It’s no secret that Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have had their fair share of ups and downs. Fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians have watched on as Scott’s behavior got in the middle of his relationship with Kourtney. From wild night club appearances to fits of jealous rage, Scott has given his ex-plenty of reasons to leave him.
Yet, the duo have three children together, Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Although they are no longer together as a couple, they are committed to co-parenting their kids. Kourtney has laid out a few rules for Scott to follow. After he went on a bender in 2015, Scott checked into rehab for treatment. Kourtney decided to give their relationship one last shot, but he had to abide by her wishes. From supervised visits with the children to forcing him to continue to spend more time with her Kardahsian sisters, Kourtney laid down the law.
Things didn’t work out for their relationship and after Scott went on a revenge campaign, they finally ended the union for good. Each of them are now dating other people and the exes have had to accept a “new normal”. Scott must respect Kourtney’s boundaries if he wants to be in the lives of his children. Here are 15 absurd Kourtney Kardashian makes Scott follow.
15 He Can't Barge Into Her House
On the season 14 finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney and Scott discussed some ground rules. The duo, who share 8-year-old son Mason, 5-year-old daughter Penelope and 3-year-old son Reign, split in 2015 after nine years of dating. They’re are attempting to co-parent their three children together. The discussion was prompted when Scott wandered into Kourtney’s room unannounced to look for a pair of sunglasses.
"I just feel like we should discuss some of the boundaries in the house," Kardashian told Disick. "I feel like sometimes, because this was your house, sometimes I feel like you walk in like it still is." She went on to say that it made sense for new relationships that Scott should knock before entering.
"There's obviously some boundaries that we both need to respect. I don't want you to be uncomfortable," Scott said before teasing, "The next time I'll go up there [nude]."
14 No More Club Appearances
One thing that often caused quite a bit of friction during Kourtney and Scott’s tumultuous relationship was his paid appearances at nightclubs. The reality star made a ton of money just by showing up at events, drinking cocktails, and flirting with pretty ladies. He often lost control and most of the time, Kourtney would be at home with the kids while he partied it up all night.
Sometimes, he wouldn’t even come home at all and it seems that she finally grew tired of Scott’s antics. According to a source at OK Magazine, Kourtney laid down the law when it came to Scott’s appearances. “No more nightclubs! Kourtney has shut down one of Disick’s main sources of income, since that’s what caused their split to begin with.” the source said.
13 No More Hugs When They Greet Each Other
Kourtney isn’t the only one setting boundaries. During their discussion on the season 14 finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashans, Scott requested a new rule of his own to set the parameters of their relationship. He wanted a bit more personal space when it came to how the exes greet each other. ET Online reported the conversation:
"I was also thinking I have a boundary. I don’t really wanna hug anymore," Scott said. "I think we should just shake hands when we see each other. Is that cool?"
"We could do a high-five?" suggested Kourtney, before Scott rejected the idea for being too childish. Kourtney suggested a fist bump as a compromise.
"I'll meet you in the middle there," Scott said. "If you're cool with that, then I'm cool with your stuff."
12 He Can't Interfere With Her Love Life
Scott totally flipped out when Kourtney started dating her current boyfriend, Younes Bendjima. After the paparazzi snapped some pics of Kourtney and her new man at dinner together, she decided to call Scott to give him a heads up. Scott became irate and screamed at her over the phone.
On another episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney revealed that her ex had threatened Younes. “Scott is like threatening me,” Kourtney revealed. “He’s like, ‘Your little friend is gonna get beat up.'”
In turn, she laid down the law and has told him that has to respect that she is in another relationship and abide by her boundaries. So, that means no more fits of jealous rage. He can’t threaten her boyfriend and must give her the needed space to be in a different relationship.
11 His Girlfriends Are Banned From Seeing The Kids
Sparks flew when Kourtney and Scott had a huge blow up over Scott’ new girlfriend, Sofia Richie. According to an insider who spoke with In Touch, the argument started when Scott wanted to introduce Sofia to Mason, Penelope, and Reign.
Kourtney laid down the law and is refusing to let Sofia spend time with the kids. “Scott and Kourtney were at each other’s throats,” the source said. “The argument got so heated that Scott stormed out of Kourtney’s house, slamming the door behind him.”
Kourtney doesn’t trust that her ex is serious about his new relationship and doesn’t approve of his new lady. “Kourtney thinks Sofia is too young to be a good role model,” dished the insider. “She insists that Scott has to be in a serious relationship for at least six months before introducing a girlfriend to the children.”
10 He Has To Hang With The Kardashian Clan
When it comes to her family, Kourtney has demanded that Scott focus not only on their own children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, but she wants him to continue to spend time with the entire Kardashian clan. According to Ok Magazine, “Kourtney has requested that Scott spend time with the entire family with her sisters, brother and even his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.”
That might explain why fans often see Scott going on various trips and showing up at events in support of Kourtney’s family on Keeping Up With The Kardahsians. He still remains close with his ex’s crew and continues to be a fixture on the reality show. Although, both of Scott’s parents passed away within 3 months of each other and now the Kardashians are the only family he has left.
9 No Microwave Cooking
It’s well known that Kourtney is a total health nut and has very strict dietary rules when it comes to Mason, Penelope, and Reign. So, it’s only natural to assume that she would hold Scott to some very high standards for the children when they spend time at his house. Well, she has a serious rule and there is one appliance that Kourtney flat out refuses to use. It appears that she can’t stand cooking in a microwave oven.
