90 Day Fiancé Stars Karine And Paul Are Expecting Their First Child Together

TLC's 90 Day Fiance is one of those guilty pleasure reality television shows that makes many viewers, us included, wonder how it is even possible for the series' couples to make their relationships work. The series showcases two people from different corners of the world meeting, committing and getting engaged to be married in under three months! The premise of the show indeed revolves around intense emotions and whirlwind experiences, and for one couple the excitement of newlywed life is not slowing down one, single bit. Paul Staehle and Karine Martins and having a wild first year of companionship.

Two of the show's stars, Paul Staehle and Karine Martins are now hitched and expecting their first child. Karine is four months along with a baby boy, but the journey to this point has not been smooth sailing in the least. Karine and Paul initially met with marriage intentions, but without a means of verbal communication, a major language barrier stood in the way of the couple sharing their deepest darkest feelings and secrets. Thankfully a language translation app helped solve that massive roadblock for the two. Once the pair sorted the communication issues out though, their relationship seemed plagued with rumors of divorce, cheating scandals and pregnancy loss.

On top of arguments and infidelity reports, Karine, a 22-year-old Brazilian native, suffered two miscarriages within a year. Now safely in the second trimester with her third pregnancy, she and Paul, 35, can put that sadness behind them. The events of loss were devastating to the pair, but Staehle claims the pregnancy losses brought them closer together. The two were able to set their differences aside and focus on comforting one another during a time of difficulty.

Throughout the pregnancy, Papa Paul has traveled between the states and his wife's native Brazil, but it seems that a permanent stateside move might be in store for the mama to be. Karine is looking forward to exploring medical facilities in the United States to better determine which country will be best for their family to deliver and raise their baby boy in.

Congrats to the happy couple! Fingers crossed for a smooth pregnancy journey.
