Backstreet Boy member Nick Carter, 39; and wife Lauren Kitt Carter, 36, have welcomed their second child and first daughter on Wednesday. But they've only just recently released her unique and ethnic name.
Carter took to Instagram two days ago with a photo of his new baby daughter clutched against his wife's chest, just moments after being born, according to FOX News. In the photo, both Carter and his wife are wearing blue hospital caps while the boy band member leans down to kiss his wife on the forehead. In a deeply emotional post that detailed his wife's previous miscarriage that caused the couple great heartbreak, Carter reveals their little girl's name: Saoirse Reign Carter.

To my incredibly strong wife...For 2 years I watched you endure some of the hardest things a husband could ever witness. Going through the ups and downs of pregnancy all in the hopes that just maybe, with a little help from up above, we would get to this point. I’ll never forget the moment You asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I said nothing. But deep down inside I knew what I really wanted. So on January 28th 2019 when I walked out of that bathroom with that positive test I already knew that Saoirse was coming back to us. I just want to thank you for giving me the Life, Love and family that I always wanted. You are a true Warrior and I love you. #mommy #freedom #newbaby #saoirse #saoirsereigncarter #family
Saoirse is a traditional Irish name that means "liberty" and is pronounced as SEER-sha. The couple's baby girl will join big brother Odin Reign, three, who shares her middle name.
In the Instagram post, Carter calls his wife "incredibly strong", and talked about having to watch her go through two of the hardest years of their marriage, referring to the miscarriage. He compassionately recalled the painful points of the past and the hopefulness they both felt in their spiritual faith that they might get a chance to have another baby. He continued to state that at one point, his wife asked him what he wanted for his birthday and he didn't reply. Yet deep down, he really wanted her to have a positive pregnancy test.
"I already knew that Saoirse was coming back to us," Carter's post ends. "I just want to thank you for giving me the Life, Love and family that I always wanted. You are a true Warrior and I love you.”
The only bit of sour news to top this story is that it seems that Carter and his sister, Angel, felt they had no choice but to file a restraining order against their brother, Aaron. This happened after he recently made alleged threats against Nick's wife Lauren before Saoirse was born. Aaron has denied these claims and says he loves his brother and hopes for a reunion in the future. We hope that everyone in the Carter family is back to a peaceful and harmonious state soon.
We can't wait to see more photos of Saoirse growing up happy, healthy and strong in a loving family! Just one look at that photo and it's easy to see that the shape of Carter's heart is larger than life.
