From newspapers to magazines to television- we are often inundated with stories about our favorite Royals- the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, or as many of us know them-Price William, Princess Kate and their adorable little ones- George and Charlotte. We are drawn to them. We feel connected to this family, and there are many reasons why they're so easily beloved!

15 They Could Be Us

Well, maybe except for that royal part. One reason there is such mass appeal to the Royal family is not just that they're often in the spotlight, it's that they appear to be like regular, normal people, like one of us. Even though we know that they aren't one of us, that there are many things they certainly don't have in common with us every day folk, we still love them anyway. Couldn't you see yourself running into them at the park and striking up a lively conversation. Maybe have them over for a play date.

14 They Were Real First Time Parents

When their son, George, was born, not only were William and Kate overjoyed, they were, well, real. When they stepped outside the hospital for all the world to see (didn't we all watch), you could see it on their face...what all new parents feel...this is our baby! Lots of love, exhaustion and bewildered excitement. Such a beautiful thing.

13 Kate and William Love to Laugh!

The cute royal couple seem to actually get along. They are photographed often smiling and laughing and genuinely enjoying whatever they're doing together. We're not even jealous of them, because something about the royal couple is so likable. Heck, they are the kind of people we would expect to move next door. (Unfortunately, the castle next door is not for sale!)

12 Queen Elizabeth Approves

Many of us are not blessed to have our grandmothers, or grandmothers-in-law, here with us today. Kate and her grandmother-in-law, the great Queen Elizabeth, seem to get along wonderfully. They are often spotted laughing together at various engagements. We can only bet the Queen is just smitten with those sweet as pie great, great grandchildren of hers!

11 Hands On Parenting Skills

Prince William and his beautiful, relate-able wife, Kate, have those two absolutely adorable children, George, born in 2013 and Charlotte, born in 2015. One thing we notice about the royal couple, is that they enjoy being parents! Even if they do have servants and nannies a-plenty, they still take immense responsibility with raising their children, and appear to love every second of it. Which makes us wonder- is their living room filled with toys, too?

10 Oh, Georgie!

Prince George is the only son to William and Kate, and therefore, is set to be king! (He's currently third in line for the throne). Little Georgie is certainly a ham. He loves to take photos and always has a sweet smile on his face. He really is just an ordinary boy who loves to be mischievous and run around creating chaos (all while looking so dapper and cute).

9 OMG Princess Charlotte!

What a cutie pie! Princess Charlotte, their only daughter, recently celebrated her first birthday. Like her brother, she is very cute and incredibly beautiful. Prince William was quoted describing Charlotte as very easy and very sweet. Word on the street is that she is already walking around and before long will be running right alongside her big brother! You can tell her parents are so in love with her.

8 They Throw Relaxed Birthday Parties

Any mom knows the struggle with a birthday party. Especially for the first birthday. Should you throw a giant extravaganza or keep it simple? Well, Kate and William prefer small, intimate parties for their little ones. Princess Charlotte reportedly had a small celebration at her home with her parents, brother and some close family and friends. Guess our invite got lost in the mail!

7 Kate Takes Her Own Photographs

Turns out that Kate has a hobby many of us share- photography! She is an avid photographer and takes many of her own shots. She even photographed her beautiful daughter for her first birthday pictures in their home and they came out so cute (available for the public to see as well). Adorable!

6 How They've Honored Princess Diana

The world fell in love with the Royals more than ever when Diana married Prince Charles. Princess Diana was beloved, not only by her two sons, William and Harry, but by the world. It was an incredibly, awfully, sad day when her life was taken in a car accident.

There is a famous picture of Princess Diana sitting in front of the Taj Mahal in India. Twenty-four years after that famous photo was taken, William and Kate visited India and took a picture in the same exact spot. Their utmost respect for Diana was obvious when they insisted on taking off their sunglasses, got to love that.

5 Family of Sports Fans

Whether at a polo match or the Olympic Games, the Royal family really gets into the game. Kate and William often dress the part (and look like an adorable couple doing so) and enjoy following the game. They'll yell and cheer, maybe even boo sometimes too.

They also have no problem taking their children along and believe it is never too young to teach them the rules of the game, especially at a polo match, where Kate has been seen kneeling down at George's level explaining the rules to him.

4 Parents Who Get on the Ground to Play

Kate and William play with their children and take them on vacations just like your family and mine. This couple have no qualms about acting silly with the family. They really are just regular parents, which is another thing we love about them. And their best accessory (and the one we hope we have too): a SMILE on their face.

3 The Royals Get a Family Pet

When most people envision the Royal family getting a pet, a horse or pony comes to mind, right? Nope! Kate recently opened a children's play garden called The Magic Garden at Hampton Court Palace. During the opening ceremonies which were attended by local school children, Kate told the crowd there's a new addition to their family. What did they get...a hamster. Yep, a little, tiny, hamster. Apparently, George and Charlotte love the little guy too.

2 Kisses, Kisses, Kisses

We're not the only ones who want (and do) give endless smooches to our brood, even if they attempt to push us away. Kate Middleton, we now know, is a hands on mom, and even with all her style and grace, she certainly does not hold back her kisses from those adorable children of hers. Well, who could resist those cheeks?!

1 Kate Could Be Our Best Mom Friend

How amazing is it that Prince William married what seems to be an every day girl? Kate Middleton could be one of us. We relate to her. Heck, she stood outside the hospital after giving birth, not at all trying to hide the belly every pregnant woman still has after delivery. What celebrity does that? For the moment, she is the best imaginary friend we keep in our head.
