Michael Jackson was undoubtedly one of the biggest musical geniuses this world got to witness. But recently, his legacy has, once again, come under the spotlight in the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland. The accusations Wade Robson and Jimmy Safechuck have come forward with definitely seem to have changed the way a lot of people feel about the King of Pop's art, with many stations around the world refusing to play his music anymore.

Michael's own kids have always claimed that their dad was nothing but a kind, loving, and generous father who gave them everything they could dream of, but today we wanted to take a look at all the other kids Michael Jackson used to hang out with — and there's quite a list. From the late '80s all throughout the '90s until the early '00s, Micheal was repeatedly photographed with kids who'd hang out with him, accompany him on his world tours, or go to different amusement parks with the star. Plenty of them also claimed to have often been guests at the Neverland ranch and had sleepovers with the late King of Pop.

Here they are, 20 photos of superstar Michael Jackson with children who are not his own.

20 Here's Michael With Jimmy Safechuck

Anyone who watched the Leaving Neverland documentary is very familiar with this face: Jimmy Safechuck. Whether you believe his allegations or not, one thing is undeniable — Michael and Jimmy spent a lot of time together in the '90s. According to Independent, Jimmy, who was raised in L.A., met Michael at the set of a Pepsi commercial at the age of eight. MJandboys writes how after the commercial, Michael wanted to stay in touch with Jimmy and would frequently write him letters as well as call him on the phone. Besides Jimmy, Michael also became very close to the whole Safechuck family.

19 And With Jordan Chandler

At the age of 13, Jordan Chandler was the first boy to come forward with accusations against Michael, which led to an investigation against the King of Pop in the mid-'90s. The accusations resulted in a settlement between Jackson and the Chandler family, which according to The Sun is reported to have been between $20 million and $24 million. Just as with Jimmy Safechuck, Jordan has also been seen with Michael a bunch of times, making people across the globe wonder why a grown-up surrounded himself with young kids so much. Jordan and Michael met in 1992 at a fan meeting.

18 He Also Hung Out With Lily Chandler

Since we mentioned Jordan Chandler, let's also bring up the fact that Michael was close to his sister Lily. While Michael would mainly hang out with boys, if the boys had a sister, the sister would always be allowed to tag along. Again, anyone who saw the Leaving Neverland documentary remembers Wade Robson's sister Chantal, who often had sleepovers at the Neverland ranch, as well. Anyway, here's a very young Lily in the arms or a rather odd-looking Michael during his face-mask phase. While she seems totally relaxed, we can't help but feel slightly weirded out by this image.

17 Here's Michael With Omer Bhatti

Omer Bhatti, who now goes by the stage name O-Bee, is a rapper and dancer from Norway. However, his fame started when he, just like many other boys on this list, became Michael's young friend. Omer was (and still is) an amazing dancer, who caught Michael's attention exactly with that — by impersonating the King of Pop's dance moves. According to MJ Facts, Michael's father Joe even claimed that Omer is Michael's secret son, by saying things like, "he looks like a Jackson, he acts like a Jackson, and he can dance like a Jackson." While Omer did copy Michael's fashion and makeup, there has never been any proof that they are related.

16 And With Anton Schleiter

Anton Schleiter is one of those boys most people haven't heard of. He started hanging out with Michael in the late '90s, and there are plenty of paparazzi pics of the two together. Here they are on a balcony greeting Michael's fans, who have probably been waiting for hours to get a glimpse of their superstar. According to MJandboys, Michael met 12-year-old Anton backstage at a show in Germany, and right away the two became close friends. Anton and Michael would frequently take trips together and have plenty of fun — especially in amusement parks, which both were huge fans of. MJandboys even claims how the time the two have spent together inspired Michael to write the song “Speechless.”

15 He Was Also Close With Frank Cascio

Alright, now let's move on to the Cascio brothers. Frank, who met Michael when he was a toddler in the '80s, felt he knew the King of Pop so well that he even released a book about their friendship. In fact, in the book, Frank even goes on to say how Michael was a second father, big brother, boss, mentor, and teacher, but most of all he was a friend to him. In the photo above, you can see the two engage in shenanigans on a balcony, and frankly, we can't help but wonder how these kids weren't freaked out by Michael's masks.

