When it's Wonder Woman, people pay attention. Gal Gadot is the Israeli actress and model who basically became a household name overnight. Gal "didn't know what [she] was auditioning for." As per The Ellen Show reveal showing fans that Gal's Wonder Woman audition was blind, things became obvious very quickly. This girl is anything but ordinary.

Gal Gadot is 33 years old. She is also a mother of two. Unlike Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner though, this celeb doesn't stick her kids all over social media. Choosing to keep her two daughters out of the public eye, Gal is fiercely private when it comes to her personal life. That doesn't mean that her parenting ways aren't known, though.

When it comes to celebrities and their kids, they really do seem to fall into one of two categories. If they're Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell or Maci Bookout (or any of the Kar-Jenners), the kids will be on IG. They'll feature in promos. Stormi Webster has even been filmed clutching a Lip Kit.

The other half of Hollywood keeps their kids out of sight. That includes Mila Kunis, Blake Lively, and Scarlett Johansson. Gal will give the random interview, though. Between those and some super-careful searching, it's actually quite interesting to see how Gal parents her kids. She's super down-to-earth and super-inspirational.

The Real "Wonder Mom" isn't how everyone pictures her. It's time for a closer look. Here are 20 things the world just didn't know about Gal Gadot's parenting (until now).

20 SHE HID HER PREGNANCY WHILE FILMING: 'WHY ARE YOU DRINKING POTATO WATER?'

Plenty of Hollywood actresses have been pregnant while filming. Blake Lively was pregnant for The Shallows; Scarlett Johansson was rocking a bump under that Avengers catsuit; the same goes for Halle Berry and X-Men. Gal was pregnant during Wonder Woman's filming, and she told Glamour,

"I [let out my gut]. I started to come to set with sunglasses. I had this jug of water with huge pieces of ginger. One of the producers kept on asking: Why are you drinking that potato water? They thought I'd gone Hollywood."

In a separate Rolling Stone interview, Gal said that she concealed her pregnancy from the crew because she "didn't want attention."

19 THE REALITY IS MORE LIKE THIS

Gal doesn't share many pics of her family on social media. Her two daughters are named Maya and Alma. This is Gal with her husband, Yaron Versano and the family. He isn't a giant celebrity as he works in real estate.

Gal's super laid-back vibe is part of what makes her so popular. Her lifestyle is healthy, her mentalities are grounded, and she extends that to her kids. "Fame means I have to be very organized. But being a mother means getting up early in the morning even if you're tired because that's your responsibility," The Daily Mail quotes Gal saying.

18 PULLING A KYLIE JENNER ISN'T HER STYLE

In 2018, Kim called Kylie's pregnancy "the best-kept secret of our generation" on KUWTK. She wasn't wrong. While Kylie chose to conceal the entirety of her pregnancy, Gal only did it partially (for one child). Gal just didn't want to be treated differently.

Gal was already a celebrity when she was papped here. Wide in the open and grabbing some ice cream with her daughter, it was clear that this laid-back mom didn't care where the cameras were. Notice, too, that Gal isn't wearing a scrap of makeup. Even your fave pregnant celebs wore makeup. Beyonce, Blake Lively, Khloe Kardashian, and Cardi B all came with a full face. Not this girl.

17 HER KIDS ARE RAISED SPEAKING ENGLISH AND HEBREW

There's a lot behind Wonder Woman. As a former soldier, this girl knows her combat and she knows her weapons. It's part of the reason the Fast & Furious producers were so interested in her. Military service for women is mandatory in Gal's native Israel, so, of course, she speaks the language.

Gal actually means "wave" in Hebrew. Gal served two years in the Israeli military as a combat instructor.

Gal's daughters are raised speaking both English and Hebrew. Hebrew might not be spoken much outside of Israel, but it's still a skill. The alphabet reads right to left, vowels aren't as you know them, and we've got to say, this is definitely unique.

16 WATCHES 'CAT IN THE HAT' WITH HER KIDS WHEN THEY WAKE HER EARLY

Gal might be an A-Lister, but something about this mother couldn't be more real. Regular moms will complain with the usual: "She woke up four times in the night. I'm exhausted. We're gonna watch something easy." Gal is no different.

"Sleepless night, colicy [sic] 3-month old baby, and an early wake up by my 5-year-old. Went to the garden for some fresh air with my coffee and now reading 'Cat in The Hat' with my daughter."

That was an IG caption from an exhausted Gal as she admitted that she's just a regular mom. She sits in the back yard, she needs that coffee, and also, it's probably time to buy The Cat in the Hat.

