When it comes to who will be by your side when they surgically remove your baby from your body, the answer is not black and white. Who can accompany mom into the actual operating room is typically dictated by hospital policy, meaning different hospitals have different rules in regards to

support. Most hospitals will allow for only one person to be in the operating room with you, whether that be your spouse, your mother or your doula. One thing is sure with surgical births; the event will not be a Kardashian-like birthing party.
