Baby boomers don't realize that so much has changed and their financial and parenting advice is quite outdated. Cost of living is way higher than when they were "our age" and they don't know what it's like to pay for college and come out with no job prospects even with a Master's degree. They also haven't stayed up-to-date with all of the new laws, regulations, and advice with kids. The worst thing that parents in the Baby boomer generation can say is, "my kids survived." They don't realize that millions of children did not survive. It is time for Baby Boomers to stop giving some of their outdated advice and it is important for current parents of young kids to always do their own research before listening to the baby boomers.