14 As Well As Eddie Cascio

Michael was also very close to Frank's younger brother Eddie, and in the photo above you can see the two sporting matching looks. According to MJandboys, Michael met Eddie and his brothers through their father, Dominic Cascio. Dominic, who was working as the general manager of the Helmsley Palace Hotel in New York back in the '80s, knew Michael because he was a regular visitor. On one occasion, Michael asked him whether he had any children, and soon after, the Cascio boys got to meet the King of Pop. Since then, all three boys were frequently photographed hanging out with Michael.

13 And The Third Brother, Dominic Cascio

Lastly, here's also a photo of Michael with the youngest Cascio brother, Dominic. We have to state that the Cascio brothers are one of the earliest and longest friendships on this list. Most of the other children Michael met in the '90s when he was already long-time friends with the Cascios. Like many other boys on our list, the Cascio boys also toured with Michael, which means the four got to spend plenty of time together. It is slightly disturbing how all of these parents were completely fine with their children traveling the world with Michael at such young ages.

12 Here's Michael With Emmanuel Lewis

A famous name on our list many might recognize is Emmanuel Lewis. The child actor became popular as the title character in the 1980s television sitcom Webster, and — surprise, surprise — Michael was clearly also a fan. MJandboys writes how Michael and Emmanuel met after the boy was invited by Michael to the set of "Thriller" in 1983, after which the friendship between the King of Pop and the 12-year-old boy began. The two friends used to have plenty of fun together, which was all documented in photos as well as videos of Michael teaching little Emmanuel his signature dance moves.

11 And With Gavin Arvizo

Gavin Arvizo was the second child who brought forward allegations against Michael Jackson, which resulted in a trial against the King of Pop during 2004-2005. I News writes how Gavin Arvizo first became known to the public in Martin Bashir’s 2003 documentary about Jackson, Living With Michael Jackson. Gavin had health problems when he was a child, and he met Michael during a hospital visit. After that, the 10-year-old and Michael became quite close, and Michael would frequently send the boy gifts. The Leaving Neverland director, Dan Reed, even tried to contact Gavin in hopes of him agreeing to be a part of the documentary, but he never got any response.

10 He Also Liked To Hang Out With Brett Barnes

Brett Barnes is another boy Michael met at a very young age. According to The Sun, Brett met Michael Jackson in 1987 at the age of five, when he wrote a fan letter and slipped it to one of Jackson's back-up dancers during a concert. Michael and Brett kept their friendship throughout the years, and Brett even testified as one of Michael's witnesses during the 2005 trial. In all the interviews Brett did as a grown up, he never had anything but words of praise and love for the late singer. Back in the '90s, Brett was often photographed out and about with the Kind of Pop.

9 Look At Michael With Anton Glanzelius

Anton Glanzelius is an actor from Sweden best known for his role in the drama film My Life As A Dog. Michael, who was a big fan of the movie, reached out to the child star, and soon after the two met in person. According to Anton's interviews, Michael was always very kind to him, and Anton even got to meet Jackson's pet chimpanzee, Bubbles. Whenever Michael was in Sweden, the two would go to an amusement park and have plenty of fun together on roller coasters — which were Michael's favorite! And yes, the photo above is from one of their fun amusement park adventures.

8 And With Sean Lennon

Sean Lennon, the son of John Lennon, was also one of Michael's close friends for a period of time. MJandboys writes how Sean, who lost his father at the age of five, met Michael three years later. According to the same source, Michael felt very sorry for Sean and tried to be somewhat of a father figure to him. While there aren't too many photos of the two together, there are enough to prove that the two did hang out and have lots of fun together. Sean, who's now a successful musician, songwriter, and actor, was also featured in Michael Jackson's 1988 Moonwalker.

