Prince Harry is a man that was born to be a royal father. I mean, fans have seen the way his eyes light up each time he’s around babies and small children. There is no denying that he has a natural ability to connect with kids and that he truly enjoys being around them whenever he’s at one of his royal engagements and public appearances. He’s also the “cool” uncle behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace. He’s the kind of guy that always gives children attention whenever they are in the same room.

With that being said, Meghan Markle has to feel like the luckiest woman on the planet. Because there’s nothing more attractive than a man who loves kids and of course, is impatiently waiting to become a father himself. That’s why so many people believe that the former Hollywood actress will most likely get pregnant sooner rather than later. After all, Prince Harry has waited a very long time before meeting “the one.” And now that he has her, he’s going to want to start on his family plans very quickly.

That’s why we’ve got a list of 15 reasons why we think Prince Harry is going to change the way royal children are raised. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

15 He'll Have More Compassion

Prince Harry is a man that speaks from the heart. We’ve seen it so many times, we’ve honestly lost count. It’s also the reason why so many royal fans from all over the world love him. He’s the one member of the British royal family that the public can easily connect to. That’s because he comes off as very compassionate and someone who truly wants to change this world to make it a better place. And when he loves, he loves hard. He takes love and relationships very seriously. And it’s without a doubt that he will take his job and commitment to raising a family just as seriously, too. In other words, he’s in it to win it. He’s not about to mess up the best thing he has going on right now.

Speaking about how he first met Meghan Markle, Prince Harry said (according to their first Sky News interview): “We had two dates in London last July, and it was I think about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana, and we camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.”

14 His Family Values

Sure, Prince Harry has had plenty of ups and downs in his life. But at the same time, his heart and his values have always been in the right place: and that’s at home (or rather at Buckingham Palace) with his family.

Growing up as a royal might not have been easy, but he’s managed to rise above the challenge.

He’s grown up in front of the public eye and unfortunately, every little mistake has been documented in front of the paparazzi and tabloid magazines for the world to see. But he’s learned from his mistakes and he’s determined to not make the same ones again. He’s also not shy about talking about his issues to help others in need. That’s why he’s so involved in his mental health campaign.

He told the Telegraph in an interview, “I know that there’s huge merit in talking about your issues, and the only thing about keeping it quiet, it’s only ever going to make it worse. Not just for you, but for everyone else around you, as well, because you become a problem. And I, for a lot of my twenties, was a problem. I don’t know how I dealt with it.”

13 His Modern Approach To Raising Kids

Now, it’s too early to predict what kind of parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be in the future. But from what we can gather already, they are going to definitely have a more modern approach to raising kids. After all, Prince Harry is the outsider of the family. And Meghan was raised with good and strong family values herself, thanks to her mother, Doria Ragland. There’s no person on this planet that she’s closer to.

Also, there’s a very good chance that Harry and Meghan are going to raise their children to become world travelers.

Speaking about his love for Africa, Harry told Town and Country magazine, “This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world. I wish I could spend more time in Africa. I have this intense sense of complete relaxation and normality here. To not get recognized, to lose myself in the bush with what I would call the most down-to-earth people on the planet, people [dedicated to conservation] with no ulterior motives, no agendas, who would sacrifice everything for the betterment of nature… I talk to them about their jobs, about what they do. And I learn so much.”

12 Raising His Kids Alongside William And Kate

Luckily for Prince Harry, he’s got a great model to look up to when it comes to raising a royal family right. With Prince William and Kate Middleton raising their own three children at Kensington Palace, Harry will be able to share all of the joys, the ups and the downs of parenting with him. Plus, he’s already had a few years to observe and practice with his role as Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’ royal uncle.

Also, he has made it no secret that he wants to raise his family as a team with Meghan Markle. What makes them so special as a couple is that they are a team. It’s also safe to say that Prince Harry definitely doesn’t want to make the same mistakes his parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana made in their own marriage. Everyone remembers what kind of embarrassing public disaster that was, and especially their divorce. That’s why he’s willing to take a different approach.

Prince Harry put it this way (according to Good Housekeeping): “I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me. I choose her. Whatever we have to tackle will be us together as a team."

11 The Influence Of His Relationship With His Dad

Now, we don’t want to cause any sibling rivalries, but for years now it’s been pretty obvious that Prince Harry has managed to form a closer bond with his father Prince Charles than his brother Prince William has.

Some say that’s because Harry and Charles have a great bond because of their love and respect for Britain’s armed forces and their own military service.

Also, they have very similar interests and communicate well with one another. They are also both very passionate about their royal charity work.

