If there's anything more fascinating than celebrity marriages, it's celebrity breakups (although the cuteness of celebrity kids probably ranks pretty high, too). Celebs, like the rest of us, have a tendency to fall in love (or is it lust?), but unlike the rest of us, they seem to take that love-lust combination and act on it by walking down the aisle time and again. And again. And again.

Las Vegas seems to be a popular destination for impromptu celebrity nuptials (I suppose they like cliches as much as the rest of us). And, unsurprisingly, a hefty portion of these marriages involve couples who tied the knot after knowing each other for less time than I've owned my toothbrush.

So why rush to the altar? Perhaps they get caught up in the publicity of their high-profile relationship. Perhaps it's their hefty bank accounts, which allow them to throw together weddings that are as lavish as they are impulsive. Or maybe their sense of YOLO is a little more extreme than the rest of us.

The beautiful people who grace the covers of fashion and celeb gossip magazines seem to have a propensity for quickie weddings and quickie divorces. And here, laid out for you, are 20 of the shortest celebrity marriages.

18 Jennifer Lopez & Cris Judd - 9 Months

Jennifer Lopez, who needs no introduction, married celebrity choreographer Cris Judd in September 2001. The couple met a year earlier, when Judd was a backup dancer in Jennifer Lopez's video for Love Don't Cost a Thing (that song will now be in your head all day. You're welcome).

The couple's whirlwind romance was followed closely by the media, and Judd - who wasn't a celebrity in his own right - admitted to being overwhelmed by the constant paparazzi attention. In a 2014 interview with US Weekly, Judd described his wedding as "a circus". "I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain ... trying to sneak in," he said. "We actually rented the airspace."

Sadly, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce nine months after the wedding, citing irreconcilable differences.

17 Shannen Doherty & Ashley Hamilton - 5 Months

It's 1993, Beverly Hills 90210 has exploded in popularity, and the stars of this teen drama are suddenly thrust into the spotlight.

Enter Shannen Doherty, the 24-year-old "bad girl" of the cast, who meets and falls for tall, dark and handsome actor Ashley Hamilton (son of actor George Hamilton). Keep in mind, he's 19 at the time.

Filled with the impulsiveness of youth, Ashley and Shannen exchange vows at what is described as a "BYOB" wedding two weeks after the couple first locked eyes. The bride wore a "silk bathrobe" down the aisle (this author could not find photographic evidence, so readers are asked to use their imagination). It was Shannen's second engagement, her first having ended only months earlier when her ex-fiance filed a restraining order against the actress for alleged abuse. This second relationship didn't fare much better than her first engagement, and the couple divorced five months later. Again, because of Shannen's alleged temper.

16 Drew Barrymore & Tom Green - 5 Months

It may seem like one of the strangest couplings in Hollywood: Adorable and feisty former party girl Drew Barrymore, and goofy (and crude) Canadian comedian Tom Green. She: part of the great Barrymore dynasty. He: well...Tom Green.

But, it happened. Drew Barrymore and Tom Green got married in July 2001, two years after the couple first began dating. It was her second marriage (her first ended after only two months). In the brief time that the couple was married, Tom Green was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and Drew Barrymore's Los Angeles home burned down. If this seems like it was a bad omen, it probably was. The couple divorced in December 2001, five months after getting married, citing irreconcilable differences.

The good news is that Drew Barrymore - now happily married with two daughters - bought a new home, and Tom Green successfully fought and overcame his cancer.

15 Sophia Bush & Chad Michael Murray- 5 Months

One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush was 22 when she married handsome co-star Chad Michael Murray (23) at a seaside ceremony in Santa Monica on April 16, 2005. They announced their separation in August, after only five months of marriage. Sophia Bush filed for an annulment on the basis of fraud, which was denied, and the couple ended up officially divorcing in Dec. 2006.

If ever there were a reason not to marry a co-worker, this would be it: The couple had to continue working alongside each other for four more years, until Chad Michael Murray left the show. "When you have to work with somebody for another half a decade, you kind of have to deal with it", Bush admitted in an interview on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. "Because for me, at the end of the day, my job is my priority. We were two stupid kids who had no business being in a relationship in the first place.  To all the other costars who've worked it out, more power to you."

14 Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Esposito - Not Even 5 Months

American Sniper star Bradley Cooper married Blue Bloods actress Jennifer Esposito in December 2006. By May, Jennifer Esposito had filed for divorce.

The pair has been relatively mum on the details of both, the marriage and the circumstances surrounding the split. Esposito recently published a memoir about her struggles with celiac disease and included some passages that were critical of an ex.

"I should have noticed the red flags from the beginning—actually, they were more like an entire marching band squad of red flags—but I ignored them... " she writes. "I didn't necessarily find him that attractive, but I figured that I could enjoy his sense of humor and nonsense for a while." Of course, it's not clear if she's talking about Bradley Cooper. Perhaps we'll never know.

13 Colin Farrell & Amelia Warner - 4 Months

He was 24, a handsome Irish ladies' man and bad boy. She was 19, an English musician and star on the rise. They fell in love. They got married. It didn't last long.

