Former 90210 actress Shenae Grimes is expecting her first child with her husband of five years, Josh Beech. The happy couple are expecting a baby girl.
Grimes took to her blog, Lost in LaLa, to share some more intimate details about her pregnancy. She acknowledges that it was unexpected and took the couple by surprise. They weren't planning on having a child right now, but fate had other ideas. Regardless, both are happy about the news.
They revealed their pregnancy exclusively to People Magazine and shared some fun photos. "I can’t believe our world is about to get a whole lot bigger and brighter, and can’t wait to embark on this wild ride with my partner in crime,” Grimes said.
She went on to praise her husband and tell of her excitement that he'll be such a wonderful and caring father. She said, "I feel like being a father was something Josh was put on this planet to do, and I'm thrilled that we're welcoming a daughter because I know how special the bond between my mum and I has always been".

Like many, Grimes has experienced the not-so-exciting parts of pregnancy. She shared that all of the sudden physical and emotional changes took her by surprise. She admitted that so far, her pregnancy has been hard. That is all very relatable and it's so important to share that pregnancy isn't always easy.
Grimes got her big break on the Canadian teen drama Degrassi (the same show Drake used to star in), as Darcy from 2004-2008. She then landed a starring role in 90210 as Annie Wilson, the new girl in Beverly Hills. The show was canceled in 2013. She's now starring in the Canadian TV crime drama, The Details.
Grimes and Beech (a model from England) wed in a surprise ceremony in London. Grimes, always stylish, opted to wear a non-traditional black wedding dress.
From the photos and her blog, it's obvious that these two really enjoy each other and are excited about this next journey in their lives.
Their bundle of joy will arrive later this year.