Back in December 2017, Prince Harry had actually interviewed his father Prince Charles for a special BBC program. Here’s what the next King of England had to say, “What I’ve tried to do all these years is to make sure, if I can possibly, is that ensure that you and your children, my grandchildren, also everybody else’s grandchildren, have a world fit to live in, that provides them with opportunity.”

When Prince Harry talked about his own passion for the environment and making the world a better place, Prince Charles beamed with pride. He added, “You know, dear boy, if I may say show, the fact that you’re saying this gives me enormous optimism.”

10 What He Learned From Princess Diana

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Prince Harry has been doing a very good job of following in the footsteps of his late mother, Princess Diana. Even though she passed away when he was still very young, she has managed to shape him into the person that he is today. Everything he does, he keeps his mother in mind. Even though she died twenty years ago, Prince Harry wants to make sure that he is always making her happy in one form or another.

That’s why he wants to listen and he is willing to put all of his efforts into making his marriage and his family work in the long run. His life and legacy depend on it.

Speaking about his last phone call with Princess Diana before her death back in 1997, Prince Harry said this during an ITV documentary, “If I’d known that that was the last time I was going to speak to my mother the things that I would – the things I would have said to her. All I do remember regretting for the rest of my life how short that phone call is. Looking back now, I have to live with that for the rest of my life.”

9 What He Learned From Queen Elizabeth

While there’s no doubt that Prince Harry has learned a lot from his parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana (in both good and bad ways), he’s also been heavily influenced by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. And from what we know, they also have a fantastic relationship (remember his Invictus Games promo with his granny, Barack and Michelle Obama? The clip went viral in a matter of hours).

What makes Prince Harry so special from the rest of the family is that he has a natural ability to connect with just about anyone.

He can spend hours talking to his grandmother about any topic that comes to mind, just like he would talk to his father or his brother. And from those conversations, there’s no doubt that he’s learned a lot. After all, the Queen is one of the most powerful women in Great Britain, if not the world. She’s also very well respected and has managed to maintain a good level of popularity throughout her years as the leader of the monarchy.

According to Brainy Quotes, Prince Harry has said, “Conversations with my mother, father, my grandparents, as I've grown up have obviously driven me towards wanting to try and make a difference as much as possible.”

8 What He Learned From Meghan’s Family Issues

Unfortunately, Meghan Markle has had to deal with some major family issues, mostly from her dad’s side of the family. Her half-siblings can’t stop talking about her to the tabloid press. And the situation with her father has become even worse. After an embarrassing paparazzi scandal, Thomas Markle Senior flip-flopped several times on his decision to attend Meghan Markle’s wedding at the very last minute. This has all left Meghan very heartbroken, needless to say.

"This is a serious situation. Meghan and Harry are very concerned,” one insider close to the situation told Entertainment Tonight. “Thomas’ health is a private matter and therefore no comments or statements will be made [by the Palace]. Meghan and Harry have mixed emotions right now, between their concern for Meghan’s dad and the exciting start of their life together.”

If that weren’t enough, even the royal family has been forced to chime in, making it all the more embarrassing for everyone involved.

"This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding," Kensington Palace said following the photo scandal. "She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation.”

7 And He Puts Meghan First

The great thing about Prince Harry is that he’s so far demonstrated that he’s a very loyal and loving partner. Unfortunately, the British press has done everything in their power to try and bring Meghan down, simply because of who she is and where she comes from. As a result, Harry has gone into protection mode.

He loves Meghan Markle and he has proven that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make her happy.

What’s more, he is determined to start a wonderful life with her, regardless of what anyone has to say about it. He could care less about the press, the public, his critics and their opinions.

One of the reasons why he puts Meghan first is because he missed out so much on his own mother in his life. It’s obvious that he places great value on the important women in his life. He told People Magazine, “I don’t have that many memories of my childhood with my Mum. I don’t say ‘Right, I’m going to get involved in that because that’s what my Mum would want me to do,’ though inevitably once I’m doing it I think, ‘Do you know what? She’d probably love this.’”

6 He Listens To His Own Intuitions

If there is one thing that Prince Harry does very well, it's listening to his own intuitions. He’s a man that knows what he wants and he won’t let anyone or anyone’s opinions get in his way. He’s got his own mind, his own heart and he knows how to follow it, and that may be one of the reasons why he’s managed to find happiness with Meghan Markle. In other words, they have a natural connection. And when you have two people who have a marriage that has a solid foundation, chances are their future family will be just as loving, warm and protected. After all, this has always been a goal of Prince Harry’s.

