As a twin mom, I know firsthand how completely difficult it is to name two babies at the same time. My first two kids were named before they were born. The twins? Not so much. I'm not sure if it was the fact that we used the names we had envisioned since childhood on our first two kids or if naming two at a time was really as hard as we thought.

First of all, if you don't find out the sex or want to decide on names before your 20 week ultrasound, you have to come up with three separate combinations. This could mean deciding definitely on six different baby names. We quickly felt like we were an anomaly and didn't have anyone to turn to for guidance.

Turns out, twins were more common than we thought, especially in Hollywood. There were so many adorable pairings of baby names that celebs probably paid those fancy baby namers to pick out. We loved all the ways two baby names could fit together. Did we do matchy matchy? Did we do rhyming? Completely different? Starting with same letter? Same amount of syllables?

Needless to say, it took us nearly nine months to agree on a pair. We decided we wanted something naturey and went with Willow Diane and Lake Cassidy for our twin girls. We loved them and hoped they sounded as incredible as the storybook names from the red carpet.

Here are a few of our favorite celebrity twin names that we considered, but didn't quite make the cut:

20 Roman And Adele

'80s teen star, Molly Ringwald, had a set of adorable boy and girl twins in 2009 with quite the romantic baby names. The actress named her adorable pair Roman Stylianos and Adele Georgiana.

Ringwald had her twins with husband Panio Gianopoulos. The couple drew their inspiration for their daughter, Adele's, name from Ringwald's mother. The twins' names flow well with their older sister's name, Mathilda Ereni.

The name Adele is a french diminutive of Adelaide which means "noble, nobility." The name was both a saint's and royal name as the name of the youngest daughter of William the Conqueror. The name currently ranks on Nameberry in spot #283.

The name Roman means "a citizen of Rome" -- but it originates as a Latin name. The name was also chosen by celebrities Cate Blanchett and Debra Messing prior to Ringwald's twins' birth. Currently, the name is ranked in spot #46 on Nameberry.

19 Charlie And Dolly

Holy macaroni. Nothing gets cuter than these girl/girl twin names by celebrity couple Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell.

Not only are the first names cute as pie -- wait until you hear the middle names. The celebrity couple chose three names for their girly duo: Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose. Seriously, the cutest.

Romijn chose the name Dolly after being a lifelong Dolly Parton fan. The actress met Dolly Parton while pregnant at Dollywood and told the country singer she was naming her daughter after her. Parton sent her a letter later letting her know her middle name was Rebecca and she should name her daughter Dolly Rebecca to tie both of their names together.

The name Dolly -- meaning "gift of God" -- is a diminutive of Dorothy. Right now, the name ranks in spot #909 on Nameberry.

The girls' name Charlie -- meaning "free man" -- sits low on the list as well at slot #709.

18 Darby And Sullivan

Actor Patrick Dempsey named his twin boys names only fit for a C.S. Lewis novel -- Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick.

The fraternal twins were born in 2007 to parents Dempsey and his wife Jillian. The names also go quite perfectly with the boys' older sister's name -- Talula who helped pick out which boy would have which name. The Dempseys had no real inspiration for the names other than just being names they liked at the time.

The name Darby is a unisex name meaning "free one or from the deer estate." The name is of Irish or Norse origin. Surprisingly, the name is still quite undiscovered since it sits at spot #2854 on Nameberry.

The name Sullivan oddly means "the black-eyed one" and is also Irish but as a surname. The name is currently the third most common surname in Ireland but ranks rather middle of the road in the U.S. in spot #406.

17 Valentino And Matteo

The world swooned over Ricky Martin and not much has changed when it comes to his twin boys, Valentino and Matteo.

The Puerto Rican star has his pair of boys via a surrogate in 2008. Initially, Martin was a single father to the boys, however, last year Martin proposed to Syrian Swedish painter Jwan Yosef and the two are currently engaged.

The name Valentino is a Latin name meaning "strength, health." Valentino is the name of an early Roman saint, whose feast day marks the beginning of spring. Right now, the Italian surname ranks at #864 on Nameberry.

The name Matteo is an Italian version of Matthew and means "gift of God." Martin is not the only celeb with a boy named Matteo -- actors Colin Firth, Benjamin Bratt and Tom Colicchios all have sons with a version of the name. Currently, the name ranks in spot #199 in the U.S., but ranks much higher in other countries around the world.

