It might be hard to believe, but Angelina Jolie has a son that's not only 18 years old now, but preparing for his first semester of college. There are new reports that say the Hollywood actress helped celebrate her son’s milestone birthday with a sweet party in Cleveland, Ohio before sending him off to college.

According to Us Weekly, Angelina and Maddox were in Cleveland to visit a friend they had met while filming the actress’ movie, First They Killed My Father, which she had directed. Luong Ung, who has maintained a very close relationship with Angelina and her children, took to one of her social media accounts to wish Maddox a very happy birthday. She says that she got to spend the day with the young man and his famous mother, and even showed them around town.

“Angelina and Maddox visited me in Cleveland this past week to toast Maddox’s upcoming 18th birthday!” the Lucky Child author, 49, wrote on Facebook on Monday. “We started with lunch at Market Garden Brewpub and a visit to Ohio City Farm/The Refugee Response Program and Cleveland Museum of Art! I met Maddox when he was just a year old and today he turns 18 and going off to college! So proud! Happy Birthday, Maddox!”

Angelina also has four other children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt: Pax, 15; Zahara, 14; Shiloh, 13; and their 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Many fans remember how Angelina and Brad first debuted their romance with Maddox back in 2015, shortly after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston. The paparazzi were there to capture a sweet moment that Brad had with Maddox, who was only just a toddler at the time.

There’s no word if Brad Pitt got to have his own special celebration with Maddox. Even though some reports say that Brad is now on good terms with his children, it’s been years since he’s been photographed or seen with them in public.

Meanwhile, Us Weekly also reports that Angelina Jolie will be helping Maddox get settled into his college dorm in South Korea. Maddox enrolled at Yonsei University in Seoul, where he'll be majoring in biochemistry. Jolie will be tagging along for the trip.

So far, Jolie herself hasn’t made any public comments about Maddox’s birthday celebration, nor has she said anything about his move to South Korea. But seeing how the Jolie-Pitt kids are already world travelers, there’s a very good chance that the actress will be making many trips to Seoul in the coming months to visit her son.
