It's one thing to say, "This is why we can't have nice things." But Jerron Hurtt, father to the famous Hurtt Twins, is showing the world why.

In a now-viral video, Jerron showed what happens when you give breakfast to twin toddlers and leave them on their own for more than a nanosecond to use the bathroom. What followed was a tsuanmi of cereal and. When he returned, the dad asked what anyone would, "What happened?" While neither would fess up to the act, both Jerron Jr. and Joshua sprung into action. What action? Well, that's hard to decipher.

The duo tried to undo the mess, but it seemed to work in the opposite way. Nothing gets clean and, if anything, the scene appears to become more chaotic thanks to their "help".

Something should be said for the adorable nature of the video as one twin pushed the wayward cereal pieces under the refrigerator with a broom twice his size. The other one was wielding a dry mop to do the same. As they continued to "clean", their father started to notice more disturbing parts of the kitchen catastrophe.

"Why did you take that chair and put it up on the counter? Why were you up on the counter? Josh and Jerron, why did you have that chair up there?"

Most parents can relate to the insanity of asking repeated questions to no avail. In fact, not only was the father's inquiries ignored, but they caused the boys to work even faster. Unfortunately, their "work" only made things messier at each turn.

Many videos like this one make their way online. Many go beyond just cereal with messy things like paint:

Markers:

And even peanut butter:

It's all part of parenting and, while this video is similar to the others, it shows that even when trying to help, kids can create more need for clean-up. Jerron Hurtt is a single father who created a Youtube channel to better remember his children. According to his Facebook page, he didn't want his memories to be limited to blurry VHS tapes and chose to share select memories with the world. Raised by a single parent himself, Jerron wants to keep these younger days alive and well through video. He says that he named one son after himself and the other after his brother.

These videos have served their purpose for the dad, but also for other parents too. We can certainly relate. Any one who has ever walked into a flood of Lucky Charms after a two minute bathroom break knows can feel the hurt themselves.