15 FEELS THE 'SIMPLEST' THINGS MAKE HER THE HAPPIEST

For some girls, Versace is what makes them happy. Nicki Minaj basically loses her mind whenever Donatella Versace custom-designs an outfit for her. Kylie Jenner is pretty into her designer brands, too. Less about the Louis Vuitton and more about the sweats, Gal isn't like other celebs.

As Smart Parenting reports, when Gal was asked what she wants her daughters to learn from their mother, she answered with: "How to love themselves." For Gal, the simplest things are the most important. Of course, these girls are cushioned financially. For Gal though, there seems to be another wavelength, and money doesn't factor into it.

14 'HE TOLD ME ON OUR SECOND DATE': #MARRIED FOR 11 YEARS

Marriages in Hollywood can come with a very short shelf life. Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries lasted just 72 days. Britney Spears tops that with her 55-hour marriage. Gal has been married to her husband since 2008. Bustle reports her saying:

"We met nearly 10 years ago at this very strange party in the desert. He told me on our second date he was serious and wasn't going to wait more than two years to ask me to marry him."

It was instant love with these two."Fast-forward two years; he proposed. We were married in 2008," Gal concluded. This was over 11 years ago.

13 'I FEEL LIKE WONDER WOMAN WHEN I GIVE BIRTH'

Most women feel pretty powerful after giving birth (and rightly so). Easily one of the most challenging moments in a woman's life is delivering that baby. For Gal, it came with a sense of empowerment that she could personally relate to. She told Baby Magazine:

"It’s the best feeling in the world to create life. I may play a goddess in Wonder Woman, but I feel like a true goddess after giving birth and being the mother of two beautiful daughters." That's probably one of the most beautiful things we've ever heard. Gal might play a goddess on-screen, but she isn't the "Real-Life Wonder Woman" for nothing.

12 SHE REFUSES TO CASH IN BY GETTING HER KIDS PROMOTING STUFF

There's nothing wrong with having your kids on social media and a #ad being there. We see it from The Bachelorette stars and the Teen Mom cast. Not every mother is comfortable mixing family life with business, though. Gal appears to stand at a firm "no" when it comes to promotion and her daughters.

Gal herself is the face of Reebok. The contract is worth $10 million, The Times of Israel reports. Gal also fronts Revlon. While you might see a lipstick or sneaker being sold with Gal's face, you'll never see the kids included. Gal stands by her beliefs and she has her reasons.

11 SHE MISSES HER DAUGHTER WHEN SHE GOES TO A SLUMBER PARTY

"Recently my older daughter spent her first night out, a slumber party. And I thought I was going to get a phone call in the middle of the night: Come get me. I miss you, Mommy. I want to be home with you. But...nothing." When ESPN interviewed Gal on parenting, she admitted that letting her daughter go to a slumber party was actually a challenge.

She added: "I was proud, but I felt like, uh oh, she doesn't need me... I think letting go is the hardest thing we need to learn." We've all been there. Or at least, we can imagine how our parents felt. Gal is no different.

10 'I WAS VERY NERVOUS AS A YOUNG MOTHER'

Young moms — Hollywood is packed with them. Kylie Jenner seems an obvious one. Joining her are Britney Spears, Jamie-Lynn Spears, Reese Witherspoon, Cardi B, and the Teen Mom cast. Gal was in her twenties when she first got pregnant. She told Baby Magazine: “I was very nervous as a young mother."

Still, Gal can joke about it. Speaking about her own job and her daughter, she said: “She has an entry on IMDB! It took me years to become established, yet she wasn’t even born and already an actress.” Well, some babies are just born famous, right? Stormi and North West kind of proved that one.

9 FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES, BUT IT'S NEVER PRETENTIOUS

We've kind of reached the point where celebs are almost one-upping each other on the squads. Jlo posts selfies with Ariana Grande. Kim Kardashian makes sure Donatella Versace is seen on her IG. There's nothing wrong with hanging out with other celebrities – they are, after all, basically all neighbors.

Gal has some high-profile friends from both Fast & Furious and Wonder Woman. One seems to be particularly close. He's a fellow dad and his name is Vin Diesel. This #ParentsGoals pic wound up on Vin's social media. Friends in high places? Yes. Pretentious? With this crowd? Not a chance.

8 HER DAUGHTER 'DOESN'T CARE' THAT MOMMY IS WONDER WOMAN!

It must be pretty amazing to walk around that classroom and casually say: "Oh, yeah. My mom is Wonder Woman." Gal was speaking to Baby Magazine when she shared that her daughter actually doesn't care.

