5-Month-Old Baby From Canada Will Soon Be The Youngest Person Ever To Visit All 50 States

5-month-old Harper Yeats is about to become the youngest person ever to have visited all 50 of the United States of America.

Although the U.S. is only one country, the sheer size of it means that there are so many completely different areas to explore. New York is very different to Houston, Chicago is worlds away from Omaha, and Miami and Seattle might as well be on opposite sides of the world. It's like having a whole host of different countries to visit all in the confines of one huge nation.

Unless you're a truck driver or a traveling salesperson of some kind, it's unlikely that you'll ever visit all 50 states, even if you live in the U.S. for your entire life. Many people do manage it though, mainly because they are actively trying to. There is even a club for those who have achieved it, the "All Fifty States Club", and by the end of this mont,h it will have its youngest member to date.

Her name is Harper Yeats, and she is just five months old. What's more, the little one isn't even American. Harper was born in Canada and her parents, Cindy Lim and Tristan Yeats are from Australia. Harper's mom and dad told CBS News that they had been aiming to visit every state in the US before their new addition and a little while after she was born, the idea struck them.

The journey began in Maine back in June when Harper was just a month old, and it was there that her parents first heard about the All Fifty States Club. "Why not go to all 50 states? It was just our plan to do it together and have fun," Cindy explained. Since then Harper, Cindy, and Tristan have traveled all over the US and their current tally stands at 43 states at the time of typing this.

That leaves just seven states left for little Harper to visit before she becomes the youngest member of the All Fifty States Club. The plan is for the journey to end in Vermont on October 18th, before Harper is even six months old. You can check out the photographic evidence of Harper's exploits on her Instagram, and join her and her almost 18,000 followers cross the finish line next week when she heads to Vermont.
