There's absolutely nothing wrong with being fascinated by the lives of Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and their two kids, Wyatt and Dimitri. After all, the pair of actors, philanthropists, and business-people are incessantly charming. Kunis and Kutcher are also the types who stay out of the spotlight and only offer seldom glimpses into their private lives. Unlike the Kardashians, they create an interest in them without even trying. That's an incredible power to have, and it's something that most celebrities couldn't even dream of.

One of the things that fans seem to be fascinated about is how the pair of That 70's Show fame raise their children. Both Kunis and Kutcher seem to be pretty opinionated about various topics when they speak about things on the talk-show circuit and in magazines. This only leads us to think that they have very specific ways of raising their two children. That's why we've created this list. On it, fans will find some of the most unique aspects of Kunis and Kutcher's parenting life, as well as some of the rules that they make their children follow. Without further ado, here are 20 Unique Things Mila Kunis And Ashton Kutcher Do To Raise Their Kids.

20 Machines Can Deal With Their Sleep Issues

While speaking on Dax Shepard's podcast, The Armchair Expert, Ashton Kutcher couldn’t help but explain his love for the Snoo; a device that helps his kids get to sleep. Essentially, The Snoo is an oscillating bed that has a sensor that tells how hard a baby is crying. It then adjusts its movements to attempt to soothe the baby back to sleep. This is something that he and Kunis bought in order to be able to get a good night's sleep themselves. Of course, they will go in and make sure everything is okay if they need to, but they also wanted their kids to be able to get to sleep by themselves. Or, at least, with the help of a machine. But this didn't stop people from criticizing Kutcher and Kunis for making this choice.

19 The Kids Are Raised Poor

The title of this entry is only partially misleading as Kutcher and Kunis are actually raising their kids to believe that they are poor. All of the money and luxury that they get to be around while they're growing up is their parent's money, not theirs. This means that Kunis and Kutcher don't want to raise little entitled monsters who feel like they can have anything they want just because their parents have made quite a few dollars. Kunis has spoken extensively on the subject, saying, “It’s a matter of teaching them from a very early age that, you know, mommy and daddy may have a dollar, but you’re poor. You are very poor, you have nothing. Mommy and daddy have a bank account.”

18 Christmas Gifts Are Not A Given

Kunis and Kutcher made headlines in 2017 when they said that they seldom give their kid's Christmas or Hannukah presents. Even though they do occasionally give their kid's presents, they don't want them to expect to get gifts. They really don't want Wyatt and Dimitri to become entitled brats who get gifts just because they want them. Clearly, Kutcher and Kunis have all the means to give their kids what they want. But just because they do, doesn't mean that they use them. Instead, the grandparents are the ones who constantly give their grandkids gifts. Mommy and daddy will only do it on a rare occasion. Most of the time, they make charitable donations on behalf of their children.

17 The Spotlight Isn't For Them Unless They Want It

Kutcher and Kunis are pretty good about staying out of the spotlight. The only times they really make news is when they are on the talk-show circuit or are photographed somewhere. But even this is too much for their children. The pair of actors are adamant about keeping their kids as far from the spotlight as possible. Sure, they are occasionally caught by paparazzi out in public, but even that is rare. This is because they don't want Wyatt and Dimitri to be in the spotlight at all. Once they are old enough to understand the pros and cons, they can make that decision for themselves. Until then, it's the "normal" life for them.

16 Speaking Multiple Languages Is The Law

Yep, it's an absolute must for their children to speak multiple languages. Kutcher and Kunis understand that the world is full of diverse cultures and languages. Kunis, herself, was taught the tongue of the U.S. as a second language. Now she can fluently speak all of three languages. Once Kunis saw that her daughter Wyatt was able to absorb so much at a young age, she made her start to learn other languages. This is something that Dimitri will also do when he's old enough. Both parents think that this skill will open up many doors for them in the future.

