people raved against her picture of her two-year-old drinking juice out of a baby bottle. She posted a photo of her child Bunny and intended to show how the kid liked to play in the garden, but concerned parents flocked to the photo and started commenting how juice might start a kid’s tooth decay.

Critics warned that juice was the number one cause of childhood tooth decay, but followed up with placations: that they were not criticizing parenting skills but merely offering advice. A dental nurse even chimed in to agree with the dental concerns. As with any of her Instagram controversies, some parents also defended Katie’s parenting. Who knew Instagram could turn into a parenting council?

6 Sneaky Texting

Katie Price has had a very tumultuous and rocky personal life. She has had many husbands, and in all of these, there have been lots of spats and controversies. One of the points of conflict in her marriage with Kieran Hayler is her sneaky texting with DJ Tom.

Kieran said that when he took her phone she immediately grabbed it back to delete everything from it. Upon looking at the phone late on when it got left in front of the car, Kieran discovered that she was texting/ WhatsApp-ing Tom Zanetti under a woman’s name “Rebecca Botox Manchester”. Katie’s reaction, however, is remiss of remorse as she said she wasn’t sorry for what she did, and what Kieran did was worse – cheating on her with two of her best friends. We’ve got to say: this scheme was particularly creative but quite deceptive of Katie.

5 Making Digs At Ex-Husband

Okay, if married people had rocky relationships, it’s probably perfectly normal for one to throw a little spite in the other’s way and vice versa (though we suggest healthy marriage counselling and actual communication, of course!). It’s also probably normal to have a little (or large? We can never be certain) seed of anger somewhere in there.

But we don’t think it’s proper to throw digs at people in front of cameras or in public, which involves “exposing” incriminating and “disgusting” footage or pictures of another. Alex Reid, her husband who is a cage fighter and crossdresser (who is called Roxanne, his alter-ego), snapped back at Katie and called her a bully, given her sly joke at his expense in her show Loose Women. Katie also threatened to spill “disturbing” and “disgusting” footage of Reid. Keep it clean, guys! Go to that counselling appointment!

4 Having Makeup (???)

Critics waste no time yet again to rush to Katie’s Instagram feed and call out another moment in her life. This time, it’s when she posted a photo of youngest daughter Bunny wearing a mouth full of brown lipstick and eyes emphasized with what could possibly be mascara (or maybe it’s just the filter?).

Not everyone had nice things to say despite the likes, and some said that the picture was age-inappropriate. One commenter gave the picture a signature eye-roll emoji, saying sarcastically how they hoped it was an Easter egg, but was not surprised it was makeup (“typical”, they called it). On the other side of the fence are the defenders saying it was normal for daughters to fool around with their mothers’ makeup all the time. Whew, what a day in the life of Katie Price!

3 Posting Picture Of Daughter At The Beach (Yes, In A Bikini)

Haters are definitely on a roll on Katie’s social media. The sea of opinions was split once again, like how God parted the Red Sea for Moses, and the two opposing sides debated whether or not it was alright for Katie to have posted a picture of her 9 year old daughter posing in a bikini.

Princess struck a fierce pose while donning a deep blue two-piece with a large hat atop her head, and people say it was too sexy, and that they wouldn’t let their children pose this way. On the other hand, fans defended her by stating that Katie being a model, Princess would probably have been inspired by her to do striking poses that were model-like.

2 Considering Hiring A Prostitute For Son Harvey 

On her show Loose Women, Katie encountered the story of a woman who considered hiring a prostitute for her autistic son, after which Katie entered with her own story of how her husband Kieran actually suggested a similar idea and asked if they should get Harvey a prostitute once he is 18. Katie responded by saying that he was “her little Harvey” and she didn’t want to, but wondered at the same time if she should let him experience it.

Her statements drew controversy into her life once again, and a Hollywood Gossip writer even commented how the way the women talked about the autistic children was akin to talking about them like animals, but offered that most of the Internet ire was misplaced (because most of them criticized sex work per se, but not the issue of the moms at hand), and even said that Katie is far from the worst offender in this scenario, given that she only brought her story up. The writer ended the narrative by saying that unless Harvey actually indicates he wants it when he’s legal, Katie probably should not consider it for now.

1 Commenting How Lucky Children Of Divorced Parents Are

One of Katie’s statements that drew flak from both her ex-husband Peter Andre and media entities alike is her comment on how lucky children of divorced parents are because they “get extra presents”. She made the comment on live TV, then afterward joked how her kids probably would be too young to remember their parents being together anyway. This is probably one of the more tone-deaf comments Katie has made.

Peter Andre answers back and says he doesn’t agree with her statement, and that divorce “absolutely affects kids”. He also goes on to say how if it can be avoided it should, but for some they have no choice, and that the kids should not be considered lucky. He’s probably right here, and the aftermath of divorce is something we should absolutely talk about sincerely. After all, kids are on the line.
