Millennials were blessed with one of the most iconic TV shows when The Hills debuted in 2006. The show ran for five seasons until 2010 and was first advertised as a spin-off of the very popular Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

The Hills originally followed a group of wealthy friends as they tried to make a name for themselves in Los Angeles. For the first four seasons, the show focused on Lauren Conrad, who was establishing herself in the fashion industry. It also followed her equally dramatic friends, including Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, and Heidi Montag. Lauren eventually left the show in its fourth season, and Kristin Cavallari was later introduced to replace the blonde heroine, although the drama just kept on coming.

It’s been almost 10 years since The Hills was off the air. Now that MTV has confirmed a reboot of the reality show will be debuting this year (and much of the original cast has agreed to be featured), fans are more curious than ever to know what the beloved reality stars have been up to. For many of them, they’ve settled down and started a family since stepping away from the spotlight. Keep reading to see which Hills ladies finally have babies and to learn which kiddos fans are likely to see on the reboot.

20 Lauren Says She's A "Flexible" Mom

Fans were disappointed when it was announced Lauren Conrad hadn’t signed on to The Hills reboot, debuting sometime this year. But nowadays, the former reality star is too busy taking care of her 1-year-old son, Liam, and running her fashion lines, including LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown.

What’s Lauren’s advice for balancing such a hectic schedule? You’ve got to remain flexible. “I think the one thing we learned very quickly is that if you make a plan and you really want to stick to it, it can become frustrating,” she told Pure Wow. “So you want to be flexible with your child… because every child is different and you don’t know what your challenges are going to be. You don’t really know what you’re in for until you’re there.”

19 Audrina's Life Sure Has Changed

Audrina Patridge is now the mom to an adorable little girl, 3-year-old Kirra, whom she shares with her ex-husband Corey Bohan.

The former couple, who dated for eight and a half years before walking down the aisle, went through a tumultuous break-up after Audrina filed for divorce after less than a year of marriage. She also simultaneously filed a restraining order against him.

The parents hurled accusations back and forth before reaching a divorce and custody settlement last year. Audrina had once wanted only visitation rights for Corey, although the two now split custody 50/50. Most recently, last month a judge ruled that Audrina couldn’t let her daughter appear on The Hills reboot, as it was against her father’s wishes.

18 Heidi Has A Lot Of Rules For Her Son

Given how wild and carefree Speidi has always seemed, it’s been interesting to hear the couple admit that they’re strict parents with their little boy. Heidi has even said she doesn’t want Gunner repeating some of the mistakes they made in their heyday, which explains they lean on the tougher side of things.

"I'll make rules, but I will also explain them, so my child understands why each one is in place." Heidi once explained, Hello reports. Her husband added, "Heidi will be the disciplinarian. She'll only let them listen to Christian music, never my trap music! And she hates swearing, so that won't be allowed."

17 Whitney Can't Stand When Her Baby Cries

Whitney Port and her husband Tim Rosenman were married in 2015 after dating for several years. Together, the couple shares a 2-year-old son named Sonny. Nowadays, Whitney is most active on her fashion and lifestyle website, where she isn’t afraid to update fans about the realities of parenting.

She has said that one of the toughest things about having a toddler is not understanding what they want during tantrums. “I just want to know what's wrong! My mom always used to say, ‘If you can't tell me where it hurts, I can't help you.’” She told Parents. “So yeah I would love to get to that phase. But fortunately, Sonny is pretty even-tempered. He doesn't cry unless there's a specific reason like he's hungry or wants attention. He's not a crybaby!”

16 Kristin Is Busy, But Happy

Kristin Cavallari has the busiest household of all The Hills ladies, as she has a total of three children with her husband, NFL star Jay Cutler. Her sons Camden and Jaxon were born in 2012 and 2014, while her daughter Saylor was born in 2015.

“Since having kids, I feel like I have a real purpose in life,” she once said of how motherhood has changed her, Daily Mail reports. “My kids bring so much happiness to me.”

She continued, “The biggest challenge on a day-to-day basis for me is having a two-year-old and a four-year-old that are both in the whiny phase and want to push everyone's buttons. They test Jay and I to see how far they can take everything.”

