There was another royal baby born in Monaco last week and we all missed it because all eyes were on a different royal little one.
Andrea Casiraghi, who is the nephew of Monaco's reigning monarch Prince Albert, and his wife Tatiana Santo Domingo also welcomed their third child. They, just like Prince William and Kate Middleton, welcomed a little prince but it was not on the same day. Maximilian Rainier was born on Thursday, April 19th. Harper Bazar is reporting that little Maximilian is the seventh in line to the throne.
The newest Monaco prince was named after Prince Rainier III of Monaco, who is the little guy’s grandfather. Andrea is the son of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly’s daughter Princess Caroline of Hanover. Oh yes, the new prince is also Hollywood royalty as his grandmother was a legend in the business until she gave it all up for love and life as a royal. The couple did their very best to stay out of the spotlight during Santo Domingo’s third pregnancy. They are already parents to 5-year-old Alexander "Sacha" and 3-year-old India.
Andrea and Tatiana’s baby will not be the last royal baby of Monaco born this year. His brother Pierre Casiraghi and his wife Beatrice Borromeo are expecting their second child in May. They are already parents to 1-year-old Stefano. Also Charlotte Casiraghi, Andrea and Pierre’s sister, is reportedly pregnant with her first child with producer boyfriend Dimitri Rassam. The two are rumored to be getting married later this year, as well.
Royal baby season is in full swing in Monaco these days. The country’s newest prince Maximilian was born a little over a week ago. He did not make the headlines that Prince Louis Arthur Charles did with his highly anticipated arrival. The new prince of Monaco quietly made his entrance to the world, which is exactly how his parents wanted it to be. Like with their older two kids, Andrea and Tatiana, they try to keep their kids from the public eye as much as possible. They want to give them some semblance of a normal life.
It is not even May yet and already two royal babies have been born!
