Oh, to be rich and famous. Fancy cars, designer clothing, fancy parties, mansions and frequent get-always to glamorous locations are just a few of the things celebrities enjoy that make the rest of us just a bit jealous. Not only are celebs often rolling in the dough and enjoying elaborate lifestyles, they are some of the most beautiful people on the planet. It's difficult not to envy them...just a little.

It's also seemingly impossible to find anything in common with celebs who are currently enjoying a lavish lifestyle. Despite the fact that many stars enjoy private jets and personal chefs, while the rest of us nosh on cheap take-out and get around in mid-size sedans and minivans, there is one topic where common ground can be found: our children.

Angelina Jolie and Angie from Des Moines can sit down over a cup of coffee and commiserate on the joys and pitfalls of pregnancy and motherhood, even if one of them is sporting a $3,000 watch and the other tells time by squinting hard at her shattered iPhone screen.

Many celebrities mothers have opened up on the topic of pregnancy and motherhood. It's comforting to realize that even those with full-time assistants and unlimited diaper funds find parenthood to be a challenging experience. The next time you're feeling exhausted, worn out and overwhelmed due to your current and everlasting gig as a parent, remember that all of us struggle. Even the seemingly perfect folks we sometimes wish we could trade places with. Read on for 15 celebrity musings on the highs and lows of pregnancy and parenting.

16 Pink

Pink is an edgy singer with a reputation for being a badass, but when it comes to being a mother, she's soft, tender and loving. She has two children with her husband, Carey Hart. The star gave birth to her daughter Willow Sage in 2011, and her son Jameson Moon arrived just this past December.

Pink has said of motherhood, "You hear people say it all the time, how life changes so drastically. But you can't possibly grasp how beautiful that is until you have your child."

This lovely sentiment is a testament to the fact that becoming a parent really does change your perspective on life, for the better. Suddenly, the world is a place you want to make better, if, for no other reason, than for your precious children. Pink isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in or say what she thinks. Her two babies are lucky to have such a strong mama.

15 Christina Applegate

Hilarious and stunning actress Christina Applegate has one daughter with her husband, Martin LeNoble. Sadie Grace LeNoble arrived in January of 2011. Like most mothers, Christina is committed to doing the best she can, despite her misgivings that she's making a ton of mistakes along the way.

She shared with People magazine, "Sometimes I stand there going, 'I'm not doing any of this right!' And then I get this big man belch out of her, and I go, 'Ah, we accomplished this together.'"

That's the thing about parenting: we all learn as we go, and our children don't care if we put their diapers on backwards or sing them lullabies in an off-tune voice. All they want from us is our love. If we adore them like crazy and do our best to figure things out, the rest will fall into place. Plus, every now and then, we'll enjoy a moment of complete satisfaction when we succeed in getting our child to sleep or teaching them to say Mama or Dada.

14 Jennifer Connelly

The gorgeous and graceful Jennifer Connelly is the mother of three beautiful children: son, Kai with producer David Dugan and daughter, Agnes and son, Stellan with her current husband, actor Paul Bettany.

Connelly shared of her pregnancy with daughter Agnes on the Late Show With David Letterman back in 2011, "I had to stand in front of my refrigerator, which was open, dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth. If I did that, I was good. Otherwise I was nauseous."

Yep. That sounds about right. Many of us who have dealt with pregnancy-induced nausea can relate. While it seems counter-intuitive, sometimes consuming the strangest of food combinations is the only way to make the sickness go away. If famous actresses need to resort to extreme methods to get through the first trimester, the rest of us shouldn't regret any means we may need to resort to in order survive, even if that means eating a constant stream of a strange concoctions out of our own refrigerators.

13 Kate Hudson

The ever-gorgeous actress, Kate Hudson is mom to sons Ryder and Bingham. While pregnant with Bingham, she said on the Ellen show, "Everything has been different, which is why I think it's a girl. It definitely doesn't belong to me, this area [points to stomach]; it's all 'hers.'" Despite her intuition that a baby girl was on the way, son Bingham arrived to her delight in 2011.

Hudson later penned an essay for In Style magazine in which she shares, "Some days I feel like I should win Best Mom of the Day award… and some days I find myself doing strange things that don’t have any real purpose, in faraway corners [of] my house, and I realize I am literally and deliberately hiding from my children.”

She continues, "Even though every primal ounce of the nurturing, domestic woman in me gets pulled, I’m a hunter as well. And I love to hunt! And as a woman I feel that somehow we are supposed to feel apologetic about wanting both. But I don’t want to apologize for that anymore. Being both already comes at an emotional cost, without adding society’s antiquated idea of the traditional roles of man and woman in the home.”

Well said, Kate. Let's stop the shaming and stop feeling so damn guilty all of the time. We get enough pressure from society and shouldn't also have to deal with the pressure we put upon ourselves as mothers.