16 Marion And Tabitha

Leave it to one of the leads from Hocus Pocus to have names that remind me of the most adorable little witches -- Marion and Tabitha.

The adorable duo belong to celebrity A-Listers Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker. The couple welcomed their twins in 2009 via a surrogate. Not only do they have the sweetest first names -- the twins' last names are equally sugary: Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge. Elwell and Hodge are family names from Broderick's side of the family.

The name Tabitha -- meaning "gazelle" -- is of A+ramaic origin. One of the most famous Tabithas (and the reason it reminds me of a baby witch) is the little daughter of Bewitched's famous leading witch, Samantha. The name is currently ranking at #279 on the charts.

Marion is a variation of the French name Marian which means "bitter." The name is much lesser known than Tabitha and currently sits at slot #1432 on the charts.

15 Gideon And Harper

One way to make twin names go together swimmingly that I never thought of is to name them in alphabetic order -- like this angelic duo Gideon Scott and Harper Grace.

The twins are the offspring of megastar Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka. The two had their babies via surrogate six years ago. Yes, they each fathered a child (via IVF) and both were carried simultaneously inside the surrogate until term. However, Harris and Burtka do not know which baby was fathered by whom, though they have their suspicions.

Burtka told Wendy Williams on her talk show he believes Gideon was fathered by Harris because “He’s a little more heady and intellectual.”

The name Gideon oddly means "hewer; or, having a stump for a hand" and is of Hebrew origin. Even with the morbid meaning, the name is consistently getting more popular and currently ranks in spot #59.

The name Harper -- meaning "harp player" -- is of English origin and losing a little ground on the charts at slot #173.

14 Esther And Stella

This might be my favorite pairing on the list and screams of Esther and Stella's mega pop star mother, the one and only, Madonna.

The pop star recently adopted the twin four-year old girls from Malawi. Madonna found the girls at the orphanage Home of Hope where she previously adopted her older son David in 2006. Madonna's other adopted daughter, Mercy, was also from Malawi.

The twins' birth mother died days after giving birth to Esther and Stella and the girls' father was unable to financially support them. Their heartbreaking story warmed the singer's heart and she quickly took them home to join her other four children.

The name Esther -- meaning "star" -- is of Persian origin. The name currently holds the #212 spot on Nameberry.

The name Stella -- adorably also meaning "star" -- is of Latin origin and ranks at #46.

13 Tristan And Sasha

With genes from their equally gorgeous parents, twin boys Tristan and Sasha are destined for the limelight like their actor dad, Chris Hemsworth, and model mom, Elsa Petaky.

These babies' gene pools are glistening like the Fountain of Youth with such jaw-dropping beauty in their bloodstreams. The blonde-haired hunks just turned three and already resemble their star parents quite remarkably.

The Thor actor seems to really being doing well in fatherhood since he can be spotted frequently on his wife's Instagram racing through his home in superhero costumes with his matching sons.

The name Tristan is a unisex name meaning "noise or sorrowful." It comes from Celtic origin and can be traced back to epic warrior status (just like roles Dad plays) like Tristan, the dragon-slaying hero of Celtic legends. Currently, the name is on Nameberry at #248.

The name Sasha -- also a unisex name -- means "defending men." The name is a bit more uncommon than Tristan, coming in at #1477.

12 Cy And Bowie

Cy and Bowie sound straight out of a rock and roll group from the '80s, but in a cute, baby kind of way. We would expect nothing less from Guardians of the Galaxy beauty Zoe Saldana.

Saldana and her Italian artist husband, Marc Perego, had quite the scare welcoming the boys into the world in 2014. Saldana knew things were going downhill a few months before her due date when her health began to fail. Doctors performed a c-section on the starlet at 32 weeks, which was terrifying for both parents.

"Looking back, I think the boys were three or four months old, and one morning I woke up with just this flood of emotions. Marco had them, too, and we were able to have our deconstruction session in the bathroom while they were napping, to say to each other, ‘Holy s---, did we come close to it all changing forever?’" said Saldana.

The name Cy is a diminuitive of Cyrus which means "throne." The name is currently in spot #737 on Nameberry.

The rock-inspired name Bowie means "blond" and is of Scottish decent. The name is ranked #336.

11 Moroccan And Monroe

Leave it to the beautifully talented Mariah Carey to pull off baby twin names starting with the same letter -- she and ex-husband Nick Cannon nailed it perfectly with Moroccan and Monroe.

