Pregnancy is more than just a baby bump. For many moms, it feels and looks very little than what they would expect. It is common for women to experience both the pros and cons of pregnancy, but thankfully moms everywhere, including celebrity ones, are opening up about every aspect of pregnancy.

We all hear of morning sickness, but contrary to its name, it is often times worse than a little tummy trouble at 9 a.m. We remark on mom's body and bump size and how big or small it is. But we often times may miss that they are underlying things going on that are far more important than that. Mom may have swelling because her blood pressure skyrocketed. Her concerns are most likely on her baby's safety as well as her own. Nobody talks about the bigger picture, the health problems, or how intense it can be.

Lately, celebrity moms have been more open about their struggles with everything from infertility to complications with delivery. Moms everywhere are so thankful to know that these problems affect everyone. No matter how much money we have or how good of shape we are in, things go wrong sometimes that are totally out of our control.

The clots caused Williams to have several coughing fits which caused her to rip open her fresh C-section wound.

According to Vogue.com, Teigen and her husband, John Legend, picked the gender of their embryos as they screened them for genetic issues. It's a part of the process generally as chromosomes are used to determine gender and can give doctors and parents a great deal of important information about the baby.

Despite her good efforts, Teigen was still slammed by many on social media who were ignorant to the IVF process and believed she was simply selecting her child's gender. Teigen has been advocating for moms who struggle with infertility for a while now using her own social media and sharing her experiences.

During Spelling's fourth pregnancy, she told US Magazine that she dealt with placenta previa. The condition happens when the placenta covers the cervix. It can cause severe bleeding and risks of hemorrhaging.

Halle Berry had quite the surprise at 47  years old when she found out she was pregnant. According to DailyMail.co.uk, Berry thought she couldn't even conceive due to her age. Berry even confessed that she felt like she was premenopausal which would obviously tank her fertility. A woman's chance of conceiving after 40 drops dramatically so the idea of accidentally getting pregnant at 47 would obviously be quite the shock.

Pregnancy after 40 is becoming a more popular trend, especially for celebrities. Berry's accidental pregnancy gives a lot of women who want to conceive hope for themselves. Sometimes things are just out of our control.

7 Pink Wanted A Home Birth

One hospital legend is that when we make a birth plan, it will most likely always go wrong. Pink dealt with this when she planned for an all natural birth but ended up with a c-section. The singer had planned to do an all natural home birth according to Redbookmag.com. Instead, Pink ended up with a baby who was frank breech, laboring for two days, and a c-section. That's obviously way off from what she planned.

A frank breech baby has his butt by the birth canal as opposed to his head. The legs are usually sticking straight up with the feet being by baby's head. That is not a fun or easy way to push a baby out.

6 Elsa Pataky's Baby Bump

Elsa Pataky, who is married to Chris Hemsworth, was called out while she was seven months pregnant with twins! Pataky proved that even pregnant women aren't off limits apparently when it comes to cruel words. Apparently the hosts of Fashion Police didn't think her belly bump looked right. It was "too big" or resembled a "beer belly" according to Parents.com.

Pregnancy can be a difficult time for many women as our bodies change completely out of our control. We get rude comments from strangers in the grocery store about being ready to pop or are we sure it's not twins. This happens to celebrities too and more often.

Gwyneth Paltrow shares two children with Chris Martin. According to the DailyMail.co.uk, Paltrow was pregnant with a third child. She had a miscarriage though and the complications from that were not easy.

Paltrow did not share much more about the situation and we can't honestly blame her. It's a tough subject to talk about. According to WebMD.com and the March of Dimes, about 15 to 25 percent of recognized pregnancies end in a miscarriage. Paltrow surely isn't alone and many moms have been more open about miscarriages in the past few years. It is obviously nothing to be ashamed of, but many women who go through this experience often feel alone in it.

She dealt with it during her first pregnancy as well as shared how the whole idea of glowing while pregnant is far from the truth. Amen!

Clarkson was open that her sickness didn't end by lunch time, like many of us are led to believe. Obviously puking isn't fun or glamorous to talk about, it is straight up gross. But it's real. It happens all the time to a lot of us.

Duggar dealt with pre-eclampsia once before this during her pregnancy with her twins twenty years prior. That delivery was only two weeks early though which is much less complicated. Her delivery at 25 weeks wasn't easy and babies born that early often face many more challenges.
