Amber Rose is officially a mother-of-two! The celebrity has given birth to her second soon, who she shares with her boyfriend Alexander Edwards.
The star delivered her new bundle of joy on October 10th and the parents didn’t wait long before confirming the good news on social media. They have also revealed their son’s eclectic name- and it’s definitely different yet totally adorable. “Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.. the world is urs now,” Alexander captioned a photo of himself holding the baby. “He continued, “Thank u @amberrose for loving me so much that u put ur body thru it 2 bring my sun [sic] in2 the world. I could never be as strong as u. Slash a rock star.”
This is the first child for Alexander, who’s the vice president of the Artists and Repertoire for Def Jam Recordings. It’s the second child for Amber, however, as she shares 6-year old son Sebastian with her ex-husband Wiz Khalifa. The couple announced their pregnancy news this past April with exciting social media posts.
“@ae4president and I are SUPER excited to announce that we have a Sweet little Baby Boy on the way!” Amber shared on Instagram alongside a photo of herself while getting an ultrasound. Her boyfriend also shared the same photo on his account, writing, “Even when it’s dark... my SON will shine. Thank u baby 4 my greatest gift. [this is] wild! I love you. I can’t wait to thug it out w my baby boy. & baby boy.”
Unfortunately, Amber’s second pregnancy hasn’t been easy on her. A month after making her pregnancy announcement, the celebrity revealed she was experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum- aka. extreme morning sickness. “For people that don’t know what it is, it’s basically extreme nausea, vomiting and dehydration, and [I’m] really, really tired,” she explained at the time. “I can eat a little bit more now because I’m in my second trimester, but not much, and I pretty much sleep all day.”
The mother-of-two also received criticism for promoting detox tea while pregnant. Back in June, BabyGaga reported that the model was promoting Flat Tummy Tea on her Instagram, much to the disdain of her followers. “They’ve just launched an Organic Pregnancy Tea to help us moms with those bloated, nauseous, blah feeling days,” Amber wrote at the time. “It’s safe to take while pregnant and breastfeeding.”
Many of the comments on Amber’s post criticized her for promoting a laxative and claiming it can be safe during pregnancy. “Another shameless ad for ‘magic tea’ perpetuating the need to have a flat tummy ... Now aimed at pregnant women!” one person wrote, for instance. “You're supposed to be a feminist. You have enough money. Seriously just stop.”
Congratulations to Amber and Alexander on the birth of their baby boy!