Kourtney took to her app to discuss why she avoids microwave ovens. “When I had Mason, I did a lot of health-related research and decided to get rid of my microwave when I read that toxins from plastic containers can be transferred to food when reheated (this applies to BPA-free plastic containers too),” she wrote.
8 He Can't Hang With His Party Crew
Scott loves to party and he has no shortage of friends that are willing to go out and find trouble with him. One of the issues that came between Scott and Kourtney’s relationship was how often he let loose with his party crew while she stayed home and watched the children. So, his ex took matters into her own hands and forbade him from hanging out with his friends.
According to Ok Magazine, Kourtney demanded that he no longer see or even speak with anyone who might be a bad influence on him. According to a family insider, “She’s even laid down the law that he can’t talk to any of his “party pals” for any reason.” Who can blame Kourtney for wanting to keep the father of her children from bad friends who don’t support his sobriety?
7 No Revenge Sprees With Random Girls
There was a time when Scott was photographed with a different girl almost everyday as he went on a self-destructive revenge spree in an effort to make Kourtney jealous. He followed Kourtney to Cannes, France as she went on a romantic holiday with Younes Bendjima. Scott cozied up to actress, Bella Thorne and pretty much made a fool of himself. The two were seen partying and playing things up for photographers.
Scott’s attempt to get Kourtney’s attention totally backfired and instead of making her want him back, Kourtney was forced to lay down the law. TMZ broke the story, “Kourtney was furious with Scott after he had a jealousy-fueled party spree and even kept the kids from him until he cleaned up his act.” An insider close to the family told the gossip site.
6 Friendly Family Vacations
Even though Scott and Kourtney are both seeing other people, the couple are determined to successfully co-parent Mason, Penelope, and Reign. The family often vacation together and have posted social media pics while on getaways in Nantucket, Hawaii, and Apsen, Colorado. It may seem strange to some that the exes would go on trips together with their kids but it’s clear that they want to keep things as friendly as possible. It may not be perfect but the duo have found a “new normal”.
Kourtney was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and discussed her complicated relationship with Scott. "Well, we're not together," Kourtney shared with Ellen. "I feel like every day is different, but we're totally getting along. Like, we have three beautiful kids together...But, you know, he's family. He'll always be."
5 Supervised Visits
Things got a little messy for Kourtney and Scott in 2015 when Scott landed himself in rehab to deal with his addiction issues. The famous couple broke up and Kourtney was so concerned about the well-being of their children that she demanded that Scott could only spend time with them under close supervision.
According to an insider that spoke with HollywoodLife “Kourtney has no problem with Scott spending time with their kids, but on one condition — there needs to be someone with them at all times. One of their nannies must supervise the kids when they are at Scott’s house. Kourtney doesn’t want the kids at risk if Scott decides to get out of control and drink, or invite any wild friends over,” the source shared.
4 He Has To Be A "Hands On" Dad
Another rule that Kourtney put in place after Scott came out of rehab in 2015 was that he had to step up and be a more “hands on” dad. During the time that he was out on wild benders, Kourtney was forced to be a single mom while Scott was out cavorting and partying with his friends. She finally reached her limit after he went in for treatment and put her foot down when it came to how much attention he gave to their children.
Inquisitr reported that the mom of three set up new guideline for Scott. “When Disick was caught cheating, Kourtney stepped up and did everything to make sure the children were doing well. She took them to the movies, had pajama parties at home, and colored with them. She truly stepped up, but she wants Disick to be their father again.” The tabloid said.
3 He Has To Submit To Breathalyzer Tests
Scott had a relapse in 2017 when he discovered that Kourtney was dating Younes Bendjima and totally went out of control. From his revenge spree with various women to wild nights out with friends, his self destructive tailspin landed him in hot water with Kourtney. She was so nervous about his partying ways that she required him to pass a breathalyzer test before he could see the children,
TheHollywoodGossip reported, “She is requiring him to take a Breathalyzer test before he takes the kids anywhere by himself,” a source close to the situation told Radar Online. Insiders said it wasn't easy, “Kourtney hates feeling like she's coming between a father and his kids, but she'll do what she feels is necessary to ensure her children's safety.” The source dished to the tabloid.
2 Only Organic Food For The Kids
Kourtney is a total health nut that forces her family to eat a gluten and dairy free diet. She is adamant about eating healthy and demands that Scott provide nutritious foods for their three children Mason, Penelope, and Reign. That means no junk food when they visit dad and he has to follow her rules.
Kourtney took to her blog to discuss the restrictive parameters she’s placed on what the kids are and aren’t allowed to eat. She also talks about what inspired her to change their diet. “I have noticed a great positive change in behavior with my children when we stick to a gluten- and dairy-free diet.” She wrote. “I don't think everyone needs to eat this way but we had muscle testing done, which showed we all have sensitivities to corn, gluten and dairy.”
1 Strict Technology Rules For The Children
When it comes to technology and the kids, Kourtney has laid down some tight rules about their screen time. She demands that Scott enforce the same rules when he has the children. They are very limited to how often and when they are allowed to have screen time. Kourtney is extremely hands on and requires the same attention to detail from her ex.
Kourtney shared her thoughts on the subject on her blog. “It’s tough to know what’s best for our kids when it comes to technology,” she wrote. “Now that all my kids are over the age of two, I do allow them limited time to play video games and watch television. We have a game room, so I allow 30 minutes of video game time during the week and an hour on the weekends."
