Who doesn’t love a good parody? A parody is a play on a specific artist, song, or genre that is exaggerated with the attempt of comedic effect. They have been very popular in the movie industry with films such as Scary Movie or Fifty Shades of Black. They are simply amazing in their ability to portray everything we think about certain movies and subjects.
Parodies are even funnier when you can personally relate to them. Pregnant ladies have created some of the most funny and relatable parodies to describe being pregnant. These mama’s to be do not hold back at all when they describe the ups and downs with being pregnant. I wish I was this creative when I was pregnant.
The great thing about the world we live in now, is that it doesn’t take long before something goes viral. You place a video up on the internet, whether it be Facebook or YouTube, and before you know it you have millions of views and it is being shared all over the world. When something is shared all over the world, and watched by millions, it is sometimes brought to the attention of newscasts or daytime talk shows. Shows like Ellen DeGeneres are very well known for giving viral internet stars their fifteen minutes of fame.
These parodies are so good and popular that you may have seen them before, but we want to show them again. They are just that good. Here are 15 pregnant women who have pulled off the best parodies. Sit back and enjoy!
15 Shut Up And Dance
Our next parody comes to us from The Murrays who have a channel on YouTube. Their parody to the song Shut Up and Dance has received well over 1.5 million views. It is easy to see why; the parody discusses their shock when they discover that they are pregnant again. In the video description, the couple states that they had seen pregnancy parodies going around and thought they looked like a lot of fun. They used this video as a way to announce their pregnancy to their families.
They wanted to keep the parody upbeat and fun, as this was their fourth child. They understand that there is a weird stigma in society today that looks down on people who have more than two children. Mama-to-be was even offered birth control by her doctor, without her even asking for it! They wanted to show that no matter what number baby you are on, a baby is a joy and a blessing. I think they did a good job.

14 I’m So Pregnant
This was one of the first ones I ever saw, the parody of I’m so pregnant set to the tune of a popular Iggy Azalea song. It captures all the things that can be frustrating to say the least about pregnancy. First of all, she looks amazing and has some serious pregnancy dance skills.
I have a personal relation to all the references to the heartburn! It is amazing that you can eat what ever you want when you are pregnant, except that they all cause heartburn. The group behind this parody is a group called WhatsUpMoms on YouTube. In a behind the scenes video there was some serious worry that the women would go into labour while filming. Thankfully, that did not happen. While it looked like a relatively easy to film video, a lot of work and planning went into the filming of this parody. It is definitely one of the best.

13 Oops I Did It Again
This one is perfection. It is a perfect song to use for a parody, and not just because we never did understand what Britney did again. This was a parody that was completed by Vintage Marquee Lights on YouTube and has gained more than 1.6 million views. It is a very creative pregnancy announcement, that takes different songs by Britney Spears and turns them into funny and very accurate descriptions of pregnancy.
The first song is Oops I did It Again, meaning that she is pregnant with their second child. We then go on to the song Toxic where she talks about the nausea that arrives in the first trimester. Then there is I’m A Slave For You where she sings about how she is trying hard to hide her pregnancy for the first three months. I could go on and describe all of them, but it really is better if you just watch the video for yourself.

12 Mom The Giraffe
April the Giraffe was quite the internet sensation. As people watched for months, but felt like years, waiting for this darn giraffe to have her baby. It was quite an event filled with some funny commentary, but mostly just people watching a giraffe walk around a cage for a long time. There were more than 30 million people who logged on to watch April.
One pregnant mom decided to get on board this train and shoot a parody of April the Giraffe. Erin Dietrick who is from South Carolina released a video of herself, wearing a giraffe mask, walking around her room doing nothing really, except being pregnant. She was definitely not expecting the attention that her video got, it received about 10 million views in 12 hours. Her husband was the one who took the video of this mama-to-be pacing her bedroom, doing squats and even jumping jacks. People even started to take bets on who would have their baby first.

11 How Far I’ll Go
Moana is one of the newest Disney films and has done quite well, and is very popular among children and adults alike. One of the best parts of the movie is the song How far I’ll go sung by the main character. This parody is probably one of the newest, being released on YouTube on May 4th of this year. The mom in the video, Danielle, is past her due date and just doesn’t know when this baby is going to come out.
She used the song, How far I’ll go to describe her feelings that this pregnancy may never end. She hilariously explains that she can’t break her water no matter how hard she tries. What I find very funny is that she is longingly wondering when she will go into labour while she looks lovingly at a peri bottle. This parody is so relatable to any mom out there who has gone over her due date and just wants the baby out.

One couple took the song Closer by The Chainsmokers and made it into a very serious pregnancy parody and birth announcement. The video was released on January 23, 2017, and shows a couple trying desperately trying to get to the hospital when they’re in labour. It explains a lot of the fears that a couple may have about not getting to the hospital in time. They worry about getting pulled over, and it is not long before the mom-to-be in the car starts making angry threats at the dad because he is driving too slow.
They also used this clever video as a way of announcing the arrival of their little baby, so yes they did make it to the hospital. Not before they did get pulled over by a policeman, but once they explained the situation, the police officer actually gave them an escort to the hospital. Mom goes in to have her baby, but not before having a quick snack.

9 Pregnant And I Know It
Now, the same couple responsible for the last parody video, also did one when they found out they were pregnant as a way to explain their pregnancy. They seem like a very fun couple! They choose to do their parody to the song by LMFAO I’m Sexy and I Know It. Except it was I’m Pregnant and I Know it. I especially love the line ‘just look at my belly, I pig out.’
While it is a hilarious video, it even has a very special message to all the pregnant ladies out there, to embrace your pregnancy. To embrace all the symptoms and how you look when you are pregnant. To own that you are pregnant and strut your stuff. Even to throw in some awesome belly bump dance moves along the way. Do the waddle girl! I can’t get enough of these.