15 Taking Care Of Web Domains

Ashton Kutcher may be best known for his performances in Dude, Where’s My Car, Jobs, The Butterfly Effect, The Ranch, and, of course, That '70s Show, but he's also a very successful venture capitalist and entrepreneur. He has invested his money in over 60 tech companies including Skype and Airbnb. Being around all of this tech has given him a very specific insight as a parent; that it's important to secure web domains for his kids. And that's precisely what he's done. He's purchased practically every domain that uses his son and daughter's name. This is because he really didn't want other people getting these domains and doing bad things with them. Additionally, if his kids ever want them in the future, they have them and don't have to buy them off of other people.

14 Knock! Knock! Is There A Nanny Present?

Nope! There is absolutely no nanny present in the Kutcher and Kunis household. If they really want help with their kids, they will ask their parents, siblings, or a babysitter. The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star and The Ranch star are sure that they want to be the ones doing the vast majority of the parenting as their parents did with them. When asked about why they don't have a nanny, Kutcher said, “We just want to know our kid. We want to be the people that know what to do when the baby’s crying to make the baby not cry anymore. We want to know, like, when she makes a little face or something, we want to be emotionally in touch with her.”

13 Everybody Acknowledges Shabbat And Other Holidays

In Kunis's religion, Shabbat (otherwise known as "Shabbos") is about far more than taking a day of rest to honor God. It's about being with family and acknowledging one another over food. In this religion, practically everything is enjoyed over food. This is something Kunis wanted to pass on to her children who are expected to take part in their Shabbat dinner every Friday night regardless of where they are. But Kunis also wants her family to celebrate Christmas, Easter, and other holidays. As long as they are together and enjoying the festivities, it doesn't really matter what religion takes precedence.

12 Actively Challenge Gender Stereotypes

Although both Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are passionate about raising their kids without subscribing to gender stereotypes, it's Kutcher who is really passionate about it. He wants his daughter to experience a world where gender doesn't limit what she does or what responsibilities she has. In short, he wants her to experience the world to the fullest. The same goes for his son, Dimitri who can do anything and be anything that he desires as long as he gives it his all and takes responsibility for it. This parenting attitude will easily broaden their kids' horizons and make them quite well-adjusted.

11 Weekends Aren't For Free Time

With everything going on in Kunis and Kutcher's lives, it's understandable that they would have limited time for their family. After all, they are involved in so many productions and businesses. However, both Kutcher and Kunis make weekends family time regardless of their schedules. This means that the kids are expected to do the same thing even as they get older. Of course, Wyatt and Dimitri are at the age where all of their playdates are scheduled by their parents, but even when they are of age, they are expected to devote some of their weekends to their parents and other family members.

10 A Boring Easter Egg Hunt

Easter and Easter egg hunts are very much a part of Wyatt and Dimitri's lives. It's one of the holiday traditions that Kutcher and Kunis wanted to give to their children. However, their children's Easter egg hunts are decidedly less fun than most kids. This is because Kutcher and Kunis don't want their kids to be wanting to eat candy all the time. Therefore, they make sure that the prizes that the kids find on the hunt are healthier options such as Cheerios or raisins. When the kids get older and can moderate their sugar intake, candy will be introduced. But, right now, it's just too soon.

9 Complaining About Their Parental Jobs Isn't Allowed

Although the family is the most important thing in Kutcher and Kunis' lives, the second has got to be their work. The opportunities that the film, television, and corporate industries have offered them is what has set them up for the rest of their lives. Therefore, it's clearly important that they respect that and continue to contribute. This is why Kutcher and Kunis make sure their kids know not to complain about their jobs. Kunis and Kutcher make a ton of time for their kids, but that doesn't mean they can be around all the time. The Bad Moms star hopes that one day her kids will have a full appreciation for the lives that she and her husband have outside of their family.

8 Sharing Is A Top Priority

Whoever the third kid in this picture is, he is certainly being shared with. This is because Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher make sure that their kids know that sharing is a top priority. This type of lesson is something that will continue to develop over time. It first starts with sharing toys and food and not being so controlling over what they have. Eventually, it will be become about sharing their wealth and warmth with others who may or may not have what they have. This is something that these incredibly generous parents want their kids to have when they become adults.