15 Audrina Is Honest About Co-Parenting

Nowadays, Audrina seems to be thriving as a solo mother. She often posts cute photos of her and her mini-me to social media, making motherhood look like a piece of cake. However, the celebrity has been open about the struggles of co-parenting ever since her marriage came to an end.

“That’s progress in the works. Hopefully, I mean, we’ll see what happens,” she told Us Weekly last December. “We go to mediation in January so hopefully things can be worked out cordially and done in the right way for our daughter.” As of now, the parents share 50-50 custody of their little girl, but something tells us the drama is far from over.

14 Whitney Describes Motherhood As A Lot To Handle

Fans have loved Whitney’s honest approach to motherhood and that she rarely sugar-coats things online. In addition to pregnancy being rough on the star, she’s been open about her anxiety over breastfeeding and her son reaching new milestones.

“Phases are really short, like the difficulty-with-breastfeeding phase and then the teething phase and then the crawling phase,” the reality star told People. “These things seem really overwhelming the first year, but just as they start is kind of as quick as they end.” At least she added that getting her baby to sleep through the night was (sort of) easy!

13 Kristin Wanted Kids Close In Age

While it’s unclear if Kristin wants more kids, she has made it clear that it was her intention to have children so close in age (her eldest and youngest are only three years apart). Many fans can’t imagine how the celebrity handles everything, but she says she thinks it's easier to have kids back-to-back.

"Having an infant is stressful, and I know I won't get a lot of sleep initially, but it will be worth it,” she told Parents. "Jay and I want our kids to be close in age, so they can have a tight bond. And we'll get the diaper phase out of the way!"

12 Heidi Made A Co-Star The Godmother

Heidi Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt weren’t on good terms with many of their The Hills co-stars when the show ended in 2010. However, the controversial couple has remained close to some of their old reality star pals, which is why they made a former co-star the godmother of their son Gunner.

When Heidi gave birth in 2017, she revealed that her old co-star and friend Jen Bunney was going to be the baby’s godmother. “Cheers! I have one of Gunner’s godmothers here, Jen Bunney,” Heidi said in a video posted to social media. “We’re celebrating Gunner,” Jen chimed in. "He’s the best baby ever. We love him so much."

11 Whitney Thought Pregnancy Was So Not A Great Experience

Whitney has been honest that pregnancy wasn’t a very magical experience for her. Instead, she couldn’t wait to get the baby out!

“Pregnancy was hard for me — I mean, [in] my first trimester, I was extremely nauseous,” she shared with People. “So, I just was losing it every ... day.”

Whitney continued, “And then the second trimester comes and you start to put on [pounds] and so you have a bunch of body-image issues. And then the third trimester comes and you feel extremely uncomfortable because you’re so enormous and you’re scared about your life change.”

10 Audrina's Not-So-Happily Ever After

Despite dating for almost a decade, things turned chaotic quickly between Audrina and Corey. But there was a time when the celebrity had thought she’d found her happily ever after. Right before tying the knot, Audrina opened up to Fit Pregnancy about her relationship.

“I didn’t want to rush getting married, because stress is bad for the baby,” she said about postponing their wedding for a year. “I was a little worried about people judging me for it, but Corey wasn’t. He said, ‘Stop caring what people think. Their opinions don’t matter. Anyway, we’ve already been together for so long, it’s like we’re already married. It’s just a title at this point—and a ring.”

9 Kristin Is No Longer An L.A. Lady

Kristin always seemed like an L.A. girl. Well, at least when she was starring on Laguna Beach and The Hills. Remember when she moved to Los Angeles specifically for acting? Clearly, motherhood has changed her priorities, as Kristin said she never felt happier than when her family moved from L.A. to Nashville for a more low-key life.

“But overall, I just really hope I can raise my three kids to see the positive in everything and live a fulfilled life,” the reality star explained, Daily Mail reports. “I'm in Los Angeles all the time for work and I love being able to go back, but we're staying put in Nashville. We love raising our kids here.” Fans are able to catch glimpses into Kristin’s transformed life through her reality show Very Cavallari.

8 Lauren Keeps Private On Social Media

Fans who follow Lauren Conrad on social media know she’s very active, but that doesn’t mean she’s constantly uploading photos of her son. The celebrity has spoken about her dislike of oversharing photos of children online and says she struggles to find a balance between sharing too much with the world or not enough.