12 Molly Sims

Molly Sims has three children with her husband, Scott Stuber: son, Brooks, daughter, Scarlett and son, Grey. Sims was very candid when she spoke with Today about her struggles with pregnancy and motherhood. She said, "I was very unprepared for how bad I felt. I’m not going to lie; between the heartburn and the nausea and the vomiting and emotion, it’s really hard. I woke up one day and told my husband, ‘I’m not going to make it through this one.’”

Sims continued, "I wish people would talk about the messy times, the hard times, the things where you don’t always look perfect on Instagram. It doesn’t matter if you formula feed, breastfeed, vaccinate, not vaccinate, everyone has a different opinion."

The actress concludes, "Don’t make someone feel so guilty because they’re not doing it the way you want to do it. You’re the captain of your own ship; sometimes you’re going to run it really good and sometimes you’re going to run it through rough waters. That’s real life." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

11 Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (LaValle)

Reality star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has a son Lorenzo and a daughter Giovanna with her hubby Jionni LaValle. When she became a mom, her life was suddenly all about her babies.

After the arrival of her first child, she shared how motherhood had changed her forever with HuffPost Celebrity. She said, "Motherhood is perfect! I always wanted to be a young mom and I thought [at] 26, and I’m going to be 25, so I kind of did it right. And it just changes your life." Snooki added, "I don’t care about partying anymore. I haven’t had a drink in, like, a year! Well, not that long, but I don’t think about that stuff anymore. It’s just about family and my business really.”

She said after recieving mean comments during her second pregancy, "I’ve read a lot of negativity concerning my second pregnancy, and I NEVER comment on what strangers think about my life, but when it concerns my family, something needs to be said. I’m a momma bear and I will stick up for my family until the day I die, and even after that.” You go, girl!

10 Michelle Obama

Former first lady Michelle Obama is the mother of two lovely daughters, Malia and Sasha. The classy and sophisticated former lawyer has shared some advice for overwhelmed working mothers. She said, "It wasn't so long ago that I was a working mom myself. And I know that sometimes, much as we all hate to admit it, it's just easier to park the kids in front of the TV for a few hours so we can pay the bills or do the laundry or just have some peace and quiet for a change."

On a sepearate occasion, Obama shared of parenting "...We just went to Malia’s high school graduation, and we’re watching Sasha move her way through high school. And I am very proud of those two and how they’ve managed this situation and how they have continued to be themselves, regular little girls just trying to figure it out."

Obama continued, "And as all mothers do, you breathe that sigh of relief that you didn’t mess up your kids. And every day I cross my fingers and hope that I’m doing right by them, and I’m providing them with a good foundation so that they can be great people."

9 Alicia Silverstone

Actress Alicia Silverstone has a son, Bear Blu with her musician and radio show host husband Christopher Jarecki. She's known for being a "crunchy" mama, and took heat for feeding her son mother-bird style by chewing up food and spitting it into his mouth. Some of her parenting choices may be controversial, but she's shared some beautiful sentiments on motherhood over the years.

She shared with NJ.com of taking care of yourself as a mom, "It's all about being kind to yourself through being the most well-nourished, healthiest, strongest woman you can be in order to get pregnant with ease, have a blissful pregnancy, beautiful birth, the healthiest and happiest baby, and enjoy the most intimate love-fest of your life with your little nugget."

Alicia couldn't be more spot-on. It's easy for mothers to feel guilty about taking time for themselves, but if moms take the time to make sure they are healthy physically and mentally, it will help them be the best versions of themselves for their children.

8 Tina Fey

Hilarious actress, writer and comedian Tina Fey has two lovely daughters, Alice and Penelope, with husband Jeff Richmond.

She has shared of having a career while simultaneously raising children, "I think every working mom probably feels the same thing: You go through big chunks of time where you're just thinking, 'This is impossible—oh, this is impossible.'" Fey concludes, "And then you just keep going and keep going, and you sort of do the impossible."

She's also said concerning the gratitude she now feels for her own mother, and she knows her daughters will hopefully someday feel for all she's done for them, "My mother did this for me once,' she will realize as she cleans feces off her baby's neck. 'My mother did this for me.' And the delayed gratitude will wash over her as it does each generation and she will make a mental note to call me. And she will forget. But I'll know."

7 Drew Barrymore

Actress Drew Barrymore has two daughters, Olive and Frankie, with her estranged husband Will Kopelman. She relishes the simple joys that come along with being a parent and has opened up often about her experience being a mom.

After her first daughter was born, she said of her experience as a new mother, "You have the highest highs and yet you're facing the biggest fear of, 'How do I keep someone alive?'" Three months into the mom gig, Barrymore shared with Ellen DeGeneres, "I count my lucky stars every day. It's amazing. I never take it for granted."