7 Michael Also Knew Young Aaron Carter

In 2001, when the singer (and brother of Backstreet Boy heartthrob Nick) Aaron Carter was 14 years old, he met Michael Jackson. According to MJandboys, the two met at the recording studio while singing the charity song “What More Can I Give” and their friendship lasted for about three years following that. Aaron would visit Michael at the ranch, and Michael even invited Aaron to perform at his 30th-anniversary celebration in Madison Square Garden. While Aaron slowly stopped hanging out with Michael the older he got, he also never really said anything bad about the King of Pop in his interviews.

6 And Here He Is With Michael Jacobshagen

After HBO's documentary Leaving Neverland aired, author Michael Jacobshagen, who is now 35, also came forward with the same allegations against the King of Pop. According to The Sun, Jacobshagen met Michael Jackson in Paris back in 1995 and was invited on Jackson's European tour two years later. The two Michaels spent weeks together on tour, and there's plenty of pics of them leaving and entering hotels together. We still wonder how these kids weren't totally creeped out by Michael's masks. Either way, Jacobshagen is another underage boy on our list whom Michael befriended and was very close with for a couple of years.

5 Michael Was Friends With Jonathan Spence

Jonathan Spence is one of Michael's young friends who was at some point even called "the mystery boy," as the media didn't and still doesn't know much about him. According to MJfacts, Michael and Jonathan were close friends from 1984 to 1987, meaning that Jonathan was one of the first few boys Michael was hanging out with in public. MJandboys writes how in 1984, 11-year-old Jonathan Spence visited Disneyworld with Michael Jackson and his then 9-year-old friend Sean Lennon (whom we already mentioned). At the time, Michael hadn't purchased Neverland Ranch yet, so Jonathan would visit him at his Hayvenhurst house.

4 And With Terry George

According to The Sun, Terry George is now a multimillionaire property developer who had a close relationship with Michel Jackson in the late '70s - early '80s. Terry is also one of Michael's old friends who came forward with some allegations against the late star. Terry met 21-year-old Michael Jackson at a hotel in 1979 when he was only 13 years old. The two hung out a lot at the time, and Terry claims the King of Pop would call him on his phone three times a week at 9 p.m. In the Louis Theroux interview that Terry did in the early 2000s, he stated how he had racked up a £300 phone bill and his parents decided to cut the phone off.

3 And, Of Course, Who Could Forget Macaulay Culkin?

Actor and child star Macaulay Culkin was one of Michael's most famous young friends, and he even testified in the 2005 trial against the King of Pop. Michael and Macaulay became friends after Home Alone came out, and who could forget Macaulay starring in Jackson's 1991 "Black or White" music video. Macaulay has always claimed the accusations against Michael were absolutely ridiculous, and their friendship was so strong that Macaulay is also the godfather of Jackson's three children, Paris Jackson, Prince, and Michael Jr. Of course, there are plenty of photos of the two having fun together back in the '90s.

2 Here's Michael With Wade Robson

Anyone who watched Leaving Neverland already knows this boy: Wade Robson. Wade, who is a very successful dancer and choreographer that directed music videos and tours for acts such as NSYNC and Britney Spears, met Michael at the age of five after he won a dance contest in Australia. After that, the two had no contact for about two years but reconnected once Wade moved to the U.S.A. Wade appeared in three Michael Jackson music videos: "Black or White," "Jam," and "Heal the World." Even though he testified for Michael in the 2005 trial, he came forward with accusations against the King of Pop in 2013.

1 And Lastly, With All The Kids In His Performances

While there are still many other kids Michael was photographed with who are not his own, we wanted to wrap the list up with all the kids who performed with Jackson, whether that was on stage or in his music videos. One thing is clear: Regardless of whether you believe any of the allegations or not, Michael Jackson loved surrounding himself with young children. Frankly, we can't think of any other artist who so publicly declared their love for children, and who was seen and photographed with this many kids. The fact that there have been kids and adults who have come forward with accusations against the late superstar doesn't shine a positive light on all these images.
