In the case of Pink, the singer was always a rebellious girl who seemed to be always in trouble, so when she and her husband Carey discovered that their first baby would be a girl the singer was extremely nervous.

During an interview with Ellen Degeneres, Pink revealed that she was pregnant and that she was expecting a baby girl. "My mum has always wished me a daughter just like me," she said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010. "I'm [anxious] one of us will go to jail."

During an interview with Us Weekly, Pink confessed that she see her 6-year-old and she just wants to give her the knowledge that she already knows. She explained during the interview that  "You can't borrow somebody else's knowledge, you have to buy your own. I know that too. It sucks when you're a mom. I don't want my kids to buy their own knowledge, I just want them to swallow mine."

During her Truth About Love Tour, Willow was 14 months, and Pink would come right offstage and breastfeed her. That was their bonding time and some of her favorite moments. But now that her daughter is older, Pink explained during an interview that she asked her if she wanted to come with mommy during her tour.

Pink explained that this is the first time Willow is leaving behind friends and school, so she asked her if she wanted to do this because they make family decisions.

"When touring stops working for the kids, if they decide they just want to be home and have a normal life, whatever that means, I'll stop because they are by far the priority."

But she thinks it's cool that they get to see their mom be the boss, and work really hard to realize a dream.

Today children are more aware of equality regardless of gender, color or race, and these values are important for the Hart family. In fact, Pink and her husband always try to remind their children about the importance of love and respect.

During an interview with Sunday, People Pink shared a conversation she recently had with her daughter. "Last week Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman," said Pink. "I was like, 'Great, can you teach me how to make African food?' she continued saying "And she's like, 'Sure Mama, and we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.'"

She also commended a school that had gender-neutral toilets."The bathroom outside the kindergarten said, 'Gender Neutral – anybody', and it was a drawing of many different shapes," she said. "I took a picture of it and wrote, 'Progress'. I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation."

But the Hart do not just worry about teaching their children about gender equality. Pink and her husband encourage their children to do activities that can help others.

Last year the singer shared on her Instagram a photo of her daughter and her first lemonade stand. Pink helped Willow set up a stand with homemade chocolate chip cookies to boot, and along with the picture she wrote

"Willow's first lemonade stand. She's been asking me for months. She wants to donate the $ to a "high kill shelter". I didn't have the heart to tell her that that wouldn't be a good idea lol. So we're donating to a "no kill shelter". She made the lemonade with hand squeezed fresh lemons (39 of them) and homemade chocolate chip marshmallow surprise cookies.