Not only are the babies' names the absolute cutest -- their nicknames might be even cuter: Roc and Roe. Seriously. Can Mariah pick out a new name for me?

But, really, Moroccan and Monroe are set up for stardom with such supersized names. They might not be grown up, but they already have a brand. Carey and Cannon have titled them Dem Babies and the twins already have their own website as well as a Tumblr page and mega fan following -- just like Mom and Dad.

The name Moroccan is a word name meaning a person who lives in Morocco. Currently, the name is undiscovered in spot #5245.

The name Monroe means "mouth of the Roe River." It is of Scottish origin and currently ranks in spot #1273.

10 Max And Emme

Unlike their parents' larger than life stage presence, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's twins Max and Emme share sweetly understated names.

The two showstopping cuties can be seen quite regularly on mommy, JLo's Instagram page. Not surprisingly, the singer's life was quickly changed when she welcomed this boy and girl duo into the world nine years ago.

"They saved me by showing me what real love was," she also told TODAY Parents. "It changed my perspective on love completely."

The name Max is becoming wildly popular these days for both boys and girls. This is especially true in celebrity world with Christina Aguilera, Cynthia Nixon and Charlie Sheen all having kids with the same name. The name is an English and German diminutive of Maximilian or Maxwell meaning "greatest." Right now, the name is sitting steady at spot #218.

Emme is an American invented name and a homonym of Emmy. The meaning of the name is "universal" and currently the name is ranked #682.

9 Knox And Vivienne

It's only appropriate that the ex-Most Beautiful Couple in the world has two of the most beautiful baby names for their growing twins.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be no more, but their baby names will stand the test of time with boy and girl twins Knox and Vivienne.

The twins will be 8 years old this year and already exude their parents' A-List, cover-of-People beauty. The twins joined the Jolie-Pitt brood in 2009 and their mother said things have been crazy and lovely ever since.

"It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time," Jolie said.

Pitt had a little bit of different thoughts on their large brood of children.

"[It's] still a cuckoo's nest," he said.

The name Knox is of Scottish origin and means "round hill." The name is gaining popularity since the birth of the A-List baby and sits at spot #98.

The name Vivienne is a classic French baby name meaning "life." Right now, the name is idle at #138.

8 Phinnaeus And Hazel

Leave it to America's Sweetheart, Julia Roberts, to come up with the most magical pairing of names for her boy and girl twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel.

The babies will be 13 this year, but their names are still as adorable as ever. The starlet had her twins with husband, Danny Moder in 2004.

Roberts explained her inspiration behind these classic baby names.

"Hazel is an old-fashioned name, and she’s a strong, perfect Hazel,” Julia noted during a Tuesday appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

She also went on record for where the name Phinnaeus came from.

"My husband wanted to name him Finn, which I quite liked, but it seemed like a nickname…So I said we had to have a proper name, and then we can call him Finn," Roberts said.

The name Hazel -- meaning "of the hazelnut tree" -- is of English origin and currently ranks in spot #16 on the Nameberry charts.

Phinnaeus means "oracle" and is a bit less common than Hazel. The name -- single handedly revived by Roberts herself -- ranks at spot #1951 today.

7 Zoë And Blake

They are simple, quaint and somewhat unisex, but we are loving the twin girls' names thought up by Kevin Zegers and Jaime Feld.

While not completely unique, the two names don't even seem to have much in common, however, once you hear Zoe Madison and Blake Everleigh together you can't picture these two adorable girls' names apart.

The former "Gracepoint" and "Gossip Girl" star, Zegers, welcomed his fraternal twin girls in 2015 after trying for a very long time with his wife to get pregnant.

The name Zoë is of Greek origin and means "life." The name has become very popular thanks to doe-eyed funny woman Zooey Deschanel. Right now, the name cracks the top 100 on Nameberry at #74.

The name Blake is unisex -- tends to be more masculine -- and means "fair-haired, dark." This name also has a gorgeous celebrity with the same name -- Blake Lively. Right now, the girls' name is ranked at #823.

6 Walker And Henry

I don't know if I think rugged cowboys or handsome leading men -- whichever the case, we are loving the combination of Walker and Henry for actor, Matt Bomer's twin sons.

