Those who can count more than a decade in the number of years lived can easily remember and appreciate the comedy series Full House. The entertaining program always left its viewers in awe as to the way in which the Tanner family was able to take care of so many kids and still find time to instill them with discipline as well as an immeasurable amount of parental advice. That is until we met the Duggars and we gained a new respect for the strength of a woman.

The tiny tots in Full House are now grown up and are raising their own kids. Most of them transitioned from Full House and gained acclaim in other quarters, but one of the children known as Stephanie Tanner on the show saw her star fizzle out after the series came to a close. Most child stars never make it into the big leagues and Jodie Sweetin seems to have fallen into that category. Her star is rising again though, with the premiere of Fuller House, which promises to be bigger and better than Full House was. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, but we have to admit the cast members are offering stellar performances.

The break between the close of Full House and the premiere of Fuller House has seen Jodie go through ups and downs in her personal life with lots of revelations and discoveries that have kept her fans yearning for more.

20 She Struggled Financially

Full House was a very popular show and ran for a long time with amazing ratings. The cast members made good money and for those who steered clear of hard partying and invested well, the money served them well and still is.

As Jodie was the main character, her cut of the money was quite high. Being a child actor meant that her expenses were less extravagant and by the time she was of ripe age, she had a sizable nest egg.

After the birth of her firstborn, life happened and her nest egg disappeared. Not long after that, it emerged that her house was under foreclosure and she was living on borrowed time.

19 Her Kids Appeared On Fuller House

Most of us were not even aware that Jodie and Barber’s real daughters had appeared on the show and we had to go back after the revelation to see for ourselves. Jodie’s daughter Zoie, and Barber’s daughter Felicity featured in Fuller House in the episode A Tangled Web.

Hello Giggles reported that when talking about it Jodie said, “That was really fun and very full circle for us. To have our daughters be on a show that we were on when we were their age, it was this really crazy moment where I remember thinking, ‘I never in a million years would’ve thought that someday I would have kids [who] would be on the next chapter of this series.'"

18 She's Been Divorced 3 Times

The one thing that Stephanie Tanner has no shortage of is her capacity to love, but unfortunately, her love doesn't last for long. Jodie, the sweet adorable little girl on Full House has fallen in love and married not once, not twice, but three times.

Remembering her, this is quite hard to believe but the divorces prove it. She first married policeman Shaun Holguin before divorcing him and marrying Cody Herpin. After her divorce, she married Morty Coyle whom she divorced one year after her marriage.

The frequency of divorces could be that she was searching for something that she never got due to the issues going on in her life at that time. We do hope that she will find love that lasts.

17 She Was Adopted At Just 9 Months Old

Not many of us are aware of this mainly because she prefers to keep this part of her life private. But according to SheKnows, she let fans know in her Unsweetened autobiography she was adopted at nine months of age.

As it turns out, her adoption occurred during some very difficult circumstances, but her adoptive parents became the rock any little girl would need. She was raised with love and devotion with all the luxuries she could have ever needed. It is thanks to her adopted parents that she was able to do as well as she did in her career in those early years.

16 She Admitted To Being Teased As A Kid

Bullying and teasing at a young age is something most go through growing up. What surprises us is that even a girl as confident as Jodie Sweetin, who was a household name as a kid also went through teasing. Jodie was barely at school due to her busy schedule and so did not form any bonds during this time. Missing so much school meant that the kids at school picked on her quite a bit.

The teasing went so far that she once literary threw a chair at her tormentor. This did not stop the teasing though and she continued to have problems with her teachers and students. At the end of school, she claims to have made no friends.

15 She Has Beef With Miley Cyrus

She is the queen of beef and she has been known to land on anyone without any notice. Not too long ago, Miley Cyrus set her eyes on Jodie Sweetin by posting an unsavory image of her captioned, "Current mood". The picture was not flattering and was meant as a jab at the lady who was trying quite hard to put her life together.

Instead of pulling her up, Miley tried to make a mockery of her journey, which is ironic because she has been where Jodie was at that time and then some. Jodie acted like a lady and did not sink into the pit that Miley wanted to drag her into.

14 She Had A Feud With Candace On Set

Sibling rivalry is a real thing and those of us who have brothers and sisters can attest to the fact that fighting is quite common even as we age. Even though Jodie and Candace are not related and they did not live in the same household, most of their time was spent together shooting the show which made them sisters by proximity. As she's older, Candace is reported to have been a little snobbish towards Jodie.

She retaliated by writing mean words on set, which she later denied. Their relationship got better as they grew older and Candice even allowed Jodie to have her daughter be the maid of honor at Jodie's wedding.

13 A Bizarre Connection To Glee

Jodie and Matthew Morrison, who stars in the award-winning show Glee were schoolmates in high school and they even did a gig in their high school musical. Not too surprisingly, Jodie expressed her desire to make an appearance on Glee, probably as a way for her to revisit her heydays.

This seemed like a lovely way to reconnect with her youth or to bond with the one guy she may have made friends within her friendless school days. The Glee bug seems to have been fueled even more by the fact that uncle Jesse, (John Stamos) starred as a dentist on the showUnfortently, nothing ever came of it and she has yet to have secured a role on the popular show.

12 She Never Watched An Episode Of Full House

Some of us love our work and we love to see just how great we were in accomplishing a certain task. As it turns out, Jodie isn’t one of us and she does not share in this all too common “God complex,” that most celebrities have. She disclosed that during the run of Full House she never watched a whole episode of the show.

According to People, “I have to be honest. I don’t know that I’ve ever watched an entire episode of Full House. Not sat down for an entire episode.”

