Having children is one of the ultimate goals for most people, and the births of those children are milestones in a parent's life that will never be forgotten. What you don't realize before you have kids is how quickly they grow up. One second they weigh ten pounds and you can hold them in your arms, the next you're fighting back tears as you send them on their way for their first day of school.
That's why for most parents, documenting those early years is extremely important. For many, the most special way to do that is via a professional photo shoot. However, something like that can cost a lot of money, and if there is one time in our lives when money is a little extra tight, it's when there is a new addition to the family.

A professional photo shoot with a newborn baby is a luxury that many parents cannot afford. That was certainly the case for Trann and her husband. The two of them wanted to celebrate the arrival of their first child and create some memorable photos, however, the cheapest photo shoot packages they could find were all over $300.
That's when Trann decided to take matters into her own hands and went to KMart in search of her own baby photo shoot props. What she came back with came to less than $50 altogether, and the results are remarkable. All Trann bought was a basket, a throw, and a headpiece, and you would think the resulting photos were set up and taken by a professional. "I knew we needed some good memorable photos because no matter how much money we make in the future we can’t buy these moments back again," Trann told Kidspot.
It seems as if many will be following in Trann's footsteps too. The new mom posted the photos to KMart Mums Australia's Facebook page. As of right now, the post has been liked more than 6,000 times. It just goes to show that if you think outside the box you can create something truly special for your child and your family, and it doesn't have to cost you the world.