The White Collar star's boys will be turning nine this year and are just as handsome as their dad. They made a very flattering addition to Bomer's family with publicist, Simon Halls. The pair already had a son, Kit who is three years older than the twins. Kit, Walker and Henry -- this is about as cute as it gets.

The name Walker has been gaining ground in recent years. The name means "cloth-walker" and is an English occupational name. Right now, the name is ranked at #1032 but ebbs and flows as years go by.

Henry is a classic name that has also been revived recently. The German name means "estate ruler" and can be seen at slot #11 on Nameberry, today.

5 Amani And Aisha

Sports star, Mo Farah, has also pulled off twin names starting with the same letter. Only these two beauties also have the same amount of syllables in their names.

The long distance runner from the UK named his pair of girls Amani and Aisha. While they both have different personalities, Farah says his girls are following in his quick footsteps.

“One is calm and one is outgoing but they both love running around. I don’t know whether it’s because of their dad or it’s instilled in them but they both love running. Amani is quite petite and has got the build of a long distance runner and can just run and run and run. Aisha is very quick so if anything she might be a sprinter, that’s what we figured," Farah said.

The name Amani means "faith" and is a variation of the Arabic name Imani. Currently, the name is in spot #1480 on Nameberry.

The name Aisha means "living, prosperous" and is also of Arabic or Swahili descent. Right now, the name is #1058.

4 Eddie And Nelson

Can't you just picture two little boys named Eddie and Nelson out on the soccer field giving sweaty little high fives? No? Well, maybe that was what Celine Dion and her late husband René Angélil had in mind.

Actually, it would be something much more intellectual and inspiring for the mega singing sensation. Turns out her sweet, fraternal, seven-year old boys were named after Celine's favorite Algerian singer Eddie Marnay and the late and historic Nelson Mandela.

Since Angélil's death, Dion has been making the most of single motherhood by taking her boys on as many trips to places like Disneyland as possible.

The name Eddie is a diminutive of Edward which appropriately means "wealthy." Normally, Edward is the name ochosen for new babies, however, Eddit still charts in spot #1138.

The name Nelson -- made popular by Mandela for more than just Dion - means "son of Neil." Right now, the English name ranks at #622.

3 Myla And Charlene

He may sometimes play in pairs on the tennis court, but Roger Federer never did better than with his duo of adorableness that are his twin girls.

Federer and his wife Mirka's daughters Charlene Riva and Myla Rose will be turning eight this summer. Even though the girls are far from the 17-time Grand Slam winner their father is, he has taught them from day one how to be the best they can be.

“I have had those conversations with them, you know, that hard work brings you somewhere,” Federer said. “I told them the other day they can be anything they would want to be as long as they work hard at it. It's not going to happen when you wake up one morning.”

The name Charlene means "free man" and is the feminine form of Charles. Right now, the name is ranked #1475 on Nameberry.

The name Myla means "soldier or merciful" and is the feminine variation of Milo. This name is #564 on the charts.

2 Jacques And Gabriella

Initially, the names may seem straight out of a soap opera, but once you learn they are royal babies, it all makes much more sense.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco welcomed their fraternal boy/girl twins three years ago. Surprisingly, due to monarchy rules, even though little Gabriella is minutes older than her brother, Jacques is actually next in line for the throne to Monaco.

The adorable twosome cane be seen doing good deeds during their birthday month of December as the two work each year with their royal parents to spread Christmas cheer.

The name Jacques means "supplanter" and is a French variation of James and Jacob. Currently, the name is in spot #1307 on Nameberry.

Gabriella means "God is my strength" and is the Italian feminine variation of Gabriel. Right now, the name is ranked #300. Some of the name's popularity is due to Gabriella, one of the main stars on High School Musical.

1 John And Gus

We are loving the simple, one syllable and masculine names "Modern Family" star Julie Bowen picked for her adorable twin boys.

The blonde-haired funny lady welcomed her boys with real estate investor husband Scott Phillips. Bowen famously joked about her trying to master breastfeeding both boys at the same time in a dual football hold. She took a picture to show the ladies of "The View" but producers dropped the photo. However, George Lopez was happy to plaster the photo across his stage while Bowen was being interviewed.

The classic name John means "God is gracious." It is of Hebrew origin and continuously holds its own on the charts with it ranking #38, currently.

The name Gus is also one we've heard before, but paired with John, it's so darn cute. It's a diminutive of many names like August or Augustus and isn't quite as popular as John but still ranks at #558.