"I'm going to have to figure out how much of motherhood to share on social media," she explained last year, E! News reports. "Obviously you want to protect your child in every way you can. At the same time, my brand is based on being accessible and sharing the milestones of my life, and I'm so excited about it all. I'll find a middle ground."

7 Lauren Couldn't Do It Without Help

Lauren doesn’t believe flexibility is the only thing you need when balancing motherhood with a professional life — she also recommends getting some help, whether its from family or hiring someone.

“Practically every working parent feels this push-pull between [work] and family life,” she wrote on her blog last year. “Some people might make it seem easy, but it’s not. It really does take a village, and every working parent I know has the help of a daycare provider, a nanny, the grandparents, or a spouse who is the primary caregiver.”

She added, “We’re lucky enough to have a ton of family close by, but I still struggle to keep up with both work and baby duties.”

6 She Is Still Figuring Things Out

Lauren and her husband William Tell have been married since 2014 and seem like a power couple if their adorable social media posts are any hints. The celebrity has shared her appreciation for her hubby to the media time and again. Still, she admits that there’s a lot about parenting she’s still discovering.

"I'm still learning and figuring out what I'm doing," she shared with E! News in December. "You know, we talk about favorite strollers or things like that. I think that we'd like to be more of like a support system than someone giving advice. There's a lot of advice out there. I think there needs to be more, 'you're doing great.'"

5 Audrina's Daughter Is Already Independent

Fans have loved watching Audrina’s daughter grow up before their eyes. Although Audrina and Corey’s new custody arrangement prevents the toddler from appearing on her mom’s reality show or being featured in sponsored posts online, Audrina is still free to post as many pictures of Kirra as she wants. And she doesn’t disappoint!

“Kirra’s very independent as well. She’s very strong-willed and she loves to help me with everything,” the reality star has said of her little girl, Pop Culture Parents reports. “So she’s in the swim office with me helping me go through inventory. I hope that she learns from me and it sticks with her.”

4 Heidi Signed Her Son Up For TV

Since they announced their pregnancy, Heidi and Spencer have been adamant about their hopes to make their son famous. They’ve even made the boy his own social media accounts to make sure no one steals his name before he’s grown. And another way Speidi are getting their son in the spotlight is by signing him up for reality TV.

It was no surprise when Heidi and Spencer announced they’d be joining their old co-stars for The Hills reboot, debuting sometime this year. According to Daily Mail, the couple has been seen filming scenes for the show already, with their little guy in two. Even though some of their co-stars won’t be allowing their kids to film, at least fans can expect to get a glimpse of Gunner!

3 Whitney Is More Health-Conscious Than Ever

Whitney admits that a lot of things have changed since becoming a mom. But one thing that’s really stood out for her is how much more concerned she’s become about what she’s putting in her (and her family’s) body. She considers herself to be more health-conscious than ever.

“Yes! I feel like I need a lot more energy now, so I try to get more protein and drink smoothies with Lactaid—it's real dairy, just without the lactose so it gives me the protein I need,” she shared with Parents. “I started drinking Lactaid because my husband, Tim, is actually lactose intolerant. It's become the go-to drink in our house.”

2 Kristin Is Letting Her Kids Make Mistakes

It sounds like Kristin was definitely made to be a mom-of-three! The reality star has said time and time again how she loves having such a busy household. But she knows the most important thing is to let her kids be themselves, even if it means letting them make mistakes.

"Every child is completely different. My two boys are opposites,” she once told Parents. “Camden was such an easy baby. Jaxon is more of our ... wild child, but he's also a mama's boy.” She continued, “Our little girl will have her own personality. I know I can't change who they are. It's important to let kids be themselves and to let them make mistakes. Self-discovery goes a long way."

1 Audrina Can't Have Her Daughter Filmed

As we’ve mentioned, Audrina’s ex-husband Corey recently won a court case that will prevent his reality star ex from letting their daughter appear on camera. So, don’t expect to see Kirra living it up for fans on The Hills reboot. While it was definitely a contentious topic for the parents, Corey insists he believes its what’s in their daughter’s best interest.

“Neither party to allow the minor child to be filed [sic] or to appear in any reality television production without the express, written consent of the other parent,” court documents revealed, People reports.