We're talking about Colin Farrell and Amelia Warner, who were married (or were they?) in July 2001 on a beach in Tahiti. Colin even got Amelia's nickname (Millie) tattooed on his ring finger. If only their love was as permanent. As to whether the marriage was ever legally binding, that's actually up for debate.

Amelia Warner asserts it was symbolic only - almost done on a whim - and that it was never performed legally. Amelia is now married to Irish actor named Jamie Dornan (yes, from 50 Shades of Gray) and the couple has two off-the-charts adorable little girls.

12 Renée Zellweger & Kenny Chesney - 4 Months

I don't know if anyone else at the time found this to be a strange pairing, but in May 2005, actress Renee Zellweger married country singer Kenny Chesney in a small ceremony on the Caribbean island of St. John, four months after meeting at a tsunami relief event.

Unfortunately for Kenny and Renee, the marriage was short-lived, and the couple separated only four months later. Renee initially cited "fraud", as the reason for their marriage falling apart, later explaining that the term “fraud” was “simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny's character". Kenny insinuated it was due to "panic" on his part from all the media attention. In the end, their joint agreed-upon reason for divorce wound up being just as ambiguous: "The miscommunication of the objective of their marriage at the start." Huh?

11 Lisa Marie Presley & Nicolas Cage - 3 Months

Here's another strange, short-lived marriage. In August 2002, Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage tied the knot at an oceanside ceremony on the Big Island of Hawaii, 10 days becoming engaged.

It was marriage Number 2 for Nicolas Cage, who’s famously part of the Coppola family of directors, actors and composers. And it was marriage Number 3 for Lisa Marie Presley (daughter of Elvis Presley, of course). Prior to Nicolas Cage, Lisa Marie had been married to Michael Jackson (husband Number 2), whom she married 20 days after splitting from musician Danny Keough (husband Number 1).

Still following? It’s hard, they move fast in Hollywood.

Nicolas and Lisa Marie split up 108 days after their Hawaiian wedding, citing - as most do - irreconcilable differences. It's said that their divorce proceedings lasted longer than their wedding ceremony.

10 Kris Humphries & Kim Kardashian – 72 Days

I'm not sure many people had money on this marriage lasting. If anything, they likely had money on how quickly it would break up. Pessimistic, yes. Realistic? Also yes.

Socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian married basketball player Kris Humphries in a lavish (what else would it have been?) $10 million wedding in August 2011, three months after their engagement. It was Kim's second marriage. I don't know how you plan a wedding of that scale - and one with multiple outfit changes, to boot - in only three months. The wedding preparations got their own two-part TV special. Because, of course they did. Kim Kardashian even released a "wedding fragrance"  called "Kim Kardashian Love."

Anyway, much to the shock of no one, the couple separated 72 days later. Was it all just a publicity stunt? I'm going to say... probably.

9 Chris Kattan & Sunshine Tutt - 59 Days

Former Saturday Night Live comedian Chris Kattan (remember Mango?) married his girlfriend, model-turned-interior designer Sunshine Tutt, in a June 2008 ceremony in Yosemite Valley, California. Less than two months later, the couple split.

It had been a romantic proposal, from the sounds of it. Kattan popped the question on Christmas Eve, and they enjoyed a two-year engagement, which is less common among Hollywood stars, and more typical of the rest of us plebs.

Unfortunately, it still didn’t work out. The pair has kept mum on the details of their short-lived marriage, but there was a prenup involved. It allegedly limited Sunshine Tutt's payout to less than $10,000. After the legal proceedings, however, it's said that she walked away with a six-figure sum. Not a bad consolation prize for a 59-day marriage.

8 Mario Lopez & Ali Landry – 18 Days

It's like they were almost too beautiful to be married to each other. We're talking about model, actress and former Miss USA, Ali Landry, and Saved By the Bell jock Mario Lopez.

The couple met when Lopez was presenting the Miss Teen USA pageant, in which Ali Landry was a commentator. The couple dated for six years (which is two decades in celebrity years) before marrying in a small Catholic ceremony near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on April 23, 2004. Eighteen days later, the marriage was over. But why? Well, it turns out, Ali Landry found out her new husband had been cheating on her. There’s even something out there about a threesome at Lopez’ bachelor party.

Both are now married (not to each other - to new spouses). Mario Lopez married Broadway dancer and actress Courtney Mazza. The couple has two children. Ali Landry married director, Alejandro Gomez Monteverde. They have three children together.

7 Eddie Murphy & Tracey Edmonds – 14 Days

Comedian Eddie Murphy (and baby daddy to a whopping nine kids) married film producer Tracey Edmonds (ex-wife of Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds) in a private ceremony off Bora Bora on Jan. 1, 2008.

A short 14 days later, the couple had called it quits, releasing the following statement: "After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forgo having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further," referring to their Bora Bora wedding merely a "symbolic union".

So... it wasn't legally binding? But she wore a white dress. And had a bouquet. I'll try not to over-analyze it. Either way, they "uncoupled" only 14 days later, earning themselves a comfy spot on this list.