Luckily, Harry didn’t have to look too hard to find his lady in waiting. Now that he has Meghan by his side, he truly feels like he can tackle the world. Prince Harry told Sky News, “The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly was sort of confirmation to me that all of the stars were aligned, everything was just perfect. [There] was this beautiful woman, who just sort of literally tripped and fell into my life [and] I fell into her life."

5 He Has Less Stress About The Monarchy

The great thing about Prince Harry is that he’s not only very comfortable in his own shoes, but he also doesn’t have to worry about the future the same way his brother Prince William does. That’s because there’s a slim chance that he will be the future King of England. I mean, Kate Middleton’s number one hobby seems to be getting pregnant year after year, right?

At this rate, Prince Harry could easily fall off the royal map and no one would notice. But that’s not a bad thing, mind you.

He gets all of the perks of being a member of the British royal family without having to worry about ever ruling it. That’s why his life might be a little less stressful compared to his brother. He gets to be the cool royal. Actually, make that the cool and confident royal. Not a bad title, right?

Speaking about the importance of confidence, Prince Harry once said (according to People Magazine): “[The sergeant] was someone who teased me at the right moments and gave me the confidence to look forward, to actually have that confidence in yourself to know who you are and to push forward and try to help others.”

4 He’s Been Dreaming Of This Moment His Entire Life

No one will deny that Prince Harry has been dreaming of becoming a husband and a father for several long years now. All of his dreams are finally coming true, thanks to a woman named Meghan Markle. He’s head over heels in love with her and willing to tackle on life’s greatest and most important challenges with her by his side. It truly is a love story like one that we’ve never heard before. That’s why so many people think he’s going to be a fantastic father. He’ll also be a proud father. When it comes to Prince Harry’s body language, you can tell that he’s very excited about what’s to come in his near future. He’s got this.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Harry has been dreaming of this moment his entire life. Here’s what they write, “’I've actually had a lot of practice for that,’ Harry said. He explained that he's currently the godfather to five or six of his friend's children. Plus, he's also uncle to Prince William's children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. He revealed that his key to developing those relationships is being able to ‘grow up but also to stay in touch with your childhood side.”’

3 He’s More Emotional Than William

While there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Prince William loves his wife Kate Middleton and their family, he’s not the kind of person who will show it. William is very reserved when it comes to showing his emotions in public. Harry, on the other hand, is quite different. He’s definitely more emotional than William and he isn’t afraid to show or talk about his feelings with the world, either.

A father who is emotionally in tune with his family and his children is one that will understand everyone’s needs much better. And we have a feeling that might be the case with Harry.

Plus, Prince Harry has made it no secret that he has his own personal issues and struggles. His mother’s death left him a heavy blow. He was unable to pick himself up for years. He told the Telegraph, “I can safely say that losing my mom at the age of 12, and therefore shutting down all of my emotions for the last 20 years, has had a quite serious effect on not only my personal life but my work as well. Everything can be okay, but I really regret not ever talking about it for the first 28 years of my life. I never talked about it.”

2 Love Comes First For Him

If there is one secret to making a happy marriage last, it’s love. Without the ingredient of love, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding will come crashing down fast. As a young child, Prince Harry witnessed all the turmoil in his parents’ marriage. He was young, but even then he knew that Prince Charles and Princess Diana were leading very separate lives. It wasn’t easy for him, and it definitely wasn’t easy for his brother Prince William. That’s why both princes are doing whatever it takes to make sure their marriages and families are protected.

They don’t want history to repeat itself.

Sure, normal marriages are hard work but being a royal in the public spotlight makes things even harder. That’s why Prince Harry knows that he has to be extra careful in making sure that Meghan’s needs and his children’s emotional needs are always met. He will also have to separate his private life from his public life, as hard as that may be.

Of course, who can ever forget these words from Prince Harry (via Brainy Quotes): “I've longed for kids since I was very, very young. And so... I'm waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job.”

1 He Will Do Things His Way

Throughout the years, royal fans have definitely learned one thing about Prince Harry: he does things his way. Sure, he is a very dedicated member of the royal family and he takes his responsibilities seriously, but he doesn’t let anything get the best of him. He knows he needs to be head-strong at all times.

Plus, Prince Harry knew right off the bat that Meghan Markle would be “the one” for him.

It didn’t take him ten years to decide that he would want to spend the rest of his life with her.

The royal told the BBC last year, “It was hugely refreshing. To be able to get to know someone who isn’t necessarily within your circle, doesn’t know much about me, I don’t know much about her. To be able to start almost afresh right from the beginning in getting to know each other step by step and then taking that huge leap of only two dates and then going effectively on holiday together in the middle of nowhere and sharing a tent together and all that kind of stuff. It was fantastic. It was absolutely amazing to get to know her as quickly as I did.”
