Amber Portwood’s Ex Wants To Move Their Son To California Amid Ongoing Custody Dispute

It looks like things are done for good between Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon, as he has filed a motion in court to move back to California- and he wants to take their son with him.

Teen Mom fans know that Andrew moved from California to be with Amber in her home of Indiana when they first started dating. The couple originally met in LA while she was filming Marriage Bootcamp and Andrew was working as part of the production staff. However, now that things have gone awry between the couple, it appears Andrew is hoping to move back to California to be closer to his family.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Round-Up, Andrew already filed a Notice of Intent to Relocate on August 15th. According to the court documents, Andrew wants to move back to Malibu, which is where he previously lived. Andrew is also arguing that his job is primarily based in California.

This news comes only a month after Amber was arrested for allegedly attacking Andrew while he was holding their son. According to Andrew, the reality star lunged at him with a shoe before pulling a machete on him. The couple subsequently announced on social media that they had broken up afterwards. Amber has also been charged with three felonies.

Though Amber and Andrew have not reached an official custody agreement following their split, the mom-of-two is currently only allowed to have supervised visitation with the infant. As of now, Amber has yet to publicly comment on Andrew’s plan to move. The Ashley said that the reality star has 60 days to respond to the Notice of Intent.

However, it’s highly likely that Amber will try to fight against the move. In a recent Teen Mom episode, the star admitted that she’d previously thought of moving to California herself. She went on to explain she never saw it as a feasible option since her 10-year old daughter Leah lives in Indiana with her father.

Amber shares Leah with her ex-fiancée Gary Shirley; the couple broke up almost a decade ago under eerily similar circumstances when Amber was arrested for domestic battery against him. Nonetheless, both Gary and his wife Kristina have supported Amber in court since the domestic dispute.

At the moment, Andrew is currently living in the Indianapolis home he previously shared with Amber, although she owns the property. Baby James is also living with his father full time. The Ashley reports that Amber is staying at her mother Tonya’s home and is not allowed to have direct contact with her ex-boyfriend.