Currently, Eddie Murphy is dating model Paige Butcher, with whom he has a daughter. And Tracey Edmonds is dating athlete and TV sports analyst, Deion Sanders.

6 Gregg Allman & Cher – 9 Days

Now we're getting to the nitty-gritty: Celeb couples whose marriages lasted fewer than two weeks. And there's a bunch of them.

Starting with Cher and Greg Allman.

If you're not in your 50s (sorry, everyone in your 50s), you may be fuzzy on exactly who Allman is: He was a member of the country/rock group the Allman Brothers Band, and has a spot on Rolling Stones Magazine's list of 100 greatest singers of all time.

In 1975, Allman married Cher. The couple married in 1975, four days after Cher's split from Sonny Bono became official. However, Cher filed for divorce from Greg Allman nine days after their wedding (their actual divorce happened four years later, after a couple of attempts at reconciliation).

But it wasn't all for naught: The couple had a son together, Elijah Blue Allman.

5 Dennis Rodman & Carmen Electra – 9 Days

If ever there were a marriage we thought would last longer than nine days...

Eccentric basketball star Dennis Rodman married Baywatch bombshell Carmen Electra at the Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas in November 1998 and split up days later (Electra didn't officially file for divorce until April of the following year). Reasons for the annulment included "fraud" and "an unsound mind" on the part of Dennis Rodman, who was apparently drunk at the wedding. Hindsight is 20-20.

For her part, Carmen Electra, who was going through a family tragedy, and admitted in an interview with Glamour that her marriage to Dennis Rodman was an attempt to numb the pain of losing both her mother and sister within weeks of each other.

"I remember thinking, this is my out. I'm just going to have fun, and I'm not going to worry about anything...When I started going through some really hard times with Dennis, I became addicted to feeling that pain instead of dealing with my feelings about my mom and sister. But at some point, I realized I had to stop blaming him. So I got out of my marriage."

4 Dennis Hopper & Michelle Phillips – 8 Days

Easy Rider star Dennis Hopper and The Mamas & The Papas singer Michelle Phillips, both 60s icons in their own rights, met on the set of "The Last Movie", and got married on Oct. 31, 1970.

It was the second set of nuptials for each of them (they would both be married five times, in the end), and their short-lived marriage was perhaps unsurprising given that Dennis Hopper was a notorious drug addict. It's even said that he woke up the morning after the wedding and didn't recognize his new bride. Don't do drugs.

When Ginny Dougary, a British interviewer, and writer for The Times, asked Dennis Hopper about Michelle Phillips' claims that he handcuffed her to keep her from leaving, Hopper said, "I didn’t handcuff her. I just punched her out.”

I know you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but... doesn't sound like he was a nice guy.

3 Jason Alexander & Britney Spears – 55 Hours

I wonder how many Las Vegas weddings end promptly in annulment? Britney Spears' did, anyway.

The 90s pop star married childhood friend Jason Alexander (not to be confused with George Costanza, obviously) in a spontaneous and – from the sounds of it – alcohol-fueled ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in January 2004.

Two days later, the marriage was annulled, following a petition to the court that stated Spears "lacked understanding of her actions" (like someone bingeing on McDonald’s after a night on the town). Apparently, the couple’s parents, managers, and anyone who knew them were up in arms over the impulsive nuptials (and lack of a prenup), and that was the end of their marriage.

Britney must have been ready for marriage, though, because one month later she met dancer Kevin Federline, and within months they, too, were planning a wedding.

Life moves fast when you're 23, amirite?

2 Felipe de Alba & Zsa Zsa Gabor – 24 Hours

It kind of makes sense that Zsa Zsa Gabor is on this list.

The Hungarian-born actress, socialite, and former Miss Hungary had nine husbands over the course of her life, including Mexican lawyer and part-time actor Felipe de Alba (husband number 8, incidentally), whom she married in 1983.

The problem was that Zsa Zsa Gabor's previous marriage to Michael O'Hara (husband number 7) had not been finalized when she married Felipe de Alba (husband number 8), rendering their union invalid.

I suppose that the couple could have waited until the previous divorce had been made official and then tried again, but they never ended up getting back together, making their marriage the second shortest in celebrity history.

The good news is that Zsa Zsa Gabor’s ninth and final marriage was the one to last. She married entrepreneur Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt (who was 28 years her junior) in 1986, and they stayed together until her death 30 years later.

1 Rudolph Valentino & Jean Acker – 6 Hours

And here we are at the end of the list, and the celebrity couple whose entire marriage came and went so quickly that if you had taken a nap at the time, you might have missed it.

Jean Acker and Rudolph Valentino (a.k.a. "the Latin Lover") were silent film stars who met, fell in love and were married, all within a two-month span in. The couple was married on Nov. 6, 1919, and things went downhill instantly. Jean Acker apparently locked her new husband out of their hotel room, and Valentino basically turned around and filed for divorce.

Undeterred by love, Rudolph Valentino then went and married a new woman before his divorce to Jean Acker had been finalized, leading her to sue him for bigamy. In the end, they were able to mend their friendship. Jean Acker actually came out as gay and spent the rest of her life with her partner, Chloe Carter.
