TV and radio personality Andy Cohen welcomed his first child into the world this week, Benjamin Allen Cohen.
We live in a time where it feels as if whenever we switch on the TV, open the newspaper, or check our timelines, we are greeted with bad news. Developments regarding Brexit, global warming, or sometimes even worse news than that. However, on rare occasion, there are a couple of topics that bring us together and give us something to celebrate.
While those topics tend to be few and far between, there are two big ones. A sporting triumph and news of a celebrity baby. Since this is BabyGaga, we'll focus on the second one, shall we? Whether its Beyonce, the Kardashians, or the British Royal family, nothing quite gets us celebrating like learning that a famous baby is on the way.
Well time to rejoice as that's exactly the type of news we have for you now. Andy Cohen, the host of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo, has welcomed his very first child into the world, a son. Cohen has named his little one Benjamin Allen Cohen after his grandfather. Cohen broke the news via Instagram on Monday night by posting a photo of himself with his newborn son.
At the time of typing this, just 13 hours after posting the pic, it has gained almost one million likes. As you can see, Cohen is beaming with pride. The reality TV personality announced that he was expecting a baby via a surrogate in December. He then followed up on and celebrated that announcement via a star-studded gender reveal party on New Year's Eve. Less than two months later and Cohen is now a father.
While we are extremely happy for Cohen and his new addition to the family, there is one thing we don't understand. Where on Earth does he find the time? Cohen has a long list of TV and radio shows that he both hosts and has a hand in, and now he has a child to look after too. It seems as if one of the busiest men in all of show business is about to get a whole lot busier.