7 The Word "Want" Is A No-Go

Kutcher and Kunis's parenting style is clearly very consistent; they don't want to raise entitled kids who get everything they want in life. This is one of the reasons why they have told their kids not to use the word "want." Both Kunis and Kutcher grew up in families who really didn't have a lot of money, therefore "wants" weren't on the priority list. "Needs", on the other hand, is something that is far more important. Although "wants" are fun and nice, they don't want their kids to be controlled by them. This is why they only give their kids their "wants" when they've earned them or on very rare occasions as a nice change.

6 Finding A Way For The Kids To Struggle

In addition to not giving what their kids want whenever they want it, Kutcher and Kunis want their kids to know what struggle feels like. Of course, their kids will never truly know the extent of what that word means, they want them to experience a bit of it. Essentially, they don't want their kids growing up being handed everything and not knowing how to work for it. They also want their kids to know that good things don't always happen even when hard work and commitment is put into it. Nonetheless, they want their kids to develop persistence, a work ethic, and a passion. And all of those things come from struggle and conflict, not from being handed everything.

5 Social Media Is Not Welcome

Ashton Kutcher may have purchased his kids' domain names, but he doesn't want them doing too much on the internet until they are much older. This is mostly to do with the negative aspects of social media. Although he and Kunis both have social media, they won't allow their kids to have access to it until they are much older. Additionally, the pair seldom posts anything to do with their children as they want to give them some degree of space. This is because their kids didn't sign up for the life that their parents did. Additionally, social media is a "no-go" because they want their kids to be safe from the trolls and the critics out there.

4 Tickets To Sugarland Are Few And Far Between

In addition to boring Easter egg hunts, Kutcher and Kunis's kids aren't given nearly as much sugar as most kids are. In fact, all of the treats that they do get contain practically no trace of sugar. Therefore, candy is pretty much a no-go. This is not something that Kutcher and Kunis stay away from themselves as both of them, especially Kutcher, have sweet-tooths. But they don't want their kids to crave sugar before they know the potential harm that too much of it can do. When they are old enough, they can monitor their intake and decide for themselves how much they want to incorporate into their lives. On rare special occasions, the kids can be allowed to eat some sugary treats, but this doesn't happen often.

3 Mom And Dad Are Not "Good" People

Ashton Kutcher may seem like the type of guy who is always laid back, but in reality, he has absolutely no problem with being seen as "the bad guy." In fact, this is the same as Mila Kunis. Both parents don't want their kids to always see them as "good people" who will give them anything they want. Discipline, rules, and guidance are more important to these parents than being their kids' best friend. That doesn't mean that everything is tough. On the contrary, Kunis and Kutcher can be very tender with their kids and love to laugh with them. But when laws need to be laid down, they don't have a problem with coming across as "mean."

2 "No, You're Not Getting Another Brother"

Although some news publications like to start stories about how Mila Kunis is pregnant with another kid, she and Kutcher are certain that they only want two kids. This is because they don't want to be "outnumbered" but them. Two is the absolute maximum that they want. Therefore, they make sure their kids don't ask them for another sibling because they just won't get one. The pair of actors have been very public about this choice, therefore it makes sense that they are open and honest with their children about this. Then again, Wyatt and Dimitri may be completely content with not having more siblings to battle for their parents' attention.

1 Say Goodbye To Your Trust Fund

Staying true to their vision of raising their kids "poor," Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have decided not to give their kids a trust fund. Unlike certain celebrities that we're currently reading about on the news, Kutcher and Kunis want their kids to work for what they want. This means that they aren't planning on setting their kid's up financially. In fact, there's only one way that Kutcher and Kunis plan to give their kids any sort of money. That is if the kids come to them with a solid business plan about what they want to do with their lives. Kutcher will happily invest in his children's desires if they are thought out and his kids are dedicated and passionate about it. Otherwise, they are on their own.