8 All About That Bump
I love Megan Trainor, as do a lot of people, and she rocketed to success with her hit All About that Bass. One mom decided to take that song and make a hilarious (and true) pregnancy parody video, All About that Bump. It opens with hilarity right away, when the mom starts talking about all the pressure, and that she may go pee right in her pants. I mean, who hasn’t been there right? She then goes on to explain her love of her maternity pants, maternity pants truly are ridiculously comfortable, and I wore them long after my baby was born.
This is another parody where it is telling moms to be proud of their bump and to flaunt their stuff. This video on YouTube has collected more than 600, 000 views. One of the best parts of this video is the mom and dad dance in the kitchen.

7 Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
Who didn’t love the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, I know I sure did. If you grew up in the 90’s you probably know the theme rap by heart, and it probably constantly got stuck in your head. If you need a reminder, if started with; “ Now this is a story all about how …” you can probably take over from there. One couple decided to announce their pregnancy by doing a parody with the popular theme song. It was uploaded on YouTube by Jesse Meek and has gotten over 5 million views! Crazy!
It is a simple video, of the pair riding in their car. They went on to explain their life of meeting and getting married and even snuck in there some pressure from parental figures for grandchildren. They then go on to inform their families that they are pregnant, and show a picture of an ultrasound while flashing large smiles. Sometimes the simplest videos are the most creative and heartfelt.

6 We Can’t Stop…Having Babies
Miley Cyrus is a household name, she started as a Disney star and went on to be a controversy-inducing adult performer. One of her songs, We Can’t Stop was turned into a hilarious parody by Chad Chapman on YouTube. The video has over 2.6 million views and explains how the happy couple is expecting their fourth child. There is a weird society issue with people who choose to have numerous children, so this couple took to making a hilarious parody about it.
The opening line says it all “It’s our family, we can do what we want.” It goes on to give all the reasons why they are having another one, and why it is perfectly OK. The underlining message of this parody is that they are the only ones that can decide on how many children they have. It’s clear to see that this is a happy and fun-loving family.

If you can find anyone that can’t help but dance around when Pharrell’s Happy comes on, I would like to meet them. It is a fun and infectious song that you can’t help but love. Canaan Barger decided to announce his new baby on the way with a parody to the song Happy on YouTube. The video, which was released on September 5th, 2016, has only received juts over 3, 000 views, but I think it deserves much more.
It is yet another video, where there are underlining messages that they are having yet another baby. One line in the song, states that you should ‘clap along, if you feel like all you do is change poop.” So true. They just want to say that they are happy, and that’s why they want more children, and that they see this new baby as a blessing. Yet another fun and happy family.

4 Thrift Shop
Macklemore became an instant star when he released his first single, Thrift Shop. All he had was 20 dollars in his pocket. Anyone out there who has ever been to a thrift shop knows that twenty dollars can get you a good haul. When you are expecting a child, a thrift shop can be a great place to save some money, as we all know babies are not cheap.
The video which has over 123, 000 views, starts with them doing some shopping, and picking up a pregnancy test. It comes back positive, and they go on to state how they are going to save money once the baby comes. It is a hilarious take on the joys and expenses that come with a new baby. Sometimes I wonder if the artist behind the real songs have seen or even know about these parodies. I would love to know their thoughts on them!

3 Do You Want To Build A ... Baby
If anyone out there has children around the age of 5 and up, I am sure that they have watched their fair share of the movie Frozen. The Disney film was an instant classic among little girls everywhere, and has been hailed a great film depicting that you don’t need a prince to save the day. One thing that movie Frozen introduced to us, other than Olaf, is the many wonderful and catchy tunes. One couple took the tune Do You Want To Build A Snowman, and made a hilarious parody about building a baby.
Justin and Kara Tolley took to YouTube and created a parody pregnancy announcement using Bruno Mars' Treasures and Frozen's Do You Want To Built A Snowman as well as a mash-up of many more songs. What was probably only intended for family and friends turned into so much more, as the video has more than 33, 000 views. Paired with some sassy lyrics, are some dance moves that can only be done by parents, so I think this couple is definitely ready.
2 Dear Future … Body?
We have arrived at another Meghan Trainor parody. This time it was don’t to her very popular song Dear Future Husband. It is a very catchy and fun song that you can’t help but sing along too. Megan Park on YouTube decided to create a parody when she fell pregnant. The unique thing about this parody is it is all about her body. She is singing the song to her future body, get it? Dear Future Body!
She starts out apologizing to her body as it is about to change in the next nine months. They used this video as a way to announce their pregnancy to their friends and family. They address some of the concerns when planning for a baby to enter your life. How do you even start to shop from them, what do you buy and how much. My favourite line is; “you gotta know that I’m trying to grow a baby, and that’s why I’m acting crazy.”
Did you really think that the British queen Adele wouldn’t make our list? Well she did, Sexy Mama Movement on YouTube created a parody video to Adele’s song Hello. It is another song sung by a woman who is very near the end of her pregnancy and is just so over it. The depressive note to this song makes it a perfect match for all the woman out there who are just so done with being pregnant.
It is quite melo-dramatic, but any mom who goes past their due date is allowed to be. It goes through and shows all the different ways this mom has tried (and failed) to induce labour. The sleepless nights, the running to the bathroom and the violent kicks from inside are all covered in this parody, with accurate description. Near the end, she states that her sisters are ready to … and you think she’s about to say meet you, but she instead says … drive you crazy. Mic drop!
