20Serena Williams Opens Up About Her Battle With Postpartum

Serena Williams had what has been referred to as an easy pregnancy. It's the delivery part that was especially terrifying. Williams has a history of blood clots according to Vogue.com. Her daughter was delivered via C-section after some scary heart rate drops for the baby girl. Just a day after delivery,

Williams ended up with several blood clots in her lungs. The clots caused Williams to have several coughing fits which caused her to rip open her fresh C-section wound.

Any C-section mom knows how awful it is to cough for the first few days and heck even weeks after delivery. We cannot imagine how painful or scary that was for the tennis star who ended up on bed rest for almost six weeks postpartum.
