Andy Cohen has had a fantastic year, both personally and professionally. The Bravo network star is celebrating his first birthday as a father and he’s making it no secret that he loves his new role as a parent. Cohen turned 51 this past weekend, which is four months after he welcomed his first child, Benjamin Allen Cohen. The little boy was born via surrogate.

According to E! Online, Cohen marked the occasion by sharing a photo of himself along with little Benji. In the caption, he wrote, “I got the best birthday present of all,” along with two red heart emojis.

Plenty of Cohen’s celebrity fans commented on the photo. Television personality Kelly Ripa sent her best wishes for Cohen on his birthday along with her husband, actor Mark Consuelos. Other celebrities such as Real Housewives stars Kyle Richards, Heather Dubrow, Teresa Giudice, Dorinda Medley, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, Melissa Gorga, and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyvae all wished Cohen a very happy birthday as well.

CNN correspondent Anderson Cooper, who is best friends with Andy Cohen, posted a photo on his Instagram account of the two men with Baby Benjamin. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! @bravoandy," the CNN host wrote. "So proud of all you've done, and for you and Baby Benjamin, it's just the beginning!"

Cohen officially became a father, role that he has long dreamed of, on February 4 when little Benjamin was born. And according to the television host, he was front and center during the delivery and the entire birthing process.

“I was in the delivery room, they cleaned him up a little bit. I took my shirt off and they put him right there and he was so alert,” he said. “He wasn’t crying. His eyes were open, and we just stared at each other for about two hours, just looking at each other and he was touching my face. It was just incredible."

Cohen also admits that while he is still learning the ropes when it comes to parenting, luckily he’s got a good support system behind him. He says that while it’s not easy for a single guy like himself to raise a baby, he’s got countless friends and family members that are helping him every step of the way.
