Did you watch The Bachelor on Tuesday night? I sure did! This whole season has been a bit of a cringworthy series of bad choices. But, nothing could prepare us for idiocy and complete nut case of Pilot Pete's mother, Barb. The day after the finale not very many were talking about what the future might hold for Pete. They were talking about how Barb is the worst.

Let me break this down for you in case you want to participate in the trending Barb but have no idea what's going on. So, at the beginning of the season we see a clip from Barb crying saying "don't let her go bring her home." The clip was complete mess and we all speculated as to who she might have been referring to in her blubbering plea. We thought maybe Hannah B (a girl who broke his heart last season), a girl who he had already sent home from this season, or the fan favorite Madison.

Every year the bachelor or bachelorette is given the opportunity to spend the night with his favorite girls. There is no rules or expectations. Whatever happens in these "fantasy suits" are between the individual relationships. Before the fantasy suits weekend Madison told Peter that she would be a little upset if he was intimate with the other girls. Which is fair, she didn't want to have him propose to her if he slept with girls only a few days prior. Well, Peter of course did sleep with the other girls. We all knew he would. And then he was shocked that Madison was upset. Umm, okay Peter.

The final two girls were our sweet Madison and Hannah Ann. It wasn't that we didn't like Hannah, but we were confused as to why she was still there. Well, the girls met the parents. Hannah was sweet, fake cried to show how much she loved Peter, she knew what to say to the family to get them to like her. And well, they fell in love with Hannah Ann. Well, on the different side of things, Madison. Peter set up Madison for failure by telling his parents that he slept with other girls and Madison was mad.  Madison came in already having to defend herself. Peter's mom, Barb, was clearly upset and it appeared she might have been upset that 1) Madison didn't sleep with her son and 2) Madison was mad that he slept with other people. The whole family was upset that Madison was religious and didn't like to party, which is what Peter likes to do apparently. They gave Madison the hardest time and for good reason she was completely shaken up by the whole experience.

While Peter was talking to his family he said he was leaning towards Maddy. He loved Maddy and he could see himself really happy with her. Well, here comes mom Barb. Barb cries to Peter in desperation and says the infamous and cringworthy line of "don't let her go. Bring her home." She then pleads with her son to bring Hannah home and they would love her and give her all of the love in the world. Well, understandably, Madison knew that Peter's family hated her and so she she broke up with him. He was devastated, but in order to not disappoint his family he decided to propose to Hannah even though his heart was with somebody else. When he was about to tell his family about who he chose his mother was holding her breath and stressing out because she did not want Madison. Once Peter said, "Hannah" the whole family started screaming out of joy and relief.

On the finale night they showed the world a clip of the moment that Hannah and Peter broke up. Hannah knew that he was in love with somebody else and she didn't want that obviously. Peter knew he couldn't give her everything that she wants. Well, while this is all going down, Barb's facial expressions are in the bottom the screen. Every time that Hannah says something mean to her son, Barb claps! Barb is cheering on Hannah in the process of breaking her son. When Hannah takes the ring and throws it at him, Barb claps. When Hannah leaves her son crying, Barb claps. When Peter is brought onto stage, Barb doesn't clap. When Hannah is brought onto stage, she does a standing ovation for her. When Hannah is roasting Peter on national television and Peter just sits there silently, Barb is clapping in approval.

Then, cue in Maddy. Chris Harrison (the host) flies to Auburn to talk to Madison. While telling Madison everything that has happened since she left the show, Barb is still on the screen. Barb's face is burned into my brain. It is filled with hate, disgust and disapproval. She rolled her eyes as Madison told Chris that she loves Peter. The entire clip was Barb's awful terrible face. When Madison came onto the stage, Barb doesn't clap, and she just rolls her eyes as she whispers to her husband over and over.

Chris Harrison then asked Barb why she doesn't like Madison. Barb told Chris that she doesn't like Madison because Madison kept them waiting for three hours and didn't even apologize when she was late. She was also very upset that Madison wasn't willing to compromise while Peter was willing to compromise. Yes, Barb, you are right, Madison wasn't willing to compromise her beliefs and sleep with your son. And your son was willing to sleep with two women that he wasn't in love with. You are right.

At one point she told Chris that you have to "fail to succeed." She was saying that there was no way that this relationship was going to last and he will fail at this one before he finds a relationship where he will succeed.

Okay, lets talk about this whole thing for a second. Let us assume right now that Madison and Peter do make things work and they end up getting married. Lets say that they want to make these adorable little plane loving babies and they make Barb a grandmother. Do you really think that at this point Barb is going to be able to see her grandchildren? Do you really think that she is going to have a huge active role in her son's life? As much as I hate to admit it, the women in the relationship have complete control as to how often they see their in-laws. Madison could 100% keep their babies from Barb. Barb not only could mess up a relationship with her own son over this, but also her future grandchildren.

Okay, lets pretend that this relationship doesn't work out. If I were Madison I would run away so quickly! But now, the whole world knows about the psycho Barb who has conditional love and is not willing to set aside her feelings to think about what her son really wants. Barb is the monster-in-law that we are all afraid of marrying into. She is the one who will always judge. Not only will Barb screw up this current relationship, but possibly all of the other relationships that he might peruse. And I have one thing to say about that, I never want to be a Barb.

I have three beautiful and perfect little boys. They are my everything. I have a five-year-old, four-year-old and 2-year-old and they are my heart. I am so lucky to be their mother and I want to cherish every second I have with them because I know that this time goes by very quickly. One day, they will no longer need me as much, and one day, they will find themselves a wife. One day I will no longer be the most important woman in their life. One day, they will cleave to their wife and no longer go to me for their problems. I will no longer be the favorite. That day is terrifying to me. I am scared that I have to share my children one day. I am sad. That is why I am doing everything in my power right now while they are young so that I always have a spot in their heart even after they are married.

No matter who they marry I will have a smile on my face. There is no chance that I will fight the marriage, there is no way that I will tell my sons everything that I hate about the woman, and there is no way that I would tell them that it will never work out. I will never roll my eyes when their girlfriends talk, and I will not cry out of desperation if he tells me that he loves her. I don't care who he brings home, I will love her. Because if my son loves her, that is all that matters. I will not give my opinions, I will not actively fight against her, I will love her and make her feel welcomed because there is nothing more important than maintaining my relationship with my boys and my future grandchildren.

Barb was absolutely in the wrong and she will definitely regret treating Madison so poorly.
