Katy Perry is opening up about how pregnancy has affected her singing voice. The “Firework” singer is expected to give birth any day now. While she has been waiting for her baby girl’s arrival, Perry has noticed a change in her singing voice. Perry is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom at any moment now. The singer has been promoting “Smile,” her new album, which is set to be released on Friday. There has been a change, though, in her singing voice, Perry said. She says the weight she has gained while pregnant has caused her singing voice to change by a couple of keys, according to Music-News.

Perry says she has gained an extra 45 pounds while carrying her baby girl. She says it is interesting to have that weight sitting on her, with 30 of it being on her lung capacity. And even though it has not been challenging, she has had to change a couple of keys for singing. But she believes that is because of the physical intensity of her weight gain. Despite being more than nine months pregnant, Perry has been busy promoting her new album. She says a wedding date is not being planned at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for now, the couple's focus is on their daughter.

Perry and Bloom have said they are beyond thrilled to be welcoming their first child together. This will be Perry’s first child, and Bloom’s second, as he shares a son with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