Barrymore has also mused, "My favorite thing about being a mom is just what a better person it makes you on a daily basis. Every morning when I wake her up, the endgame is, 'Can I get her to smile?' And that puts me in a good mood. It's definitely a different way to live—and a much better one."

6 Halle Berry

Actress Halle Berry has two little ones: daughter, Nahla with ex-husband Gabriel Aubrey and son, Maceo with estranged husband, Olivier Martinez. She told CNN of discovering she was expecting a second child at age 46, "This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth. I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

The star began filming a television show when her second child was just three months old, but she made it work. She said of the experience, "My baby was just 3 months old when we started so I was doing drive by nursings every two hours. I would go into my trailer, nurse for 10 minutes and off I was.”

Berry has also shared on the difference between having a son and a daughter, "Well now that I have a son, I really do see the difference in relationship between having a little girl and having a boy and the special relationship that mothers and sons have.”

5 Beyonce

Beyonce has a daughter, Blue Ivy with her husband, Jay Z, and is expecting twins later this year. She has been open about the fact that she has suffered through the losses of multiple pregnancies.

She bravely shared of her experience on Oprah's Next Chapter, “I felt like there are so many couples that go through that and it was a big part of my story it was one of the hardest things I’ve been through. It’s one of the reasons I did not share I was pregnant the second time and . . . it was hard. So many people go through it and at the end I have my daughter and there is hope and I feel so fortunate.”

Bey has accomplished a lot in her life, but motherhood is still what she considers her greatest accomplishment. She once said of the experience, "Out of everything I've accomplished, my proudest moment, hands-down, was when I gave birth to my daughter, Blue."

4 Haylie Duff

Haylie Duff has one daughter, Ryan Ava with her fiancé Matt Rosenberg. She is one lady who was able to keep things relatively healthy while she had a bun in the oven. She has said of her pregnancy cravings, “I don’t know if it’s because I have somebody else in mind, but I’ve been wanting to eat healthy food. I’ve been craving oranges like crazy! I have a big bowl of them in our kitchen. There’s definitely the occasional craving food in there, but, for the most part, I’m keeping it healthy and simple.”

When her little girl turned one, she mused to People magazine, "To be honest, I’m a really emotional mom. I’ve been updating the baby book, which I’ve been bad about doing because I just put it off for so long. I opened it and was like, ‘Oh, so I haven’t updated this since month two.’ I’ve been catching up a lot and looking back on a lot of things and it just goes by really fast.”

Many mothers will agree that while the days can be grueling, the years seem to fly by way too quickly.

3 Hayden Panetierre

Hayden Panettiere has one daughter, Kaya Evdokia with her pro-boxer beau Wladimir Klitschko. She has courageously admitted to suffering from postpartum depression, hopefully giving other new moms the courage to seek help if suffering. She has said of the condition, "It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal."

Panettiere continued, "There’s a lot of misunderstanding. There’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true. That it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that, ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They brush it off." The actress concluded, "It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support."

The actress also spoke to People magazine about the effect having a baby has had on her. She said, "I’m still trying to figure out what [pregnancy] has done to my body, how it’s changed it. What’s temporary and what’s permanent. I feel like an 80-year-old woman trying to go down the stairs, you know — please tell me this is temporary! But I know some things will never be the same again.”

2 Zooey Deschanel

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel has one daughter, Elsie Otter with her husband, Jacob Pechenik. She was pregnant during some episodes of the hit show, and when her baby bump got too big to conceal, her character was put on jury duty until after she was finished with her maternity leave.

Deschanel shared her thoughts on the many don'ts of pregnancy with Jimmy Kimmel. She said, "You can’t eat so many things when you’re pregnant! If I was vegan, I’d just be like…ohhh. You can’t have sushi. You can’t have cheese that tastes good. You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It’s a total joke! "

Pregnancy can feel majorly restricting for many women who no longer have the freedom of doing whatever they want whenever they want. It's annoying, but it's just part of the job. Parenting is a lifetime of sacrifices made for the child you love more than anything in the world.

1 Mila Kunis

The exquisite and talented actress Mila Kunis has two children with her man, Ashton Kutcher: daughter, Wyatt and brand new son Dimitri. She has shared some pretty strong words for fathers-to-be. Expecting fathers may want to listen up. She's a wise woman.

Kunis ranted on Jimmy Kimmel Live, "Stop saying, 'We're pregnant.' You're not pregnant! Do you have to squeeze a watermelon-sized person out of your lady-hole? No. Are you crying alone in your car listening to a stupid Bette Midler song? No."

She continued, "When you wake up and throw up, is it because you're nurturing a human life? No. It's because you had too many shots of tequila. Do you know how many shots of tequila we had? None. Because we can't have shots of tequila. We can't have anything, because we've got your little love goblin growing inside of us. All you did was roll over and fall asleep."

What she said.