“She thinks it’s cool but it’s not that great to her. I’m just 'mum.' She doesn’t pay so much attention."

Gal added: "Even when I’m talking to someone about Wonder Woman, she tries any which way she can to change the topic! But she has certainly learned that every woman is a wonder woman. She literally says that, which I love.” It's too cute, right?

7 SHE FEELS A SECOND CHILD 'CHANGED THE DYNAMICS'

We've seen plenty of celebs add a second baby. Chrissy Teigen welcomed baby number two in 2018. Hilary Duff, Britney Spears, and Blake Lively all have two kids. Gal may be a busy model, actress, and spokesperson, but she found the time in her life to bring a second child into the world.

“With Maya, I’m able to enjoy it all much more. I’ve also seen that having a second child changes the dynamics of your family," Gal told Baby Magazine. On balancing time between the two kids, she added: "I have to make sure that Alma still gets a lot of love and attention from me even though I’m spending so much time with Maya."

6 SHE WANTS MAYA AND ALMA KEPT OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT

It's the battle celebrity moms will forever face. If #Kardashian isn't their style, these mothers will be fighting the paparazzi every time they leave the house. There's a choice that can be made from inside the house, though. It's called how much (if at all) they want to show their kids on social media.

Gal's IG used to show us the odd family snap. As fame took over (and fans poked their noses in), Gal started blanking out her kids' faces. Sometimes, she'll use an emoji. You'll have to look very carefully for any street pics that show the kids' faces. Celebs can request for their children's faces to be blurred out.

5 SHE GIVES INTERVIEWS IN OLD RUBBER FLIP-FLOPS, #LOWKEYMOM

When Gal was profiled by GQ, the interview crew couldn't get over how a major Hollywood actress was acting like the biggest normie ever. "The Gal Next Door" was the magazine's headline.

"She arrives at the beach with her hair in a bun, wearing old rubber flip-flops, denim cut-offs so distressed as to be inconsolable."

Gal actually held the interview on the beach. She even prepared egg sandwiches for GQ. FYI, when you're a celeb on this level, the catering is usually provided (and paid for). Hospitable, easy-going, and the opposite of a diva, Gal basically showed GQ something they hadn't seen in a while – a real girl.

4 SHE WANTS HER DAUGHTERS TO BE FEMINISTS

Gal isn't the only feminist in Hollywood. Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian, and Lady Gaga all fly the flag for feminine empowerment. Gal told Glamour: "There are such misconceptions as to what a feminist is. Feminism is about equality. I want all people to have the same opportunities and to get the same salaries for the same jobs."

Gal fronts Reebok campaigns that show women for the strong individuals they are."I realize I'm doing what I want to do because of the women before me who laid the groundwork. Without them I wouldn't be an educated working mother who is following her dreams; I wouldn't be here," she added.

3 KIDS AND A JOB WAS A TOUGH DECISION

Balancing a job and motherhood is hard enough in the real world. Hollywood demands 100%, and the industry is most interested in you when you're young. Gal had to face both motherhood and the job climb, but she told The Daily Mail:

"I was thinking about whether I should wait to have children when my acting [life] was more settled, but then I thought that if you're more successful, you're working even more, so that wouldn't be the best time either." She'd thought it through. While some pregnancies, like Kylie Jenner's, aren't planned, Gal thought her decisions through carefully. She has no regrets.

2 BUT SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING

There's a steady head on those shoulders. Being a pretty face with talent goes a long way, but a set of brains is a major asset in Hollywood. Gal hasn't let the Hollywood lifestyle go to her head. She keeps her head down, she works hard, and yes, she works out.

"It was worth it. [Alma] started getting happy tears and it was like our entire family achievement. It wasn't just me. It was all of us," Smart Parenting quotes Gal saying about her entire family enjoying the results of hard work. Gal spent most of 2018 sending some pretty impressive workout videos out to IG.

1 SHE THINKS CHILDREN ARE A BLESSING

#Blessed exists for a reason. We've seen it with Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell. We've seen it in speeches from Beyonce. Gal herself feels that her life is great, but it's her family that's the real blessing.

"I am a very, very happy woman who can hardly wait to come home to my family every time I finish work on a film,"

she told Baby Magazine. At the end of the day, the millions and glittering fame aren't what make Gal happy. This mom is at her happiest with her husband and her kids (and we think it's the best attitude there is).

Not everything about Gal was known. There's a lot more that is now, though.