She is missing out because her performance in this show would give her a lot of moments to be proud of!

11 She Was At The Top Of Her Class

In her autobiography, Jodie claims to have started reading when she was only 3-years old, which is quite impressive. It has also emerged that when she went for her audition for the role of Stephanie Turner at only five years of age, she was able to go through all her lines with no help.

Her smarts saw her skip kindergarten and she almost skipped first grade due to her high acumen for reading, but her mother would have none of it and she was not prepared to see her daughter stick out. Her intelligence is what saw her do so well in her role and succeed.

10 She Worked At A Recovery Center

Not many of us remember to give back to those who have helped us get through troubles. The minute we get out of a major scrap, we do not want to remember that past. Jodie has been to hell and back and for a while there, we almost wrote her off.

But despite all this, she never allowed any of it to blacken her heart and she has found it in herself to give back by working at a recovery center. She got a volunteer job as a clinical logistics coordinator in a Los Angeles rehabilitation center.

9 The Custody Battles

Jodie is the mother of two very beautiful daughters, a product of her first and third marriage. After her first marriage went up in flames, her then ex-husband took her to court in a bid to get custody of their daughter. She was lucky at that time because the courts ruled in her favor and she was able to retain custody.

The pattern repeated itself with her second born with her last husband taking her to court for custody of his daughter. She has been lucky on both counts, which is a good thing because having been adopted so young due to the same problems it would have been sad if the same happened to her daughters.

8 Had To Pay Child Support

Jodie falls into the category of very unlucky women who have to pay child support to the father of their children, which is something that is quite rare. We all know one or two women who get paid child support by men after dragging them to court for skipping out on their responsibilities towards their children. These are the men the courts have to force to at least educate and feed their children.

Jodie’s first husband took her to court and she was ordered to pay him two grand for taking care of their daughter. In so doing, it would appear that he has primary custody of the child or that the child spends most of her time with him.

7 Her Failed Engagement

Jodie loves marriage and marriage does seem to love her. It is this love for marriage that saw her get engaged a fourth time after her three failed marriages. Her engagement to a recovering addict who later turned out to have been doing the reverse, Justin Hodak, in 2016 went up in flames by March of 2017.

The man seemed wounded by her decision to break off the engagement and Jodie had to take out a restraining order against him. The man was so unstable that he threatened to commit suicide if Jodie did not go back to him. Jodie is single for now but we are yet to see for how long.

6 Her Big Speeches

They say experience is the best teacher and this adage seems to ring true with Jodie. She is the best person to caution the younger generation on the dos and don'ts of life. After she got clean and pulled her life together, she proposed to spend most of her time giving back to society through speaking engagements on college campuses.

For the longest time, her life was going the wrong way, but it is probably someone just like her who cared enough to talk who touched her. She may not be able to convince everyone not to go her way, but chances are that at least one person on the campus will hear her and change their ways.

5 A Short Career

Most of the actors in Full House were able to land gigs after their eight seasons. Stephanie, on the other hand, was not able to land any more gigs and only appeared in Dancing with the Stars. Her life took a nosedive and so did all the opportunities she could have had to become an even bigger star.

Despite all this, she did not take too long in getting her life back on track and regain her health and is now doing a stellar job in Fuller House. Jodie is a true representation of “it is darkest before dawn.”

4 Her Favorite Uncle Is Joey

We all have a favorite when it comes to family and even though the Tanner family was not her real family, she spent so much time on set that it seemed like family. The bonds formed at work can sometimes go beyond those in our families and there is that one person that just completes us.

In Jodie’s case, her favorite person is Uncle Joey, played by Dave Coulier. The two are so tight that both their families get together for dinner dates and barbecues. Uncle Joey’s giving nature has been unwavering towards Jodie and he has always been there for her

3 Her Kids' Adorable Letter To Santa

Every mother is proud of her kids and this pride sometimes makes them see their kids as little superhumans. In the case of Jodie's daughters Beatrix and Zoe, the kids are sweet and incredibly funny as depicted in a letter they wrote to Santa.

According to Hello Giggles, the proud mother shared the following letter Christmas morning: "Dear Santa, I want a for real life pet cat toy, peace on earth, goodwill to all, and more! Love, Bea. P.S - Can you read minds?"

Those sound like reasonable requests and if he indeed can read minds, that would take a lot off the list.

2 She Got Injured Retrieving A Toy

Mothers will do anything for their children and Jodie seems to be a very good mother who may not always do what is best for her children, but tries to make up for her mistakes and has turned out to be quite a spectacular mother. This has been displayed by her recent accessories in form of crutches after she sustained an injury trying to retrieve her daughter’s toy.

Jodie posted a picture of her foot in a cast on Instagram with the caption, “Well, my day did NOT go as planned!! I was trying to hop a fence to get a little toy that Bea had thrown over it, and on the way back, my dismount sucked. Snapped my ankle and tibia in multiple places and screamed like never before!!

So... looks like surgery is in my near future. And probably no tap dancing for a while. But Zoe won all her soccer games and is still going in the next round! #supermom#fencejumpfail #idoallmyownstunts#hopalongcassidy

1 She Attended The Kid’s Choice Awards On Crutches

To prove just how dedicated Jodie is to her kids, she wobbled onto the orange carpet of the Kids Choice Awards show on crutches to help fulfill her kid’s desires, something only a mom can understand and do.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, Jodie said, "Even if I didn't want to come, I had to come because my kids wanted to be here."

Jodie is reported to have told ET's, Lauren Zima, "But we're nominated for an award, so I was like, 'There's no way I'm missing it. I will crutch down the orange carpet, and I will be there."

That’s a strong mama right there.
